This is a great place for a large group. A great variety of indoor games and equipment for snowplay is wonderful. The Kitchen is well stocked love have two dishwashers for our large group.

Our group consisted of 6 families all with kids that ranged from 5-11 year olds. What a game changer to have Northstar shuttle pick you right in front of the house. The proximity to Northstar is unmatched. The house and kitchen are well stocked. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The owner of the house was so responsive and great with communication. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

House was large enough for our family (13) that we were all able to spread out and have our own space but still be together. Kitchen is large and easy to make big meals. Burners are tricky to light though. Some mattresses and carpet could be updated, but overall everyone was happy and slept well. House was clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely book this same house again. House is packed with things to do inside and out. Kept kids entertained well (ages 3-15). Steve was helpful on giving local suggestions and responded quickly if/when we reached out. Location was perfect for free shuttle to slopes.

Our family decided that January 1-6 would be a great time for Christmas and would eliminate the pull and tug deciding which house to be at for the morning, evening, Christmas Eve or dinner. The celebration with the family of the partners was on Christmas and with our family on New Year's. We spent most of the week playing games; all kinds of games. The younger ones went out to play or found a game inside, too, and we could have our meals in a separate space from the game boards. Great week; great space. We were fortunate not to have to plow through any snow to get there, but disappointed because there was no snow until the last day!

The place is perfect for our large family with so many things to do at the house and up at Northstar. The shuttle is convenient and easy to use. We loved being able to cook and hang out in one area for meals! The house has several spaces for everyone to do different things. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays and it made us feel at home. Steve was responsive and very easy to communicate about any questions or needs during our stay. We can't wait to enjoy the place again!

Great house for our family. It has everything you could ever need! Steve , the owner was great to communicate with . I know some people commented on washing towels before you leave , so we had all our family bring a towel for the last day and washed all our towels the night before. It worked out great! We also chose to take paper plates and utensils so there wasn’t much to clean. Had an amazing time! We would definitely come back again! Also , loved the free shuttles to ski resort.

Huge house with many amenities for large groups!
Ping pong, billiard, darts, hot tub, BBQ, TV, big kitchen with everything you could need, you name it, there's something for everybody, and plenty of space, you'll never feel crowded.
Hands down recommend this property, specially for big 14+ people groups. Also great communication with the property manager, super helpful at all times!

What a perfect spot to spend quality time with family. We filled every room, allowing each pod to have their own space, and never felt like one area was too crowded. With young kids included, there were so many options for entertainment / playing.
The house is in a great location with a beautiful view and a short drive to the lake / resort.
The kitchen could easily handle our big meals all together.
Once we figured out how to handle the trash, it was easy peasy! Just be prepared to have a few car loads taken to the shared dumpster area.
It was so cozy and we’re all so thankful to have had this space.

Great place to unwind with a large group. Plenty of space to spread out and most every amenity one could want. Would book again.

This home was perfect for our large group. This year was the first year without our Mother, who's passed in January of this year. Our parents started our reunion 30 years ago and since then, we've continued our reunion as siblings with our children and grandchildren. The space was great and it accommodated our family. All the games from the volleyball net, ping pong table, pool table, hot tub, and many more board games was a great hit! Appreciate your help with the check in process. Helped us out a lot. Thank you thank you!!

Our family of 14 spent a terrific week at this home, and it was everything we could have hoped for. It's in a great location, and the mornings on the deck looking over the golf course and forest were wonderful. The house had good spaces for gathering (and we definetly used the ping pong table) but also enough space for quiet time when desired. The outdoor area and games were well used. We appreciated the double refrigerator setup, and the huge kitchen and adjoining sitting area were perfect for group gatherings while cooking. Communication with Steve was easy and fast, and we appreciated the local area tips we received from him. We hope to return again.

Online listing said 8 bedrooms but there were only 7, and it said 5 bathrooms but there were 6. The inside of the cabin was rustic with a lot of character and we loved it. Kitchen space was great. Loved that it had two large refrigerators and two large tables. Loved the gas fire pit on the deck and the hot tub. The biggest downside was having to wash all of our own towels before checkout and having to dump our garbage off site. We have a large family and it was very comfortable and fun for our reunion. Would definitely love to stay here again.

Great house design for family reunion. Lots of space for kids and adults to visit in separate areas of the house. Comfortable beds. The king size beds were very welcome. Communication with property manager and housekeeper was easy and friendly. Any questions or concerns were addressed promptly.

Our large group of people enjoyed a wonderful weekend staying at this cabin. It fit us all really well with plenty of space. Towels were not an issue for us, as the bathrooms all supplied multiple and a cabinet in the laundry had many more to use (plus beach towels available!). We didn’t have time to explore the resort amenities but would have loved too. Gorgeous mornings spent on the deck. Would stay here again - and next time much longer than a short weekend!

Our family of 24 had ample room in this house and the backyard provided a safe play area for the many kids we had. Rec center fantastic.
Property owner extremely responsive over some minor issues

House could use some updating- such as the carpet. But overall, it was good. Lots of things for kids to do such as ping pong, badminton, horseshoes and a putting green! The resort access was awesome!

An incredibly spacious and versatile home in a spectacular, quiet location.

The house was super comfortable. We loved all the activities available right at the house- both inside and out! Weather was great, communication fabulous!

The House is as advertised. Great Location. Large enough to comfortably fit 18 Adults plus 5 Teens. Kitchen well stocked. Fun backyard with Badminton, Putting surface, Horseshoes, Fire Pit & Hot Tub, along with inside activities of Darts, Pool Table, & Ping Pong. Easy access to Northstar resort activities of Hiking, Basketball, Swimming & Pickleball. Enjoyed a fantastic King's Beach day. Had a time!!

The house was amazing! We had a very relaxing time hanging out playing cornhole and enjoying the view. We even saw a bear! My only complaint would be no dish soap or small wash rags in the kitchen, no trash cans in the bathrooms and not enough towels or coffee cups. We look forward to staying here again! Thank you so much :-)

We had a family reunion over Easter weekend with 23 people (ages 1-78) who came from California, Nevada, and Florida, and every person loved it! The house was even lovelier in person compared to the pictures. There were so many areas to relax and gather, lots of space for the kids to roam about, and windows all around with lots of light! It definitely felt like our home for those few days.
The house has everything you need so all you need to bring are your personal items and food and drinks. The kitchen was one of our favorite rooms as we spent lots of time cooking and baking together, eating, and chatting (plenty of pans, utensils, plates, cups, cutting boards, mixing bowls, and much more). We brought some spices and condiments, but they had most of what we needed already. Loved that they had a rice cooker and Keurig, which was used a lot. Everyone enjoyed the great room and played many games of pool, darts, and ping pong, watched movies, played the piano, poured drinks at the bar, played lots of games, and finished a large puzzle at the dining table (we did bring our own puzzle after reading a review mentioning some missing pieces for the ones there).
Outside, everyone enjoyed the hot tub, sledding, and playing in the snow, which the kids enjoyed the most, and even used the grill to make some dinner for all. It snowed one of the days, and we were all perfectly happy staying in all day. Don't forget to check out the storage room to the left of the front door there as it's full of other items you may wish to use - we found an air pump there we needed to blow up our snow tubes!
The location is awesome and easy to get to. Stores are not too far for anything else you need, as well as restaurants, casinos, and North Lake Tahoe. Getting to and from North Star Resort was very easy and convenient with the free shuttle service - it arrived very quickly after requesting from the phone app and picked us all up right in front of the house.
The instructions for check-out were simple enough. The only thing is one of the dryers was out, which was expected as we were informed before we arrived, but we made it work!
Would definitely recommend this place and we hope to come back again! We made many good memories here and had an amazing family reunion. Some of the kids even cried when we were leaving! The host is very friendly, communicative, and accommodating - thank you very much, Steve!

We really enjoyed staying at Steve’s home. It has everything you could possibly need and more. The decor is really beautiful and very well set up. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home. It’s also on the shuttle for northstar making it easy to get there for skiing.

Great home for a big family and friend gathering. Clean, organized, and comfortable. Has two dishwashers!
House matches the listing, the neighborhood is lovely, the hot tub was hot ;) Would stay again.

Our group needed seven bedrooms and Steve’s house was just that. A very large house to host seven families.
It is very dated, just like most houses in the area. There were holes in the walls and poorly patched up holes. Bathrooms could use a sprucing up. One of the toilet seats kept popping up. One of the dishwashers were broken upon arrival which meant we constantly had to run and unload the one working dishwasher. The handle of the other dishwasher kept popping off making it hard to open and close the door.
Kitchen was very well stocked with every kitchen gadget and accessory imaginable. Strange that of the 50+ plates in the kitchen, there were only like 4 mugs and about 6 bowls. Another thing the house was short on were towels. With seven bedrooms they needed about 6 more towels.
Backyard is a great space for kids to play in the snow. It’s a bit downward sloping so perfect for a nice, steady ride on the sled.
Northstar shuttle was super easy and convenient to request. You could even walk there if you wanted, it’s very close.
Overall a great place to stay if you need a large house, photos are an accurate depiction of the rooms/house.
As others have mentioned, washing and drying towels for such a large house before checking out at 10am is a huge negative. For that alone, I would look for another property if I needed a large house near Truckee/North Star.
5.0
We spent ski week at this house, and enjoyed every minute of it. The teens were happy and fully entertained with the pool/ping pong table, and darts. The 2 separate dining spaces were perfect to seat our entire group. We even had room to host another family for dinner. There was a lot of snow, and because we were on the shuttle route, we never had to drive. The kitchen is FULLY stocked, and having the dual washers/dryers was very handy. (There are 2 dishwashers, but one was broken when we were there) We’ve rented many houses up by Northstar, and we love that this houses has a huge foyer with lots of hooks and seating. The worst thing after getting back from skiing is walking into a cramped hallway with no where to take your ski clothing off. The other excellent perk is the shed right outside the front door! What a great place to store all our skis/snowboard and other snow gear. The layout of the house was perfect with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We’d definately return to rent this house again!
4.0
Great gathering spaces and very well-stocked kitchen. Disappointed that hair dryer was not delivered after informing the property manager that there was not one present. No time during vacation to purchase and be reimbursed for that. Also, the garbage situation is quite annoying - you have to drive it to the rec center, which wasn’t clear. Trying to find out how to do this was time consuming and unclear from the instructions. They charge $10/bag of trash left behind, and you have to wash and dry all the towels before leaving. Who has time for that on the day of checkout 10 am?
The downstairs beds were frigid cold and there is something wrong with the heating / AC. There is a preset timer on the heat so even if you try to make it warm, it reverts to the schedule. It would have been nice to have a space heater or something to make it more tolerable.
Parking is sufficient, but if we didn’t have 4 wheel drive the ice would have made the slope a little dangerous. Shuttle system is good but can take some time to request.
The games were mostly missing pieces (even chess) so don’t plan on having anything to actually play with there.
I didn’t think there were quite enough towels for our party. Otherwise everything was very well stocked in terms of paper products, multiple dishwashers and refrigerators, garbage bags, etc.
Price point was very good, and it is a good value with close proximity to slopes. The dining area was large and kids loved sledding!

Great experience from beginning to end. Had 6 family units with kids ranging from infants to teenagers. Overall 12 adults and 10 kids and it didn’t feel cramped. Each family had their own room to retreat too and large common areas comfortably fit everyone. Large refrigerators and well stocked kitchen gear made cooking for the large group easy. Two large washers and dryers kept up with the group clothing needs. Driveway was bigger than most in neighborhood. With a little Tetris, we were able to snugly for 6 vehicles, 2 of them being large trucks. There was just barely enough room left at the driveway entrance to fit a 7th vehicle for visitors. Last note is that the number for the shuttle transportation to the mountain is no longer in service as they have gone to an app based solution. Search Google/Apple App stores for Northstar Village Transit. Highly recommend if your in need of a lodging for a large group.

Positives: House was great design for large groups. With multiple living rooms, people divided into smaller groups for easier discussions. Fed children in the kitchen and adults ate in dining area and everybody fit perfectly. Shuttle was really easy.
Negatives: bbq grill was so dirty we decided not to use it. Maybe because it’s winter it’s not getting maintained? Luckily we didn’t have a car parked in the spot right in front of house as the roof avalanche came down and filled the whole spot.

We’ve stayed here before and will stay here again next year. Annual family reunion (15 of us; grandparents to grandchildren). Lots of bedroom space with many fun activities in various areas inside and in winter, snowplay and skiing outside. Doesn’t get better.

We've stayed at this home for 3 years in a row and love it! It fits a big family with multiple rooms and bathrooms and a large communal area that's great for visiting, playing games.
The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed!
The location is close enough to NorthStar with a reliable shuttle service, ensuring you're not waiting in the massive car line to get on the slopes.
We will definitely be back!

This house had everything our group needed! Excellent location within the Northstar property, easy to get to the Village and slopes. Perfect backyard area to play in the deep snow, well stocked kitchen, and a good home layout. I will definitely consider staying at this home again!

Great house, perfect for families with teens and young adults. We had 2 families totaling 13 people, including 9 teens and young adults. Pool table, darts, ping pong, and access to Northstar gave everyone something they could do. Lots of spaces to relax. The heat was hard to figure out.

Everything as advertised and more! Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Fully stocked and so much to enjoy. Plenty of space for kids to run around and adults to mingle or retreat. We decided as a family to skip gifts and do this instead. On the last day we took a vote. All 18 of us, from 6-60 voted unanimously that this was way better than presents. We’ll be doing something similar next year.

My family had a great Christmas holiday at this home in Tahoe. Location was great and we enjoyed the free shuttle to the north star village to ski, have lunch and enjoy the shops. House was large enough to host our extended family. Would highly recommend.
5.0
Great space for everyone to be together in big groups or have some alone time in their own room. Since it was winter we enjoyed the snow with what ended up being our own private sledding hill out back. Everything was fully stocked and we were generally impressed.
USEFUL INFO TO PLAN WHERE TO SLEEP BEFOREHAND! There are two thermostats; one controls the left side and one the right side of the two story cabin. The people who slept downstairs were COLD and if we adjusted the thermostat to warm them up then the people sleeping upstairs were sweating so put the people who like it cold when they sleep downstairs and vice versa.
3.0
Our friends and family gets together every year at Tahoe and considering the number of rooms and bathrooms this place has, it was good. But we doubt if we will comeback here.
Pros:
1. The house is super close to Northstar and it was really convenient to go back and forth for skiing.
2. Loved the big kitchen and the dining table. Enjoyed all our meals together.
3. The big tv and couch was perfect for kids and adults to watch movies.
4. The snow behind the house was perfect for kids to play with their sleds. Had lots of fun!
5. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and it was right outside the house.
Cons:
1. This place needs some work. There are holes on the wall in multiple rooms. After seeing the first hole, I sent a note to the host letting them know about the hole and indicating that this was there before we came. But the host never responded to my message.
2. There is a jack n jill bathroom upstairs but the lock wasn't working. It was inconvenient for the two families who chose to take the rooms next to the bathroom.
3. The toilet seat in one of the bathrooms was shaky.
4. Felt like the kitchen was less organized and not fully stocked.
5. There is a pool and ping pong table. All the ping pong racquets were either broken or unusable.
6. The carpets and bedsheets had stains.
7. There were no body washes and we had to go buy it from a Safeway.
I feel this place can be a gem of a place if some upgrades were done.

The property was well suited for a large group! There was plenty of space, ample cooking supplies, appliances, great recreational amenities and easy shuttle access to the Northstar village. Steve was an excellent host. From our entire family, Thank you Steve!
