About this house rental

Located in Mokuleia, this charming house for $225 per night is a great choice for your next break. Hale Nanea is tucked away with a quiet secluded beach in front. The peaceful gardens around the house and white sand beach just steps away allows you to enjoy your own piece of island paradise. It is located on the North Shore of Oahu near world renowned surf breaks but away from the hustle. A lagoon that stretches the length of the beach is perfect for snorkeling. There is surfing on the reefs on the outside of the lagoon in the winter. There are elegant gardens surrounding the house that feature many native plants. The house is furnished with hand made furniture and accent pieces from Indonesia and Asia. You can enjoy the quiet tranquility of the house and beach or within minutes be in the town of Haleiwa for dining, shopping and drinks. Owners live on the property. We are available if you need anything but your privacy is of the utmost importance to us and will always be respected. When you enter the property you pass our house and when we walk to the beach we pass your house. ***Please note*** We have a 7 and a 5 year old. The houses share one wall that has the laundry room, storage and a bedroom on our side. Noise transfer has not been an issue except what you may hear out the windows. You will see the kids and possibly neighbor kids that come over to the beach. There is no air conditioning in the home. There are ceiling fans and floor fans. The tropics can get very hot in the summer. If heat is a concern for you this may not be the best option.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay! Snorkeling off the beach was amazing and we saw Turtles in the water everyday. The garden is beautiful. Couldn't get enough of those Plumeria trees! Great location, we explored the North Shore everyday and came back to a lovely home away from home. Thank you so much for having us! We hope to be back one day. :)

Thanks to our host Laura and her nice place with a direct access to the beach and sea. We felt like we were in a small jungle with beautiful plants. Sabine & Alexander

AMAZING location! You walked out the back door and in less than a minute not only were you on a semi private beach but there were great snorkeling and even sea turtles right there! Laura was really easy to contact and quick to respond. The ONLY thing (and I'm only posting this because I wish I would have known) was there was almost zero privacy. We chose a vrbo over a condo because we're very private people and there was laughably no privacy. We were having to get changed in the shower just because there are no window coverings and we'd be getting changed and someone would walk past our open window. There wasn't even a door on the restroom. There are roll down shades on the bedroom window but between dust and the humidity they had "gooped" open and were VERY hard to close. My husband checked and even if they were closed at night if there were any lights on inside you could still see into the bedroom. We also would have liked to watch movies at night but you have to leave all the windows open for ventilation and we didn't want to disturb the neighbors. I'm also not a reptile person and there are geckos(?) living in the rafters. We named him Chirpy and that did help. It seemed that he just stayed in the rafters luckily... Both very happy with the location to the beach but would we stay again...I don't know. I'm not trying to be mean but I'm posting because I read the reviews and wish someone would have said something :)

The location of this property is ideal. We like to be away from the hustle, bustle of the Waikiki and Honolulu area, and the North Shore is a perfect fit for us. We loved the property, the beautiful flowers on the property, and especially the beach. Almost always empty. Greatly enjoyed watching the sea turtles in the water! I would highly recommend this property. Laura was a wonderful host!

Our second time at the property. Hosts were very respectful of privacy and gracious. The unit is peaceful and quiet and the location cannot be beat. Great to go nowhere and just relax on the beach, and a perfect base location for North shore, and a short drive or bike ride to town.
