Was quit surprised on the location up on a hill, a little hard to locate at first. Very quite location, nice yard. the home was very clean. Had all the cooking essentials that you ever needed. Beds were very conformable & clean linen. One draw back was the the TV. It only had 5 Stations. And we could not connect our smart phones to the TV. It was not a Smart TV.. So we went without. The girls were a little put out. But they had to deal with it. Its vacation time. would go back again. Over all rating 9 out of 10. Owner was very helpful regarding the TV situation and was willing to help out to her best.to make it better for our stay. Thanks Lennor

Great property. Easy to drive to all of our destinations with Custer as our base. Home was comfortable with a quiet neighborhood.

The property is ideally situated being within walking distance of the town and an easy drive to the attractions in the area. The garden area is lovely and we were fortunate to see deer and turkeys wandering about. The kitchen is quite basic and in our view in need of an update. A number of previous reviews have mentioned how a dishwasher, washer/ dryer would be beneficial especially when people are staying for a longer duration. We would be inclined to agree. As the property is listed as accommodating up to seven people we feel that there needs to be more storage for clothing. More clothes hangers are definitely required. We lived out of suitcases for a week. Although the property was lacking in certain areas we did not let this deter us from having a wonderful time in the Blackhills. After all the house is purely a base. The adventures, outside of it, are the most important to us!

The house was very clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed the deer and turkeys outside our windows throughout the day and evening. The beds were comfortable. The only downfall to this house was that the air conditioning is not adequate for the 90 degree temps. Sleeping at night was a bit uncomfortable in the upstairs, but even when the doors were left shut as suggested by the owners. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and I would recommend this house.

We really enjoyed the location of the house. It’s close enough to Custer to walk into town and was very quiet. The accommodations were tidy. The host was responsive to questions. Laundry, a dishwasher and a few more kitchen items would be helpful additions for those who plan to stay for longer periods and who plan to cook a lot.

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect spot in Custer, and was just 15-20 min away from most places we visited, CSP, Wind Cave, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, etc. We did take a day and travel to Devils Tower which was around 2 hours away, stopped at Spearfish canyon and Deadwood on way back. It was close enough in town to walk to the little shops, and just a 2 minute drive to the laundry mat. Kitchen had all the necessary items we needed. If you enjoy watching wildlife, here is the place to stay-- we seen several deer, and even turkey on our last day there.

The house was great! The check in easy! GPS did take us directly to the home. Easy to find, lots of activities in the area! Very relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

This place was even better than expected. It had plenty of room, had the rustic feel we were hoping for, was very clean, and was close to everything. This was our first time to South Dakota and we loved it. This home made it even better. The owner was very easy to communicate with and we didn't have ANY problems during the whole stay. I will tell anyone I know to stay here if they are headed to Custer.

This was the perfect launching point for our family visit to the Southern Black Hills. Nestled away in the heart of Custer, everything we wanted to visit was within a 30 min drive. We also could easily walk to the main drag in town within minutes. The property itself was as advertised. Everything we needed for our stay.

Property was as advertised. Great location to downtown - easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Offered a great jumping off point for exploring in the black hills. We loved watching the deer out back in the evenings. Everything was very clean and well laid out.

The house was spacious and clean and offered everything we needed for our family of 5. Being located just outside of Custer State Park it was a quick and easy drive to Sylvan lake and numerous hiking trails. Lenorr was easily reachable and responded quickly to my messages. The propert was really nice and clean. Pictures were a bit off putting as we thought the area was more secluded but other then that it was a great place, And we were glad to have found something under 220.00 dollars a night.Deer were definitely amazing and the turkeys made us laugh. Would definitely consider coming back.

This house fit our needs good. It was in a quiet neighborhood with wildlife to enjoy! The location was ideal for walking to town (a couple of blocks away). We were there during a festival and parking was challenging. The house was not ideal for infants to be able to roam freely due to the stair case, but our party had four adults so we managed just fine.
