About this condo rental
Situated in Kaanapali, this charming condo for $125 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Located on the north end of the world acclaimed Kaanapali Beach, Paki Maui is its own island of tranquility. Paki Maui is a four-story, three building, 108 apartment structure located directly on the ocean with a sand beach and a double-reef so you can swim and snorkel in safety and comfort. This complex also offers a large grassy lawn area that fronts the beach where you can sit comfortably under the palm trees and gaze out on the islands of Molokai and Lanai and where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a game of Frisbee. Whale shows are frequent from mid-November through March and every sunset is spectacular! The Koi pond, lush gardens, and ocean surf all lend to creating a peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of the big hotels. Our unit, number 114, is a one-bedroom one-bath ground level garden apartment that reflects that sense of peace and harmony. Situated in the midst of the lush tropical garden. The trade winds continually blow and keep this shaded unit cool and comfortable-no need for air conditioning. The shower has a dual control shower head and hand wand. The toilet is equipped with a bidet. The bedroom offers a queen size bed, and flat screen TV. The living room is equipped with a comfortable sofa bed with a six inch mattress, as well as a flat screen TV. There is free WIFI Internet, cable TV, and a room safe. You are literally steps away from the Pool/BBQ area where you will find a swimming pool, whirlpool, tables, and barbecue grills which are surrounded by granite countertops and of course the ocean. Washers and dryers are located on each floor for your convenience. There is a Times grocery store just a 5 minute walk south, along with a Subway, Jazzin’ Java, and several other stores. Directly across the street is Ohana Tacos, Honokowai Okazuya for the best deli on the West Side, and The Fish Market for the freshest catches around. Just a few steps north is Bad Ass Coffee (Maui’s version of Starbucks) and on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is host to a Farmer’s Market in their parking lot, where you can buy fresh produce and other island delicacies. Room rates are plus tax (Hawaii General Excise tax of 4.167% & Transient Accommodation tax of 9.25%).Also included is a pre-arrival cleaning. We can arrange for additional cleanings at your expense if you wish. There is a minimum of 3 nights stay. There MAY BE a $20 resort fee payable at the front desk at check-in payable by you for parking. 1/2 of the total rental due at booking and the remaining 1/2 due 30 days prior to arrival date. Cancellation policy: If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, the deposit is forfeited. However, if we can rebook the room your deposit will be cheerfully returned less a $50 administration fee. If cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival, you will receive a full refund. This is a non-smoking apartment. There are designated smoking areas on property.

This is a great location, close to a lot of nice beaches with its own oceanfront. Beautiful views of the ocean and sunset right from the front lawn.

The unit is in a great location. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed seeing the whales from the lawn, even saw a turtle. We would definitely come back again.

First of all, I want to say that communication with the property manager was excellent! He answered all of my questions immediately.
The apartment is in a complex. It’s a first floor unit with a back sitting area. Very comfortable bed and nice kitchen. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. but some basics like oil, ketchup and mustard would be a great addition. Oh and coffee filters.
There are ceiling fans in each room which is good, but air conditioning in the bedroom would be a nice addition. It didn’t cool down quite enough at night during our stay.
But, overall, this is a really nice apartment in a neighborhood near stores and food. Ample parking. We were very happy there

We loved the unit and location.. couldn't afford to pay the big prices for the more central places and this place was an easy bus ride to the nice beaches. It was great to swim out the front here too. The added extras in the unit like snorkelling gear, beach chairs, body boards, we're all appreciated!

Spacious and fully equipped condo close to the best beaches in Maui. The owner was very helpful, especially when we had to deal with a flat tire the morning of our departure. We will certainly visit again!

When I finally got here (not that getting HERE was difficult) but, it being Tuesday- before Thanksgiving- the office was closed at 12pm. And I had searched for days beforehand for D. Susser’s name, info, ANYTHING for him- but I had nothing!
Now, I’m in a time crunch situation where- I’m tired as h to the double hockey sticks (bc I’ve gotten up at 5am my time, traveled all day, and now it’s 12am my time-8pm here). There’s a number to text, but it’s for drivers (if you don’t want to get your car towed). I try it? I get a response : “is this an emergency?” And I think to myself, no, it’s not an emergency for the tow truck driver to figure out where my owner is!?!
So, it’s~8.30pm, & I go to Travelocity? There are 2 separate units available, 1 for $2k & the other for $850, so I unwillingly go for the $850 (pre-taxes).
The next day, when I drove to Paki Maui, I’m told by David Susser, that VRBO was supposed to have emailed me a sheet with all of this info three days before my trip?
So I didn’t need worry, or fret, or press “contact VRBO” (because it will only say device disconnected, try again later!)
And don’t worry, I called David Susser, and he happily told me that VRBO was supposed to fulfill all my needs (again wrong), but he did quickly tell me about a guy who invited a guy over who happened to be a squatter (!) but he did NOT tell me that I was NOT supposed to lock the upper lock on the front door!
The entire trip would’ve been lost if it weren’t for waves

When we arrived, the place was not cleaned and was occupied by someone, perhaps a squatter ? The cleaning person did not clean earlier in the day, this not knowing someone else was in the place.

Beautiful property, well maintained. A great home from home. Lots of little extras that just complete your stay. Loved sitting out near the sea watching the turtles in the waves,. We would have loved to have seen a whale but we were out of whale season.
Good area to stay in but wouldn't have said it was Lahaina as advertised but is in Kaanapali.. I would recommend this place to everyone, and would like to think that if we make it back one day David's place would be a must.

We chose this property for the price & location. Watching whales and turtles from the beach was an added bonus. Snorkeling right off the beach was so easy compared to driving down the coast.
We knew there wasn’t air conditioning, but didn’t expect to be uncomfortable. We were. Only one fan worked well. Would have appreciated more than 2 rolls of toilet paper.

The property was cute and the bedroom was air-conditioned which was nice. I am sure the back patio would have been great to hangout on in the garden area unfortunately i am very sensitive to the smell of marijuana so I want able to open the doors up very often. Marijuana is legal for medicinal use in Hawaii so by no means am I saying anything illegal happens at the property. It was a really nice and friendly place with amazing sunsets.

We loved this place! It was clean and comfortable. We loved having breakfast by the tropical garden. The place was also very well supplied with paper towels, toilet paper, dish detergent, and even shampoo and conditioner. (Which we appreciated! This is "not a given" in a vrbo property.) We were also grateful for use of the boogie boards. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return! Mahalo!

My family loved this place! It was a great location with lots of food options close by. The food truck park was easily accessible and there were also dining options across the street. The kids enjoyed the pool and beach access at the park next door. Ka’anapali beach is also a short drive with a big parking lot. The unit has all of the amenities you would need for a wonderful Hawaiian vacation!! The lanai was nice area to relax and eat breakfast in the morning. I wish we were still there!!

We spent a lot of time in the backyard patio. The shared common area is a well maintained tropical garden. The beach just a short walk, but rocky. We discovered some amazing sandy beaches a short drive away, great for snorkeling, swimming, walking the boardwalk, and just relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked. The apartment is lovely! We did not use the televisions. There is a small room AC in the bedroom. We tried it once, but preferred the cooling cross-breeze from the front window and back screen door. We enjoyed the beach towels and mats, but did not use the snorkeling and other beach gear.
The hosts are amazing! We had a small problem (ground floor is great, but when upper condos have water problems…). Repairs were prompt and effective, communication was excellent.
Wi-Fi is excellent, we used it for some video calls and a bit of work communication. Cell phone service on the island is not available in some areas; be sure to download Google offline map of the island before you come.
Five star reviews are too common. In this case, it is well deserved.

This was one of our favorite places to stay on our trip. The condo is beautifully decorated, very clean, and we were able to use the snorkeling and beach supplies for our day trip to Kaanapali Beach. The only thing it lacked was air conditioning so it did get pretty hot in the unit even with all the windows/doors open.
It is also within walking distance of a number of shops/places to eat. Definitely would book again if we were in the area again!

The apartment is located in the great area. Even though it’s on the ground floor the garden in the back makes you feel like you’re in a tropical rainforests. The host was amazing and very accommodating. Everything you need is in the apartment. Definitely will rent here again thank you. Thank you Dave and Cindy
