This has to be one of the best rentals we’ve ever made. The cute little house was perfect for a couple who want a quiet getaway. It was perhaps the cleanest VRBO we’ve visited. The owners who live next door are really nice and welcoming, but, in the end, they leave you to your own peace and quiet. I would highly recommend this cottage.

We had a wonderful week staying at Lakewood Haven. The cottage was cozy and we loved the Adirondack decor. Everything we needed was provided and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Great place to relax.

This is a great cottage in a lovely place with terrific landlords! Early September is a nice time of year too.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and the perfect place to stay if you're looking for quiet, or if you're looking for recreation. Tom and Cookie are are fabulous, and are readily available if there's anything you could possibly need. There are many activities in the local area area and you definitely won't be bored! I felt immediately at home from the moment I stepped foot inside. I made a reservation for next year before I even unpacked my car. Cookie and Tom thought of everything. I've rented other camps before but for various reasons never returned. My search for the perfect lakeside vacation spot is over. Thank you Cookie and Tom. See you next year!

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this terrific cottage for our 25th anniversary. The location is on peaceful Algonquin Lake. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the deck, overlooking the water. The property has dock access, and two kayaks available for guests to use. The house is clean and well-maintained. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessities and a few staples (including k-cups). Excellent!!!

Spent the weekend on this beautiful lake. Tom and Cookie were amazing. The views were amazing. So peaceful and quiet. 5 stars all around!

My husband had work in the area, and my two year old and I accompanied him on the trip. This is where we lodged. The house and setting were so peaceful and quiet, and the owners were very hospitable and thoughtful in their accommodations and interactions with us. If we return to this area, we would stay here again!

The house is very clean and well furnished. The owners were very friendly and we greatly enjoyed our stay even though it rained quite a bit while we were there. Coming from the city, I recharged my batteries with the beautiful fall colors, kayak rides on the calm lake. We plan to visit again.

The cabin was amazingly beautiful and so cozy!! We love the outdoors and so all the outdoorsy decor was just perfect. The view out the windows and while sitting on the deck was just amazing!! Thank you for such a beautiful place to stay in and all the comforts of home within its walls. We would definitely like to return again someday!!

We had a short but wonderful stay at Cookie and Tom’s cottage. We took advantage of all of the amenities: used the nicely stocked kitchen for breakfasts, grilled burgers our first night, sat out on all of the available seating (swing, deck, and waterside with coffee), appreciated lots of towels in the bathroom, used the tv and fireplace in the evenings, and, most importantly, had a triumphant kayak adventure!

We enjoyed a fabulous long weekend on the lake! Nearby cute towns & hiking trails galore. At cabin entrance a nice sized porch with super comfortable seating & room for more. Wow! a peaceful space with beautiful mountain and woodsy pine trees views. We loved it and used it often. The entire cabin can be described as having several sweet, comfortable spaces throughout. In back an open lakeview deck with table & 4 chairs & room for more. Super comfortable to enjoy the surrounding trees and lakefront & perfect for us for mornings with coffee, newspapers and crosswords. A few short steps or easy walk down a small incline to the lake. Fabulous long rectangular lakefront space with a table & lots of seating and layout chairs & plenty of space for more to hang out, walk into the water or jump off the nice long dock & swim to the swimming platform. There are 2 sit-in kayaks and easy put in into the water which has a shoreline to step into off the dock and also shallow surrounding area. We also enjoyed sitting lakefront with a good book or conversation and just hanging out relaxing for hours, just perfect. Hubby loved fishing right off the pier. Between the back deck and the lakefront there are additional seating areas - a sweet fire pit with 2 Adirondack chairs, plus a great large wooden swing seat & a propane bbq grill. The whole space was just perfect. Inside was spotless. Clean as a whistle and super comfortable too. Well constructed, decorated and feels new, open and spacious. Choice of DirectTV, or, Roku streaming using our own logins/services. The kitchen area and TV area are all one large, open, comfortable room. Modern kitchen with both Keurig & regular coffeemaker & an adjacent comfortable medium sized table & chairs & a large window facing the lake & a door to access the outdoor deck. The TV area has 2 sofas & there is a separate bedroom with slider door access to the lake facing deck & a very comfortable Queen sized bed. Another separate room with a long modern bathroom with shower & excellent water pressure. I cannot say enough good things about Tom & Cookie and their fabulous cabin. Amiable, super nice & excellent to talk who also gave us our privacy, exclusive use of the cabin, amenities & entire lakefront. 'We'll be back' is the highest compliment I can pay and you can bet we will be!!! Yay for fabulous homeowners who share their treelined, woodsy, soul nourishing lakeside spaces! Perfect for a few days in the Adirondacks, very clean and comfortable cabin. We enjoyed having the propane grill and enjoyed most of our dinners this way. Enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the lake. Very relaxing.
