The main level of the condo, which is accessed via only 8 steps, contains a spacious living room with 32-inch cable TV with DVD Player and VCR, a queen-sized Kingsdown sleeper sofa, a beautiful stone gas log fireplace, and a computer desk with high speed internet access, a completely private deck overlooking the ponds and the forest, a large, fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, a dining room with seating for 10, a full bathroom with granite countertops and a tub/shower combo, a bedroom with 2 pillow-top twin beds and cable TV with DVD Player, and a large master suite with king-sized bed with pillow-top, cable TV, and private full bathroom with granite countertops, double Jacuzzi tub, and separate shower. Downstairs is a large den with another gas fireplace, a foosball game table, a queen-sized Kingsdown sleeper sofa, cable TV with DVD Player and VCR, a half bathroom, and a second large master suite with a king-sized bed with pillow-top, cable TV, and private full bathroom with granite countertops, and double Jacuzzi tub with shower. With upscale fixtures and furnishings throughout the inside of the home and beautiful, perfectly maintained resort grounds on the outside including 2 ponds and 2 streams to enjoy in your own your backyard, you will live in the lap of luxury during your stay in this resort condominium. Enjoy the many recreational activities within walking distance of the condo including tennis, massage therapy, hiking, fishing, paddleboating, playing pool, ping pong, or horseshoes, the newly installed disc golf course, swimming in the heated indoor pool, soaking in the 10-person hot tub or dry sauna, free movie rentals and much more. All the equipment you'll need for on-site activities is available for check-out. If shopping is your favorite form of recreation walk a few blocks or a short drive to Shoppes on the Parkway outlet mall or to the shopping district of downtown Blowing Rock. We hiked, swam, did water sports on the lake, sat by the fire pit, walked to the Blowing Rock Park before the rain. During the rain, we played pickle ball, hiked in and around Blowing Rock, did geocaching, and played board games.
Lots of wonderful family time.

We’ve been to the Chetola property 4-5 times now as we love it’s amenities and proximity to Blowing Rock and this has been our favorite unit. It was huge and comfortably fit my husband, myself, our 8 and 10 year old kids and my mother in law. She had a whole basement level to herself and the kids really enjoyed the game room in the basement. The unit was clean and well equipped and everything was clearly labeled which helps tremendously!! We are already planning a return trip!

Our trip to Blowing Rock, NC was wonderful! We stayed in a beautiful 3 bedroom condo located close to downtown at the Chetola Resort. Our condo was an end unit which was beautifully furnished and very spacious. We had access to all the resort amenities and will definitely stay there again!

I’ve stayed at Chetola many, many times and never had an experience like this one. My family comes to Chetola every year to attend Merlefest and usually find it to be a wonderful place to stay but this time it was very disappointing. Unit 3 at the Berkshires is a nice condo with lots of room but also has several issues. Two days before we arrived we received an email from the rental company, which is Blue Ridge Rentals, telling us that the sliding glass door in the condo was shattered and could not be replaced before we arrived. There was no offer to move us or to compensate us for this inconvenience and we had no time to find another place. Then when we got to the property we found out that the microwave didn’t work and was in pretty bad shape. Also the ice dispenser on the fridge didn’t work and the kitchen floor was sticky and it was obvious that it hadn’t been mopped since the last occupants. The tv in the living room wouldn’t work and one of the sofa beds was also broken. But to top it all off, the last night of our stay, the smoke alarm in our bedroom went off at 1:30 am! Not just chirping because the battery was low but full blown alarm! I can honestly say it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at Chetola and doesn’t make me want to hurry back there. The owners and rental company really need to do a better job at taking care of this property. This unit was not up to Chetola standards.

We were pleasantly surprised to realize this property was the exact same one we rented 4 years ago. The split level plan was ideal. It is very spacious, huge dining room table, and plenty of bathrooms. Chetola is a beautiful place. We found the path leading to Bass Lake which is a must see.
