South facing stone cottage with open fire just a mile from Hexham market square with its excellent selection of shops, pubs and racecourse.. Ground Floor: Living room: With open fire. Dining room/kitchen: With oil Aga, electric cooker, fridge and dishwasher. Utility room: With washing machine. First Floor: Bedroom 1: With double bed. Bedroom 2: With twin beds. Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.. Oil central heating and oil included (£30 per week, £15 per short break November-March). Electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and fuel for open fire included. Cot. Highchair. Telephone-honesty box. . Enclosed garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and BBQ. Private parking for 2 cars. Smoking permitted.. Down a peaceful leafy lane just a mile from the heart of the historic market town of Hexham, this spacious, traditional stone house sits in its own south-facing garden. Near the owner’s home, it provides comfortable and well-equipped holiday accommodation. Perhaps the most romantic of all Northumbrian towns, Hexham offers a good selection of shops, restaurants and inns, together with an excellent golf course and National Hunt racing. Kielder Water and Newcastle are both 24 miles. Scottish borders easily accessible. Sports centre, fishing and riding locally. Shops 1 mile. Only dogs allowed at the property.

A beautiful cosy cottage nestled away on the outskirts of Hexham. This gorgeous cottage offers a wonderful retreat and get away for guests complete with an Arga stove and overlooking fields. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

A great cottage in a superb location on the edge of town.
A great cottage in a superb location on the edge of town. Plenty of paths to walk with the dogs and very easy to get to shops, etc. Ideally situated for exploring the area. We were made to feel very welcome by the friendly owners and the property was very clean and we prepared. Highly recommended.

Absolute home from home.
Absolute home from home. Fresh flowers from the garden to welcome us. It was just perfect for us. The views from the bed over to fields with cows was amazing. Great welcome. A little gem

A couple of pointers, the sofa and chairs could do with some cushions, the fridge door did not close properly and a couple of small milk pans would have been useful.
The aga was briliant and heated the kitchen really well, especially when the weather is not so good.

Lovely characterful property in an unexpected location quite near Hexham town centre - we like it a lot (this was our second visit). Low West has a marvellous feel about the place as it has been kept original in many ways. The owners are nearby neighbours of the cottage and are very nice indeed. Having an Aga for a week was a real treat so we cooked with it the whole time. Thumbs up from us.
