After an exciting day of hiking, biking, skiing and exploring come back to relax with a meal on the outdoor gas grill, cozy up by the gas fireplace and enjoy a movie on the large SmartTV. Timberline Mountain is only 1.5 miles away, Canaan Valley Ski Resort is 6 miles away, White Grass Cross Country is 7 miles away and Blackwater Falls State Park is 16 miles away. OLD TIMBERLINE - A private, gated community located in beautiful Canaan Valley. You have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake in Timberline to canoe and fish at (swimming prohibited by the HOA) and access to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. You will be staying in a private, gated community. Please have a list of everyone that will be staying in the house (first & last names) and vehicle information. A guard house form will be given to you at check-in for you to put the information on that you will give to the guards. It was great, anyone who hasn’t t visited Canaan Valley should. It is a great place to just relax and take in hw scenery. Blackwater Falls is amazing! The towns of David and Thomas are so unique! A must come and see for yourself! It was really clean and well maintained. Beautiful home! Becky was wonderful!!!

We really enjoyed ourselves. It was peaceful and beautiful; the perfect combo for our getaway weekend where we wanted to relax and unwind. Livingroom/fireplace, hot tub, outdoor deck & patio. These were all very nice! The fire ring outside was very neat, and we were going to use it, but ran out of time. Very helpful and friendly.

The hot tub was not very clean and that was disappointing. We were really looking forward to the hot tub but it was slimy and had a lot of floaters in it. The gas fireplace stopped working on the 2nd day which was also disappointing. There was no response by property owner through the Airbnb site, but maybe there was a better way to reach them that we didn’t know about.

Loved it. If the price of the house was less, I would do more often. The house was super comfortable. The furniture felt clean and was new which I appreciated. The house was also warm and well build and the community was really pretty. Everyone was super helpful.

Great location, great cabin. On site shovel needs to be replaced, there were trees down by the fire pit and hot tub area that I had to remove. Roof leaked, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay

Staying at Gnarnia was the perfect peaceful getaway. The location was perfect, the views were stunning and the home itself was warm and inviting. It is the perfect place to enjoy those you love and spend time outdoors. The experience was wonderful and we are already talking about coming again! The setup for key pickup and return was very smooth and was not far from where we were staying. The response time was extremely quick and efficient and all answers were full and complete.
