The location of this property and the area it sits in are all perfect. The property itself however is a little tired inside and out and could do with some updating/ decorating. The double bed is so hard to the point that I found it uncomfortable and not easy to sleep in. Communication with Cumbrian cottages that run the property was non existent. I sent 2 messages prior to our stay and didn’t get an answer to either. In the end I phoned a helpline number for cottages.com and managed to speak to someone once we arrived at the property to get the key code, which was a bit frustrating. Also, Vrbo confirmed different times for getting into the property and check out times. When we arrived we found out that Cumbrian cottages don’t let you in until 5pm and ask you to leave at 9 am.

This is the third time we have stayed at this cottage and always have a lovely week. It is conveniently close to the main town whilst being in a quiet location. It only takes 10 minutes to walk into town for the lake, cinema, pub, shops etc. Walks from the door include Latrigg and Skiddaw. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and has a dishwasher. Replacement for previous booking.
Replacement for previous booking.
Replacement for previous booking. Bit dark and characterless but warm and well equipped. Information on activating the heating would be useful and which bin is which outside. Parking on road was ok but this is mid September, probably more difficult at other times. Thought it was a bit pricey for what it offered. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage in a quiet part of Keswick but it's an easy walk into town - delightful to walk through Fitz Park. Would definitely book again. Only a few tiny niggles: swimming pool was closed throughout our stay, the cottage could do with more knives and forks (6 of each only) - we were forever rinsing them between courses, the bath is on the short side, the door to the understairs cupboard sticks and the back garden could do with some TLC. Definitely the best accommodation in Keswick that we’ve stayed in.

Definitely the best accommodation in Keswick that we’ve stayed in. The cottage is spaced out well and has everything you will need for self Catering . The location is ideal as it is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre and next to Fitz park. Although you don’t have a dedicated parking space there was always somewhere to park. It is a peaceful location and only the noise of the river behind the property which is very relaxing. Would definitely return Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
