Located in Cattaraugus, this lovely chalet for $350 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Relax by the fire in the serene environment of this rustic country home located on 5 acres of private wooded land boasting breathtaking views of the rolling hills of Cattaraugus County. With over 2,700 square feet of living space this chalet is perfectly located just 7 miles from the center of Ellicottville or 8 miles from the slopes and golf courses at Holiday Valley and Holimont Ski Resorts. The Chalet was built in 2007 and has five bedrooms plus a loft. It has a large two story Great Room with a wall of windows and open concept floor plan into the kitchen/dining room with plenty of seating. There are 3 full bathrooms and 6 bedrooms, sleeping up to 18 guests. The outdoor deck is an entertainers’ dream with over 800 square feet of added living space overlooking the tear drop shaped pond. The bright walkout basement is complete with a pool table, large flat screen TV, built in bar with beer fridge, and games nook. At the end of your busy day, have a soak in the covered outdoor hot tub and enjoy the view! This chalet can be enjoyed all year round. The area is famous for its winter activities including skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing and snowmobiling. In summer there is golf, tennis, hiking, and challenging mountain biking in the immediate area. Holiday Valley Resort nearby has added a Sky High Adventure Park and 3 outdoor pools with a water slide. For winter rentals, snow tires and all-wheel or four-wheel drive on your vehicle is highly recommended as there is a steep hill on our street (plowed and sanded regularly). Please note: Friday and Saturday nights must be booked together, thank you.

Heat continued to trip off, we had to manually reset, after the owner had an electrician come to the property, that would have been fine though, but after skiing , we went to use the washer/Dryer in the home , but the dryer was broken . Clothes were soaked till we left the following day. sink backed up continuously.

Great house with a lot of room. It was perfect for our girls’ weekend away. It had plenty of beds to accommodate a large group and it was close to downtown Ellicottville. We will definitely rent this property again!

It was perfect for our group... 13 of us. Some of us enjoyed the main floor playing games at the table. Some hung out in the basement playing pool, Pac-Man, and the piano. Some enjoyed the hot tub! Truly a great place ..very clean, roomy, and comfortable!

This place was even nicer than expected! There was a crib, booster seat and step stool which was very helpful with my small children. There was plenty of space for my family of 19 and the kitchen was stocked to accommodate our early family thanksgiving celebration. Had a fuse blow and the host responded quickly and solved our problem. Everything was great. The family had a blast!

This is a great place to stay. Great flow throughout the house and property. Plenty of places to sleep and hang out. We had 17 people and never once felt cramped. Would definitely recommend!

Overall great location: private, yet easy drive to Ellicottville. Issues with heat. Couple beds were noisey in the rooms with multiple beds. Some cookware needs to be updated (cookie sheet was nearly black). Very obvious low on upgrades, quick flips for staying. Nice fire pit. Hot tub was nice too. Served intended purpose.

We stayed here for our annual girls trip. There were 14 of us and we had plenty of room for everyone. The hot water never ran out! The kitchen is well stocked with dinnerware, pots and pans, and basic grocery supplies. The view from the deck was so pretty with the changing leaves and the fire pit is awesome, with plenty of wood provided. Lots of things to do and see in the area, from zip lines to wine tastings, and plenty of restaurants to enjoy in the nearby town. I would definitely recommend this house to others.

This house was more than we could have imagined. It was spacious and clean. It had so much to offer, even a beautiful view. I would recommend this home to anyone! Would totally stay here again.

We've stayed at this house 2 times now, and will be booking again for our annual ski trip/getaway to Holiday Valley. The house is exactly as described, roomy, comfortable and clean. It is located 10 minute drive from skiing, restaurants, bars and grocery store - it's super convenient. The hosts are always available in case of any questions or concerns. We never had any issues. Looking forward to booking this again!

We had 17 adult women for a long weekend, cousins of different generations. We had a great time. The open concept is perfect for gathering around the table island even living room area to play games and I’ll be able to talk. We were able to enjoy the hot tub, the fire pit the scenery was beautiful, we would definitely go back

We had 3 families sharing the house with kids ranging in ages from 9 to 15. There was plenty of room, lots to do. The kitchen had all the space and things we needed to cook meals. The lower lever was a great space to hang out after skiing all day. We would definitely return.

The property worked very well for our family group . Ages 2-71. Great views and privacy. Convenient location 10-15 minutes from Ellicottville and holiday valley. Only 3 bathrooms and 1 of those was in the master. But didn’t present any real problems for us

Very spacious and well stocked property! Our party consisted of 12 adults for a ski weekend. Lots of room to spread out and lots of amenities! I would highly recommend this property. The owner was very responsive which was an added bonus!

We (8 children, 8 adults) stayed 5 days at the Rooster Den and had a wonderful time! The property was clean, fully stocked with everything we needed and more, and was nice and close (5 min drive) to Holiday Valley and the quaint town of Ellicotville. We would definitely stay again:)

This is my second time renting here for a family weekend We were a group of 7 adults and the house suited our needs perfectly. Enough bedrooms for all and very family friendly if traveling with children. We had one small issue with the water when there but the property manager reached out right away and the issue was fixed in no time at all. Great communication. The house could use a little TLC as it's seen a lot of happy gatherings over the years but there was nothing that took away from our good time. Lots of time in the jacuzzi, many games of pool played and nightly fires at the fire pit. Can't go wrong. Would rent again.
