There is an open plan living area with a cosy wood burner, a modern German central heating system and comfy Hypnos beds to come home to after a day of adventure, and lots of outdoor space surrounding the cabin. Fishing for two rods (not supplied) on the river is free of charge and this stunning natural woodland is heaven for walkers, cyclists and wildlife enthusiasts. The location itself was lovely however the lodge, although had been cleaned on main surfaces, requires a deep clean and suspect it has not had one for a while. The floors were dirty, we put the fluffy rugs to one side as they looked liked they had not been hoovered for a long time and had loads of bits in them. Mould on walls in one of the bedrooms, windows and sills not cleaned (lots of dead insects). Kitchen cleaned around the appliances only by looks of it. If a deep and thorough clean could be performed and a few bits updated then it would be lovely. I also sent message to cottages.com prior to stay and had no response. On a positive note it was a warm lodge and having the stove was lovely.
