About this house rental
Situated in Thornton, this charming house for $240 per night is a great choice for your next break. Classic Log Home on 6.5 private, secluded acres. 20 minutes to Loon and Waterville Valley, close to Franconia Notch, 25 minutes to Squam Lake. Gorgeous mountain views, babbling brook, 5 minute walk to 30-foot waterfall. Also, it’s only a 5-minute walk to swimming pond and tennis court. The property borders the White Mountain National Forest. There are two large bedrooms plus a loft. Large country kitchen/living room. Farmer’s porch with hammock. Fireplace in Master Bedroom, wood stove in living room. Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump/ac system, with Toyotomi heater (similar to Monitor) as backup. Fully furnished with a queen-sized bed in the master bedroom (plus a full sized sleeper-sofa), queen-sized bed in the second bedroom, a double bed futon sofa in the loft plus a chaise lounger that converts to a twin sized bed. Two full bathrooms. Full heated basement. Seasonal rentals considered. Pets considered.

Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. Communication was awesome and made everything very easy. The location is absolutely amazing! Its a little piece of secluded paradise. We enjoyed it so much we booked for summer before we even left.

We highly enjoyed our stay at David's Cabin House in Thornton, NH. Our host was gracious, promptly answered any of our questions, and provided useful information about the cabin and insights about the surrounding area. Great place to stay and get away from the rat race. Wood stove, fireplace, full kitchen and comfortable living room overlooking the covered porch and hills and a good night's sleep on the bedroom bed/mattress. Stream running behind the cabin. Highly recommend. Great owner communication.

David's cabin was the perfect place to decompress. The location is wonderful. Afterall, who wouldn't want to be nestled in a valley, in the White Mountains, with quiet and color? David's attention to detail and guidance are amazing. Our week went by much too quickly.

This is a beautiful property. In a wonderful location for hiking and taking in the beauty of White Mountain National Forest. My husband and I along with our three dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would love to return to this rental property again.

Absolutely loved this place! The view from the front porch was amazing! Lovely home, comfy beds, and wow, was it hard to leave the house! Just wanted to stay there! and the waterfall is big and a short walk from the house!

Let me just say wow! If you want a beautiful peaceful get away this is the absolute place to go. David is a amazing host with everything you need. Very clean organized just totally astonishing how beautiful the place and location is. The pictures do not do enough justice. 3 kids 2 dogs what a great week can’t wait to come back. Thank you!!

You cannot find a more peaceful location than this one! Our family loved the pond and being surrounded by the gorgeous scenery. The owner is incredibly helpful. We enjoyed everything about our visit!

The cabin is clean, spacious and cozy. It has all the amenities you need. The property and location is fantastic! We especially loved the waterfall and the pond, our doggies had fun swimming too! We enjoyed reading the books and watching dvds and listening to the cds that were in the cabin. The area is great. We discovered a fun old fashioned arcade and visited Fraconia Notch. We cooked in and just enjoyed our time at the property. I hope to visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The porch was a perfect place to sit and relax to the sound of the stream that runs alongside the property. The ever changing view of the mountains was beautiful as we watched the clouds roll in during some rainy weather. If you plan to take advantage of the well stocked kitchen and make meals at the cabin, grab some groceries ahead of time as it is about a 15-20 drive to the market, which the host informed us of ahead of time. We didn't experience any problems while we were there but the host was quick to respond to a few questions! We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed at this perfect cabin in the valley that was just a little piece of heaven. The cabin is gorgeous, from it’s location to every possible need thought of ahead of time for you. It is a beautiful cabin, set on a beautiful piece of property, with a rushing stream right beside it. The porches are perfect for admiring the mountains. It is simply breathtaking. Inside is gorgeous and well-furnished with every possible need thought of and accommodated. David is very easy to contact & speak with with any questions, although he has thought of everything prior to your arrival. If you never leave the cabin during your stay, you will still enjoy everything about your trip! We can’t wait to return!

What a fantastic stay. The cabin was comfortable and well-equipped. The owner, David, couldn't have been more helpful or responsive. The surrounding valley is green and lush, and the brook behind the cabin was a wonderful soundtrack to my stay. I spent my time reading in the hammock, exploring the nearby waterfall, listening to the birds, and soaking up the peace and quiet. This place was just amazing and I'm looking forward to visiting again as soon as possible.

Great weekend with my family. My boys (14 & 10) and husband couldn’t get enough of the trout ponds and waterfall. The weather was less than ideal but we had plenty to keep us busy. Our pup loved the accommodations also! Clean house, beautiful property and views to die for. My boys asked if we can go back this year. That’s a win in my book. Thank you!!

This cabin served as the perfect weekend getaway with family who were visiting from out of state. It exceeded everyone’s expectations and will be an experience we won’t soon forget. We went for some down time with the family and this cabin was perfect! The wood stove, brook and the views were wonderful. The short hike to the waterfall was worth every minute. It gave us all a little time to regenerate/recharge.

We enjoy coming here every year. There is plenty of space for everyone and a bonus having 2 bathrooms. The cabin is stocked with essentials, making it easy to just head up for the weekend stress free. We enjoy the quietness and the different areas to explore. It never gets old. David is an excellent host. Provides excellent information about the property, easy to talk to and very responsive.

Our whole family, including our two dogs all enjoyed our time here. It is a warm and cozy cabin with beautiful mountain views. There was plenty of space for everyone in the main living area as well as in the sleeping areas. It had everything needed for our ski weekend. The lack of internet was a nice change of pace and allowed us to play some of the assorted games at the cabin with our tween and teen. It is located about 30 minutes from the ski resort in Waterville. David, the host, provided all the information needed and was pleasant and prompt to communicate with. We hope to come back again in the warmer months to explore more of this beautiful property.

If you're looking for a cabin to enjoy nature, this cabin is what you're looking for. It also covers all the basics flawlessly. Clean, spacious, no close neighbors because it's located in 6 acres lot, 30 minute drive to Loon Mountain or Waterville Valley, includes everything you need to have a wonderful time (comfy furniture, fully equip kitchen, nice bathrooms and a wonderful wood stove) and above all a mind-blowing location. We stayed there because we wanted to enjoyed a weekend of winter sports and the cabin delivered. We could do snowshoeing and cross-country skiing right out of the cabin. And we did snow tubing at Waterville valley.
And the view! It is located in a valley surrounded by majestic mountains and small streams. Priceless!

David is an unbelievable host! Excellent communication, quick responses, and very personable to the point I feel like I have made a new friend. The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was so peaceful, and the view was breathtaking. The house has every little thing you could possibly need for your stay. We made good use of the fireplace, woodstove, and all the board games.
