This place is amazing, spacious, homey. We stayed for 5 days. Perfect for us! Communication with Colin was great. Pool area was so relaxing. Loved drinking coffee on the lanai by the pool. With the pool waterfall, the noise put me in a deep relaxing state! Will need a car if you want to go to town. We took a taxi for 70-80 pesos or the Tuk-Tuk type taxis (40$ pesos) to the center of town. Rented a car for a couple of days too. Very safe and local neighborhood. We walked to some restaurants as well. We will definitely be back to Casa Sunshine!

We had a great 8 days on Coz. Check in process is streamlined and easy. House is in great shape and VERY well stocked in not only the kitchen but in the bathrooms as well. Very comfortable. Hot water tank is small at 10 gallons so gotta take quick showers. Thats the only negative I found. Great house, good price, we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed staying at this property while doing a week of scuba diving in Cozumel. We rented a car, and found the location to be pretty centrally located between the harbor, downtown, grocery stores, etc. And when one member of our group had to spend the night in the hyperbaric chamber (!) we were only 4 mins from the best hospital- Costamed. The house was very comfortable, and we were able to cook meals in the well supplied kitchen. The back yard was a delight, and we enjoyed evening margaritas accompanied by geckos. Note that the house next door shares the backyard, but the host assured us that nobody would be there during our stay, and we had complete privacy. The scuba gear rinse area came in handy. A dunk tank (like a large plastic tote) would make it even better. We really appreciated that the house had enough TP and paper towels for our one week stay. Overall, a great experience- I highly recommend.

This place was so inviting, clean and comfortable. The pool/porch area was nicer than it appeared. I loved waking up every morning to the waterfall cascade. The location was great for us as it was a little bit away from the big commercial hotels but only a few dollars away from it via cab. The area was near a grocery store so we could stock up on snacks and drinks. There were many nice little restaurants within walking distance. The communication with the host prior to the stay, the days leading up to and during were easy, informative and prompt. I can not say enough to explain what a wonderful experience/place the home was as well as Cozumel!

From the moment we entered the property, we couldn't believe how perfect it was! Colin has truly anticipated everything a visitor could want and communication with him was a pleasure. Comfortable beds, great shower, fluffy towels, filtered water, handy appliances, a cooler for the boat/beach, and more. The welcome book was extremely helpful too. We can't WAIT to go back! A great vacation rental home, in a neighborhood that gives you a feel for life in Cozumel away from the tourist areas. We felt secure and safe. Having a rental car made it easy to reach the attractions, shopping and dining; you quickly adapt to the traffic patterns and the scooters and motorbikes buzzing around you!

We were very impressed with the house! The house is so beautiful and decorated so nice. We had everything we needed for our 10 day stay, bathrooms had everything even a blow dryer and bar soap. The kitchen also had everything, just like at home.I used the pool every day, it was perfect and the morning water fall was amazing to watch and listen to during coffee.
There is a “go to book” that is so helpful. I wish all places I’ve traveled to had one of these.
The house is very secure! The owner gives you your own personal code before you arrive, with instructions. We felt very safe in this home.
We got to met the owner Colin while we were there, so helpful, and if you send a message he replies within 30 minutes!
We will definitely be staying here again. ❤️

Amazing time in Cozumel!
I have nothing bad to say, this was overall an amazing vacation experience! Colin was very easy to deal with, and has an entire manual with details about the property and suggestions for local food and entertainment. I would definitely stay again.

Great little piece of paradise
We had a great stay at Casa Sunshine. Property was just as pictures reflected. Owner was great to work with and was the most informative owner we have ever had. Was originally concerned about parking our car out front and security but never had an issue. Street was very quiet and residential. We would definitely book again if we decide to visit Cozumel again.

Loved every minute of it! Joni has a beautiful place here and it has been the best experience! The house and property is beautiful and quiet. We walked around the neighborhood at all hours and felt safe. 10/10 would come back!

Lovely place to stay
Stayed at Casa sunshine for 5 weeks and what a delight. We have been going to Coz for the past 7 years and stayed at a VRBO home ie time. I have to say this is the best! Stayed at several beach homes but prefer the town. Yes the house is out of the tourist area, but we like that. It’s quiet and more like being at home. The description and pictures are accurate. The house manager was very good and available if a problem should arrive. We would have reserved for next year, but she already had our dates booked. We will return to Casa Sunshine. Great time and Great property.

The gold standard has been set.
We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Sunshine for 9 days and I must say: the bar/standard was set remarkably high during our visit. The home is very well appointed with everything that a traveler could want; from the washer and dryer to closet space (there were enough hangers for our clothes – even for those that over pack!!!) The grounds are well maintained with lovey orchids and other tropical plants. I would spend my mornings with the lizards and the slugs on the front porch and my evenings in the pool watching the fireflies dance above in the trees. The neighborhood is far enough removed from the main street that it tends to be fairly quiet but, busy enough that you still have the ice cream men on their carts roll through offering their daily flavor. It is amazing how large 1500 sq. feet is when you are on vacation – my next hotel stay is going to be difficult to bear. Make sure to walk around the neighborhood as there are some nice pastry/coffee shops and some awesome street art in the area.
The home is about a 10 minute drive to the main “drag” of Cozumel and as such I would strongly recommend renting a car as taxi fares can add up.

Comfortable home minutes from downtown dining/shopping
We would suggest this house for a couple/(s) looking for some peaceful lounging at a great value. FYI, it is a single property with two separate houses, the main house being the owners. They weren't there for our stay so we were greeted by Teresa, who was very accommodating to our schedule and left us to our own devices, but we never felt neglected as she answered the phone immediately when we called (once for orientation and then checkout). The house was one of the cleanest VRBO's at which we have stayed and fully stocked with all the essentials needed to get by for the week. It's well built, has very effective A/C units and the pictures show the house almost as well as it looks in person. I believe both beds are twins (we only used one of them and found it perfectly comfy). One of the bathrooms had a waterfall shower, but it used up the small hot water tank so quickly that only one of us could take just over a 5 min shower without running to ambient temperature (which is actually what you use most times). The other shower was perfectly acceptable and didn't use the water as quickly so it wasn't a big issue. The pool area was perfect for relaxing with the loungers able to be put in the pool. As for wild life, they have adopted two "wild" kitties and we were told there were two turtles in the back yard (but I think we saw only one of them), however since we were there for the Ironman Cozumel someone wanted to nickname "them" T1 and T2. Mosquitoes were worse than we experienced in previous years on the island, however we thankfully had no problems at the house itself. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would book again.

Casa Sunshine is a beautiful house in San Miguel, Cozumel. It is located in a safe neighborhood and has many amenities to make your stay here very comfortable. I would happily return to Casa Sunshine when revisiting Cozumel.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Sunshine for 9 days in October and absolutely loved this casa!! We can't say enough. Beautiful home, well designed and very clean and comfortable. The pool was amazing and the staff that stopped by were so nice and friendly. Location was good for us as we wanted to explore a different area this trip. Best Carnitas in town,..Carnitas Diaz! A short walk from Casa Sunshine. We had everything we could need here and the taxi service recommended worked out great! Thanks to Joni for a great stay!!!

Excellent vacation home
We totally enjoyed our week at casa sunshine. The location is central and easy to walk to grocery store and bank / atm. Easy taxi ride to or from the house, never paid over $15 for two people one way from wherever we went. Pool was excellent and we particularly enjoyed the hummingbirds at the house. The washer and dryer was a plus along with the grilled chicken take out place one block from the house. Joni helped remedy any minor issues we had and went out of her way to make our stay the best. We will definitely be returning for another stay!!

Beautiful home with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Loved the private pool and inviting interior. Spacious place with plenty of room for a family or two couples traveling together. Me and my wife had the privilege of staying at joni house we have been booking with vrbo for 20 years and jonis was one of the best have coffee in the morning with the waterfall and pool .casa sunshine is located in a perfect spot easy acess to the whole island we felt safe and secure for the month we stayed the place is better then the pictures every thing is there if you cook in .
