Nestled in Elizabethton, this attractive cabin for $425 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The property featured is a newly built 3,000 sq. ft. "upscale rustic" lodge. The lodge is located at the headwaters of the trophy trout section on the beautiful Watauga River. The lodge was built using mostly reclaimed wood from local tobacco barns. From the barn wood kitchen cabinets, to the tobacco flooring and siding, this lodge is truly unique. Even though the lodge was completed in 2015, it looks as though it has been there for a hundred years. From using a whiskey barrel to hold a faucet to rusty metal ceilings, this lodge is truly one of a kind. The lodge is equipped with all modern appliances and a fully equipped kitchen. Hand made barn wood cabinets and granite counter tops makes this kitchen an inviting place to cook and enjoy family time. Relax on our Back Deck: A guest favorite…our back deck is the place to enjoy the great outdoors while watching the river go by. You might even see someone catching a fish! Featuring a stone wood burning fireplace, an outdoor kitchen area, and teak furniture & rocking chairs – this relaxed setting is the perfect place to unwind. This section of the Watauga River is a fisherman's paradise! You can walk off the large covered back porch down to a wadable river to fish, kayak, or watch wildlife. Located on a country road, you would think you are a long way from civilization, but travel four miles down the road and you can pick up anything you need. The lodge is fully equipped with linens and all household items. All you need to bring is personal items and food. The river was a glorious backdrop to this clean, fully-stocked retreat with massive covered porch and firewood in abundance. An ideal setup for two couples and four kids (including a mother-in-law suite perfect for teens) with space for more. The owners/managers were extremely welcoming and helpful. If staying the weekend, do yourself a favor by indulging at The Farmer's Daughter restaurant. Overall, a great stay. We left TN with full hearts and full bellies.

We’ve stayed here multiple times as a group. It has always been a great place to stay. We had to cancel this trip last minute due to a family emergency. The owners were very gracious to work out rescheduling/refunding the trip.

Wonderful family stay at the Cedar Cabin. Definitely more than a cabin. Well equipped and great location. Perfect for 8 adults and 2 children. If you have the whole house (4 BRs) remember the 4th bedroom is not connected to the main house. Not a problem for us and our weather was great.

The pictures do not do this home justice…..it is far more beautiful! The love and care put into this property shows! All of the little things add up to a slice of Heaven. Sitting on the porch and watching someone catch a brown trout right in front of you…. The sound of the water… the uniqueness of the reclaimed wood and history… even the table legs from the original house porch… the old pictures… all of it adds up to a beautiful and LOVED home! Staying here eliminated stress and was refreshing! The house was clean and the kitchen had EVERYTHING you could possibly need. The beds were very comfy! HIGHLY recommend this piece of Heaven! The Hosts were easy to work with and even helped me with a problem with VRBO. Get a group of friends together and go stay! You will truly relax and enjoy this cabin! MUST do it!

Our family gathers every other year for a family reunion and this was everyone’s favorite so far by far! We had 32 people at one point. The accommodations are perfect. Kids and dogs can run free and there are plenty of places to gather together as a group or to get alone for some quiet time. We enjoyed playing games, reading, rafting, hiking, and exploring Johnson City. Remote yet easily accessible to restaurants and grocery stores. We attended the blue plum festival in Johnson City, which was a big hit. We will definitely be coming back!

We were in town for a family graduation. The location of this cabin was great - close enough to town, but far enough away to relax. It was super clean and there were lots of amenities that made it comfortable. We enjoyed the ring/hook game on the back porch - great for our competitive family!!! We had a couple of (very) minor issues and the property manager was over and had them fixed within a few minutes. It was a great experience and we hope to be able to return in the summer!

We always enjoy our stays at Watauga River Cabins. This was our first stay in Cedar Cabin, and we hope to make it an annual visit for our family. There was room for all 7 of us, and we were all very comfortable. We were able to have meals there and relax. It's always nice to get away and hear the sounds of the river and the birds in the mornings. Everything you need is provided, and the cabin is very clean. Do not hesitate to book with them.

Patty and Gary are blessed with the opportunity to share with their guests an incredible stretch of property nestled on a hillside overlooking the mighty Watauga River. The cabin was extremely cozy and rustic and provided any amenities we may have needed. We naturally transitioned from the porch for morning coffee to the riverside for fishing and hanging out then back up for grilling and the well-appointed firepit for nightly camaraderie. My friends and I immediately started talking about coming back as a yearly getaway and excuse to see each other. Book this property quickly as it is in high demand!

We spent several days at the cabin with our sons and had a wonderful time. Great location to float the lower section of the Watauga. Half way between the put in and take out. Easy to get to Johnson City for dinner out each night as well. We'll be back for sure.

This was our second time staying at the cedar cabin and it probably won't be the last. This is a unique cabin with great views and plenty of space to relax. The cabin had everything we needed and the check in/check out was simple.

We had an amazing stay at Watauga River Cabins. The cabin was clean and well appointed and we love the location - I even caught a 20-inch brown trout in the river right in front of the cabin! Can't recommend this cabin enough!

I highly recommend this cabin if you are looking for a great place to stay with family or friends. It is very spacious with plenty of room and everything you need at your fingertips! We stayed the week of Christmas and it was beautifully decorated! Although it was very cold due to a storm- we had a great time and look forward to returning in the summer to enjoy the river! The hot tub was amazing as was the bonus living area downstairs! I can’t say enough about the place- don’t hesitate! Book it today.

One of the most beautiful cabins we have ever stayed in. Hot tub was awesome by the fireplace on the deck overlooking the River. Plenty of room for our 2 large dogs. House stocked with everything needed. Design and layout is stunning! Already have 2 friends asking for info on renting after hearing about our stay & seeing pics. It was the relaxing get away we needed. Thank you for sharing this beautiful cabin!

This was our second visit to this cabin and we plan to come back again! The whole family from age 12 to 85 loves it. It’s so beautiful and relaxing with plenty of entertainment for young ones. We LOVE LOVE LOVE the large covered porch. We spend most of our time out there cooking, visiting, playing corn hole, sitting by the fire, relaxing in the jacuzzi, and enjoying nature.

This cabin was perfect for my annual guy’s fishing weekend. We can’t wait to stay here again. They had everything we need and we loved the back porch and fire pit area. We also pulled a few great fish from right behind the house. Great stay!

This property is definitely a treasurer with a high quality cabin, amenities, and waterfront cabin and deck! Everyone should be excited to stay at this property. Everything is seriously great about it, well stocked, and a beautiful place. However, our only downside was not being aware the property was going to be shared with so many others. That might have been missed on our end when booking, but please be aware you do not want to go here if you do not want to be around others. The cabin is private, but the property is not. We were there for a friends weekend and wanted to have fun, but we wound up being too loud and got a noise complaint. However, that's a testament to how awesome the property is with the deck, hot tub etc.

House was very well equipped with lots of personality. The back porch is awesome. Enjoyed hot tub, fireplace, and fire pit. A side note; the river is bottom fed from Lake Watauga; in other words, she is COLD. Johnson City is nearby and does have a downtown area that is nice although most of the surrounding area is just OK.
