About this house rental
Nestled in Highlands, this charming house for $475 per night is a great choice for your next trip. House is located in a private family run compound. This luxury 3br/2bath, spacious cottage has spectacular water views from every room. The master bedroom has a private deck to enjoy with views across the river to Gateway National Park and Sandy Hook Bay. The unit has hardwood floors, furnished with a queen-sized beds. The kitchen is brand new with custom cabinets, new microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator icemaker. The Living room has a sofa sleeper and the Dining room can accommodate 10 people, with 3 additional counter seats in kitchen. Backyard is the Shrewsbury River with fishing off our private dock. Walking distance to local park, beach, museum, restuarant, and nightlife.

Host was very responsive. House was equipped with essential items.
I would recommend cleaning bedroom carpets, replacing the metal mini blinds, replacing living room couch & replacing front door handle (lock gets stuck). We did have to park on the street a few times as there weren’t any spots left in the two parking lots.

I’ve never stayed in a rental property where the reality exceeded the photos. This is the first one. We really enjoyed our weekend at the shore. So close to Sandy Hook we could ride our bikes over the bridge and down to the shore.

This property is stunning, and the price is truly reasonable given the lovely decore, the three bedrooms and bathrooms, multiple decks and OH, the views!!! The property manager is so very accommodating and helpful!

Everything about this property is amazing. Great location and very clean. A lot of windows with views of the water from all angles. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was very nice and clean. Everything worked. They have a full working kitchen so no need to bring anything. AC's worked great (summer visit). Great open area for family with beautiful sunrise views. Parking was plentiful and private off the streets. Sitting on the back deck is very relaxing. They allow dogs which was great for us. Most other tenants picked up after their dogs so yard was clean (there is always one that ignores the rules, but leaving a note helps them get with the program). I highly recommend this property.

The house came with a season pass to the Sandy Hook Beach which we enjoyed several times. We will definitely return next summer !

If you are looking for a pleasant getaway this is the right location for you. The calming effect of the water, quiet surroundings and nice neighborhood made our stay very enjoyable. The entire process from start to finish was very easy. The host was wonderful, kept in touch with us and was easily accessible. I would gladly do this again. You will not regret this choice!

What a great location! Not even a five minute drive to the beach, within walking distance to restaurants and ice cream, view from the house was amazing and the sunrise view from the master bedroom was breath taking each morning! We will definitely be back in the future! Thank you again for a great stay.

We stayed in Highlands to check out nearby Princeton for our son’s college. It was beautiful, well situated, and clean. Perfect distance to the beach or New York. Quaint town with many great restaurants and items of interest. The house was great and perfect for seven. The owners were wonderful to work with.

Owners made everything quick and easy, very responsive, and the house was in great condition. We’ve stayed in a lot of short term rentals and I will say the quality of the pots and pans were the best we have encountered. Property is walkable to ice cream, restaurants, and for people with littles, a playground.

Great location & Awesome Water View
This is our second stay at this house and both times were great stays. We found the home to be cozy, clean and well stocked. The location was great for quick access to Sandy Hook Beach and Sea Bright. The home owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to our requests. We would stay here again if every in the area again.
