The cabana is an island of calm, with a lovely house and a pool on the private grounds. Lujan de Cujo is south of Mendoza, right in the middle of wine country and we eagerly looked forward to the bike winery tour we had booked. Unfortunately, the Covid 19 outbreak happened and right after we arrived tours were shut down so we were not able to go to any of the wineries. Gabriela, our host, is also a guide, and she stepped in and took us to the mountains west of Lujan de Cujo and then to Mendoza for a walk in Parque San Martin (appropriate outdoor activities) and for a brief driving tour of Mendoza. While it was a huge disappointment that we could not go to wineries, she provided a wonderful experience by personally taking us around, and we cannot thank her enough.
The property is off the beaten path, which is part of its charm; but in retrospect we would recommend a rental car as a better option than relying on cabs as we did. Fortunately, we were saved by Gabriela!
