Situated in Clear Lake, this lovely house for $125 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This rustic cabin will give you the feeling that you are in the middle of the woods while having the convenience of being in town. Located just minutes from downtown Clear Lake, the historic Surf Ballroom, and City Beach, this is the perfect get-away spot! A large upper loft makes this a great option for families with kids or a peaceful retreat. Two queen beds, two sofas, and welcomed air mattresses (not provided) make this cabin stay comfortable for 6-8 travelers. *We know that dogs are family members so we are pet friendly, we simply add a $25 pet fee to the total of your stay. Sorry, we cannot allow cats due to family allergies.

We loved this place! We stayed New Year’s Eve and attended a concert at the Surf Ballroom with our older children and their significant others. The property is close enough to walk to the Surf but it was winter so…. Super cozy with a fireplace and everything you need to have a fun family get together including board games, movies, Roku TV, and a rustic checkers game. The loft allowed the teens and young adults to have a “sleepover” and the downstairs bedroom provided the privacy we parents needed. The hosts live next door but gave us the privacy we wanted and we felt we could have contacted them if needed.

This refurbished barn has plenty of room to spread out inside and out. It has everything you need in the kitchen and plenty of comfortable beds and bedding. Very cute and quaint space. Highly recommend.

I travel to Clear lake Every November from Michigan. I brought a friend along this year and I decided to rent a place rather then stay in a motel. I had told the host I would be bring dogs (6 beagles) and portable dog trailer/kennel to keep the dogs in. They had no problems with that. We enjoyed the our stay and also able to catch up with family in the area , as I grew up in Iowa. Before we left all sign of dog droppings were picked up and we tried our best to leave things in the order as we found it. My hope is the host will allow us to use the rental next year,

3 adult women on a girls trip weekend. None of us had been to Clear Lake and didn’t know what to expect. What a friendly small town. It might just be one of the best small towns in America. And what a wonderful place to stay! It’s convenient to everything and yet so quiet and peaceful. The “barn” has been beautifully appointed with comfortable furniture and beds. There is plenty of room to spread out and you have everything you need. I’d give it a 10. I’d definitely stay there again.

What an awesome place to stay at! It was an accurate description and very clean! A little more Rustic as it was a barn they transformed. A friend and i stayed here for a concert at the Surf Ballroom and wished we could have stayed another night! So mucn fun here. The firepit, games, upstairs area, kitchen, bedroom, etc were all so fun and we loved the decor! We stayed at a more modern place the following night and both said we actually preferred this one, eventhough both were nice. Had such a home vibe to it. Would highly recommend! Only downside was only 1 bathroom but definitely do-able! Fun for families! We may be back again before too long!!!

We were very satisfied with our stay. Despite the low temperatures it was very warm inside. Everything worked and we were very comfortable. Please check the following ....We had to remove logs in fireplace to get some dust out to get it started. The logs were put back in but not in right order. They need to be rearranged properly. There is a protruding nail head upstairs near the back right corner that one could step on and have injury. Just needs to be nailed flush with floor. We could not have found a better more convenient property for our weekend stay at Clear Lake .You have really done well keeping it well furnished yet spacious open and spacious.

This place was in a great location for me to access plenty of public hunting land for pheasant. The house is really cool and very comfortable. It had way more space than I needed, but I had originally planned on meeting family there and they had to bale out at the last minute. I will certainly stay at this place again.

This property had everything we needed. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans and all the cooking utensils to make great meals. The mattress were very comfortable as well. The rooms had plenty of comfortable seating to hang out. We brought our dogs and the barn layout was perfect for them to feel at home. We loved the Dutch door in the lower bedroom as well.

We were on our way to see more family and sure enjoyed all there was to be had. We love being outdoors, so we had a fire immediately after checkin, shared dinner and then, spent the rest of our evening out under the stars. There were enough beds for each of us. We had such a nice relaxing stay. I recommend wholeheartedly.

This is an awesome, very comfortable and large 2 story building that once served as a barn. Amazingly clean with plenty of privacy surrounded by oak trees. You’ll see chickens and maybe even a deer or two on the property - owners house is 50 yards away if anything more is required for your stay.

Dog friendly, kid friendly...you bet! Clean open floor plan with plenty of comfy beds, couches, a newly remodeled bathroom and cozy gas fireplace very close to everything to do on the lake and downtown. Excellent communication with hosts, easy check in and everything you need for making meals at home for your brood. Pictures on the site don't do it justice. Really cute, unique and family friendly place. Toys, games, puzzles, TV, fuzzy blankets for your use. Great outdoor space to exercise your fur baby and a nice fire ring out front as well. Would definitely stay again and would recommed to others. Thanks for sharing your lovely place with us for this years' Color The Wind.....we had a blast and made great family memories at "the barn". My wife, daughter, son and myself had to travel to Clear Lake for the funeral of a family member. We opted for the Moose Haus Lodge instead of separate motel rooms. It was a wonderful experience. The accommodations were warm, friendly and relaxing. I would stay there again.

The renter is a very nice woman and the place is exactly as advertised. It’s a little confusing know which driveway to go in because there are two. The renter did not mind that I went into the main driveway, however, what’s hard to detect with the snow is how steep the driveway ditch actually is. Upon my departure, I ended up getting my car stuck and had to pay $170 to get it towed… this isn’t the fault of the renter, but the fault of mine, just let this serve as a warning. Trust me, it happened fast and before I knew it I was stuck in the ditch of the driveway. Ultimately, rent this place for a few nights, it’s a great spot! I would recommend you arrive during the day and go in the second driveway which is right outside of the barn in which you’re staying.
