Cosy, beautiful views and comfy location

The property was located out of the way, but very close to Holmfirth. Parking was easy and the views from the property gyou an extra lift every morning. It is well insulated, as I traveled with the storms recently, the heating didn't need to be turned up high.

Great week away with friends made easier by a comfortable place to stay.

Very comfortable, clean, warm and quiet. Very good pub at end of the lane and good walks nearby. Great views too and handy farm shop with delicious Longley Farm yogurt for sale.

Great little cottage 👍

Interesting location, great pub literally on the doorstep. Easy to access and everything you'd need for a short stay.

Pillows were uncomfortable, that was it really.

We had a very enjoyable stay in West Yorkshire , the cottage was immaculate .

Very clean , great location

TV channels limited and no hot water for one morning although it was sorted out for us quickly . ( Thanks Jenny 👍)

semi rural and you need a car

Positives: home from home, great kitchen and bathroom with a bath. Log burner. nice views. not too far from Holmfirth and surrounding areas.

Negatives: stairs very steep . Poor wi-fi connection. no freeview t.v. you need to park your car away from the property and carry belongings down a narrow path to the cottage. only one door in the property which to me is a bit of a concern - fire risk. windows all of which were locked.

Lovely stay near Holmfirth

A lovely cottage in a great location

A lovely cottage with all you could need. Beautiful countryside on the doorstep. Really good to have a pub at the end of the road, and a good fram shop just down the lane.

Most relaxing and enjoyable

The fresh eggs and milk was most welcome. The nice touch of biscuits and a box of chocolates were a real surprise to have later with a hot cup off tea.

I can't think of anything not to like.

A lovely terraced cottage that has bags of character

This is a lovely terraced cottage that has bags of character. Having a parking space is such a bonus, especially if you know what Holmfirth can be like (lots of cars, not enough spaces). We found the house to be absolutely immaculate and it was a real pleasure to use the wood burner in the living room. Kitchen space was great and allowed us, a family of four, to sit down together and eat our meals face to face which made for a very sociable space.

There was very little that I could honestly say that we did not like. In fact we liked everything about this cottage and want to return, however just to be exceptionally picky, and this is in my view, is very minor, would be having a dishwasher and this is because I am simply used to flinging everything in to the machine and have developed lazy habits! Like I said, this is very minor and not a deal breaker. Excellent, charming cottage which is a credit to the hosts.

Great base to explore

The cottage was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Located in a lovely village with great pub 2 minutes walk from the cottage. We felt really welcomed and relaxed. It’s a great base to explore Peak District
