In addition you will see the ships travel in the Gulf and the barges on the Inter-coastal canal. The owner of the property communicates amazingly. New floors were being laid down and due to christmas the workers didnt get the baseboard finished. She offered me her other property, which i actually preferred. We had an amazing time! The whole penninsula has a serious mosquito issue but we had no issues once up on the deck.

Good location down the beach away from main crowds. Too many mosquitoes but it has been a mild winter. House was clean & orderly. Main deck needs a couple minor repairs, mainly cosmetic so far. Host responsiveness was on-point. Check-in and check-out process very smooth. Not a fan of the Roku TV, myself. Overall very good stay...

Accurate description by host. House is less than 1/2 lot from dunes so you are about as close to the beach as you can get. Great views of the sunrise and surf. Large deck. We stayed in late October - it was really quiet in the general area on the weekend, and even more quiet during the week. Interior is updated, bed was comfortable. Furniture was comfortable (we find this to not be a common thing). Would be great for a large family or two families.

Probably the best property we’ve visited on the Texas coast in a long time, The home was very clean and well maintained, the deck was huge and beach access couldn’t have been better. The owner book of suggestions and menus was very helpful as this was our first visit to The Bolivar peninsula.

We can’t say enough about how great our September beach stay was this year. We have rented several Crystal Beach houses over the years but never rented one that we said we will rent this one again next year. The Pelican Bay house is a perfect location for those that want a more laid back beach area. You’re out of ‘the zoo’ and on weekdays we had our own private beach. We love cooking and grilling at the beach and the kitchen was perfect for us. Margene was great to communicate with prior to our stay and her info notebook answered any questions we had during our stay. Relaxing and laid back area made it a perfect beach vacay. Thanks for sharing your lovely beach home!! 💕

The location of the beach house was great and the layout of the house was really good. Enjoyed walking the beach looking for sea shells, watching the sunsets from the balcony, fishing and spending time with daughter, granddaughter, grandson and great grandchildren. A memorable occasion.

We booked at last minute to be in the area to chaperone our son & 4 of his friends after prom. My 13 year old brought a friend with him. The location was perfect. The seniors could walk to their friends’ beach houses & I felt they were in a safe area so did not have to worry. They all had a great time during the day playing soccer on the beach & building a campfire in the evening. I could keep an eye on everything from the gorgeous deck without having to hover around them. There is an unobstructed view to a large portion of the beach from the deck with easy access right at the edge of the lot. The view at night when a storm came through was spectacular as we sat under the covered part of the deck enjoying the lightning show. The number of beds was great and very comfortable! Plenty of space for everyone to sleep and a relief to not have to bring linens like some of the other beach houses in the area. Everything was very clean and basic supplies were provided to help us keep it that way. We grilled out one night and you will definitely want to bring tin foil to put over the grill. We lined the bottom of it with tinfoil, as well, before putting coals down and this made for fast & easy cleanup. Margene was quick to respond to my questions as I would come up with something while packing. And, when my husband left his wallet, the housekeeping staff contacted Margene and secured it. Two nights was not enough for this fabulous beach house. We cannot wait to visit again!

This beach house has a beautiful gulf view. The wrap around deck is large. We stayed the first week of November 2022. We enjoyed warm days and cool nights. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the house was very clean. We will definitely book this one again.

Margene made everything so easy from check in to check out. She responded quickly to any questions I had before and during our stay. The home itself is everything advertised and more. The King bed was very comfortable and the linens were nice quality. Kitchen was fully stocked with necessary dishes and cookware. All appliances worked very well. Please note that when you are told to spray for mosquitos you need to double down and do it pronto. We have mosquitos where I live but these beach mosquitos are vicious and travel in huge packs. Once we sprayed though we could walk outside in peace. Access to the beach is maybe 200’ walk and during the week we practically had the beach to ourselves. The deck was much larger than I expected from the photos and it was lovely to enjoy the ocean breeze and sounds while relaxing on the deck chairs. This was one of the most relaxing vacations ever.
