This detached property offers private parking for two cars and the simply stunning traditional fishing village of Port Isaac is just a short stroll away. The quaint harbour sitting above the sandy beach is a hive of activity with boats coming and going, and is lined with pubs and cafés. Why not enjoy a lazy lunch in the Michelin starred Nathan Outlaw’s harbour side Fish Kitchen, or simply enjoy a Cornish pasty on the beach? The pretty village is regularly used as a setting for fictional Port Wen in the Doc Martin TV series, and many Friday evenings during the summer, the harbour is filled with song as the local folk group, Fisherman’s Friends, perform on the harbour side creating a magical end to a day. There is golf at one of many excellent courses nearby from the Point at Polzeath, to Trevone or St Enodoc. Alternatively, why not take a fishing boat out and catch your supper for the barbecue? The fishing town of Padstow is easily reached by ferry from nearby Rock. In Padstow you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail, a flat, off road, multi use trail that hugs the shoreline of the Camel Estuary all the way up onto Bodmin Moor, passing through the towns of Wadebridge and Bodmin, both full of history and worth a stop for a coffee. The beaches of Polzeath, just minutes from Port Isaac, are great for surfing, and with many local schools and hire shops, this is the perfect opportunity to try this fast growing water sport. The magical South West Coast Path has some of the most stunning walks and views you could imagine. The stretch from Polzeath to Padstow, which passes the Church of St Enodoc at Daymer Bay, the final resting place of Sir John Betjeman, is a favourite of locals and holidaymakers alike. Port Isaac is also a great base for touring, and Tintagel with its Arthurian legends, and Bodmin Moor with its literary connections, are easily reached, making Moonraker the perfect choice to not only enjoy Port Isaac but other wonderful parts of Cornwall too. Beach ½ mile. Shop 50 yards, pub 300 yards and restaurant 250 yards. Free WiFi Families or couples only.

We had a fantastic week over Christmas at The Moonraker. The cottage was beautifully decorated, very clean and we had been left lots of things we may need such as dish washer tablets, tin foil, washing tablets, tea, coffee, butter. We had even been left fizz and chocolate as a welcome gift. The hot tub was great and the cottage was extremely comfortable. It was a short walk into Port Isaac and a local shop just across the street.

We went as a family...4 adults and 2 children. The bungalow was clean and tidy and a home from home! Just a stunning placr to stay and they seemed to have thought of everything!! The co-op is a stone's throw away and the main beaches are also in walking distance. Such a beautiful area. The Mote restaurant is a must.
