I definitely wouldn't recommend this property to anyone who wants a restful stay.

What breakfast????? An open bag of muesli out of date.milk provided also a week out of date, but later told by owner that he buys it fresh then freezes it.

No privacy, shared all of outdoors with owner who was ever present & wanting to chat.could hear owner turning the pages of his book through the wall.the lack of kitchen prep area even to make a hot drink was difficult.Drawers grubby, the property needed a deep clean.Induction plate provided but no instructions & nowhere to sit it.generally a lack of effort very apparent.

Quiet street in a nice area, quick walk to city center for restaurants and shops. Spacious 2 bedroom, with kitchenette and nice bathroom.

Gavin and Harvey were very welcoming, and the location was very quiet and relaxing even though only there for a short time, but it was awesome overall.

lots of space, fabulous bed and the best pillows in South Island. beautiful garden and back deck plus WM. Amazing host - Gavin!

Very friendly and helpful host, very clean and high quality apartment, great location close to city center but very quiet.

Cooking for a family is a bit of a challenge, unless you also use the BBQ outside.

delightful

The location is wonderfully placed with a 20min walk into the main center or 5 min drive/bike ride. The lovely cafe Melrose is direct across the road with wonderful staff. You have access to a courtyard shared with homeowner but he is more than willing to share space and is always there for help/advice. Harvey (the dog) is very cute and will meet you morning and night for a catch-up/pat or cuddle.

The kitchen space is small but has BBQ outside that gives you more room. You just have to think about how you will use it.

Superb

Door code changed for each new stay. Super easy. Host was very friendly and informative, and conscientious about anything else that we might need. Very well priced as well. I highly recommend this place

Kitchen is a tiny nook, fine for a couple but a bit challenging for now than 2 people. There is a hot plate provided but we never used it as there wasn’t enough space for that and the kettle and coffee took priority

Made for a very relaxing few days.

Very handy to Fairfield House where we were attending a function. Also short pleasant walk to town. Gavin was very welcoming and Harvey the dog a great pal.

Nice 2-bedroom place with everything we needed. Driveway is steep but manageable.

Great location with everything we needed

There was some confusion around our arrival and as such the owner hadn’t turned on the fridge or provided milk etc. He was more than happy to help once he realised we were there.

Everything was clean and tidy, nice new bathroom++ Owner’s dog is super friendly, came by each morning for a pat.
