'Singing Sands' in Arch Cape, OR, Six Miles South of Cannon Beach
Prepare to have a wonderfully relaxing vacation in this charming, ocean-front home located in Arch Cape, Oregon. Just a few miles south of Cannon Beach, this home is aptly called “Singing Sands.” A few steps from a delightfully unpopulated beach, sleep restfully with the sounds of the ocean. Explore tide pools at low tide, and enjoy fabulous sunsets while sitting on the patio overlooking the ocean (propane BBQ included).
'Singing Sands' sleeps six. A single bedroom is located on the first floor with two twin beds and a bathroom with a handicap-accessible shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and another with twin beds. This bathroom has a tub/shower. Each bedroom has a view of the ocean.
The living room has a wood-burning fireplace (wood is provided), and the fully equipped kitchen was recently remodeled. Both rooms have ocean views. 'Singing Sands' also offers cable TV, free Wi Fi, a Blu-Ray DVD player, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, a one-car garage, a supply of bedding and towels, and a well-landscaped yard.
The location of “Singing Sands” is ideal for family entertainment, with Cannon Beach, Seaside, and the charming town of Manzanita within easy driving distance. The house was very old fashioned in decor etc, which I loved. And I loved the history of the place and appreciated the history the owner shared. I imagine some folks would not like the old timey feel of the place, and due to all the "antique" breakable things doesn't seem like a good place for young children, but plenty of other places they can rent.Beach view was great and we spent most of our inside time sitting on the couch looking out at the view while visiting. We did wish there were some comfortable chairs in that spot to relax in. Also loved the outdoor bench watching evening sunsets etc..I hope I can find a time to return someday!

Been coming to Singing Sands for over a decade. It is my favorite place on the Northern Oregon Coast. It’s always clean, comfortable and oh so peaceful. A truly special place.

The property location is stunning. It is an older home that has wonderful character, but the furnishings are so old that they are really uncomfortable. The sofas are original mid-century as well as the wall to wall carpeting, which needed a good cleaning. The living room chairs are decades old and sag when you sit down. Such a shame. We have stayed here many times, but on this visit there just wasn’t a comfortable place to sit and read or watch television. There were also mouse droppings in the kitchen cupboards. It is a shame that a house with such a spectacular setting is not being updated.
