About this apartment rental
This cozy retreat is close to the Smokey Mountain National Park and Gatlinburg. Come up in elevation to escape the heat and crowd of town. Newly decorated studio on ground floor, no carrying luggage up stairs. Corner unit offers additional windows and opportunity to view wildlife. Ideal for couples, solo adventurers and hikers. Beautiful view of the Smokies from the pool area. Included on the grounds for your use are an outdoor heated pool (seasonal, closing approx. Oct. 1st), charcoal and gas grills, 2 outdoor hot tubs, sauna, game room (hot tubs, sauna and game room open year round), coin operated washer and dryer on second floor of building. Nest doorbell, Alexa and multiple USB's. Sorry, no children, pets, smoking/vaping, minimum age 21.

A nice little condo unit at the end of a winding mountain road. Slight hiccup when accessing the unit (code didn't work), but the host answered my call right away so I got in without much hassle. Unit/stay was as advertised. The only drawback was that the fridge is very loud - wouldn't be much of a problem if the kitchen wasn't in the same room as the sleeping area, but if you're a moderately light sleeper it'd be best to bring earplugs. Overall a good value and a good home base for exploring the Smokies.

I have nothing but good things to say about our stay!Kathy was absolutely top-notch with the communication and had plenty of recommendations already printed off and laminated for things to do in the area, as well as directions for all the essentials in the area.The condo itself is fairly basic, and lacks some of the high end luxuries some of the other (much more expensive) options might have. However - this is exactly what we were looking for in our stay. A comfortable and affordable home base to come back to and relax after the activities and sightseeing for the day. This place fit that bill perfectly.We got to enjoy the hot tub one of the evenings (and got my butt kicked in foosball).The sights on the mountain were breathless; the drive up and down was easily one of my favorite parts of our trip.We did have a younger black bear visit the property almost every night of our stay - I aptly named him "Bearnard". He was curious and had left some paw prints and snout spots on the truck in an attempt to look in the window, and somehow managed to set off someone else's car alarm (in search of food I'm sure!)Overall an A experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone searching for a home base for their vacation. It easily hits a home run on the price/value scale and is truly a hidden gem for those looking to get away from the overly shiny and expensive cookie cutter vacation rentals.Crossing my fingers we can come back soon and stay here again!

Kathy is a great host. Check in was easy especially after a long drive from Detroit area. The room is clean and cozy. Perfect for a couple that wants to get away from the fast pace of life. We have stayed here twice in two years and we plan on staying again next year.
