About this condo rental
Situated in Eastsound, this lovely condo for $322 per night is a great choice for your next trip. One of the newer and more modern accommodations in the heart of Eastsound, the Captain's Suite has many amenities and does provide minimum and basic accessibility for those having some physical challenges. It is 1,152 square feet and sleeps four people in its two bedrooms, plus an additional two people on a queen size pull out sofa. It has a view of the Eastsound Waterfront Park and East Sound, including Indian Island. It has a bath with a jetted bathtub and shower (in the bathtub). Additionally, there is a drop down chair and stability bar in the bathtub. Both of the bedrooms have a queen size bed. Plus, there is a queen size pull out bed in the living room. The Captain's Suite has a private laundry with separate washer and dryer. It also has satellite television with 250 channels, plus 9 HBO channels. The high definition television set, with a Blu-ray DVD player and Roku, is 55” and is in the living room. A large number of music channels are available via the satellite receiver. Encrypted WiFi Internet and telephone service (3 phones and an answering machine) are available in the Captain's Suite. This suite has a full kitchen with everything a chef needs, including a stove with gas burners and an electric oven. With this array of comfortable amenities, you may not want to leave the condo. We do hope, however, that you will explore beautiful Orcas Island, the Gem of the San Juan Islands. We believe that there isn't a better place to stay while exploring this enchanted island than this beautiful Indian Island Suites vacation rental building in the heart of Eastsound. (San Juan County Vacation Permit Number: PCUP00-13-0002.) Indian Island Suites also has a three bedroom, two bath condo that can sleep 8 people, which is the Admiral's Suite, VRBO no. 596176 (vrbo #596176). The Admiral's Suite welcomed its first visitors on 2014. And, we have a one bedroom, one bath condo that can sleep 4 people, the Lieutenant's Suite, VRBO no. 601242 (vrbo #601242). We loved this unit. It's perfect for a small family or two couples. Ground floor unit was very convenient and only about a block from shops and the water (with views from living room). Was spotless and comfortable as well. Host was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

This condo is very well built, stocked, and maintained. The door lock only works about 50% of the time. Theft is almost unheard of but I literally had someone walk into the unit looking for the "front desk". There is a mechanical room right next to one of the bedrooms that requires earplugs as there is a 24x7 fan and a water heater noise that will kick on in the middle of the night and wake light sleepers. Both would be wonderful improvements to the property.

We had a wonderful, albeit short, stay at Michele’s property. It was clean and as advertised; it’s a wonderful location across the street from a park and steps to town, and Michele is an excellent hostess.
Our group included four adults and three kids ages 0-6; the property was great for our needs and I would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit.

I had to wash them every time we needed a clean towel. Amazing location. Beach was beautiful and pool was fantastic. Went to Dukes twice, food was good. Parking was limited- if you didn’t have a space before 7pm we had to park on street and walk all the way around resort back to room. Kids loved all the cats around. Surprisingly quiet despite lots of kids/families. Perfect walking distance to grocery store and food truck court. Loved Slappy Cakes across the street.

We enjoyed our brief little island getaway. The rental kitchen was wonderfully stocked and we enjoyed cooking in and staying cozy. The location can’t be beat! The bakery was a short stroll down the street - perfect for Sunday morning pastries. The host was very responsive and we had everything we needed. The beautiful park across the street was a bonus!

Across the street from the water, and within 2ish blocks from all of the shops and restaurants. And only 15 minutes from ferry dock as well as 15 minutes from Moran State Park. Would stay here again for sure.

The captain's suite was perfect for our extended weekend trip. The best parts of the condo were the open kitchen and high ceilings. Additionally, the property managers were very responsive and assisted with all our needs.

This is right in downtown Eastsound and walking distance to anything in town. The condo is exactly as advertised. I found the pictures online a little disorienting but from the entry the dining table is off to the left and the kitchen to the right, one bedroom is ahead, second bedroom is just to the right, and the bath is in the hall further to the right leading to the room with the fireplace and windows facing the street. The only downside of the location is that you're in the flightpath of planes landing and taking off with the second being much louder and starting fairly early - it wasn't bad. Every single car on Orcas also drives past but it's not noisy - just makes for a bit of frogger at peak times because the sidewalk disappears on that side of the street. The local contact is very responsive (15 min!) and handled all issues quickly and owner responded as well. We were there on perhaps the hottest days of the year (85F) and it did get hot inside but if you open all the windows in the AM the ocean breeze cools the condo and then you need to shut them all as it warms up outside. We brought Kayaks and were able to cart them across the street and launch from the beach with a short scramble down a few rocks. The beach is swimmable but the water was very green - there's a public pocket beach on the left side of the bay which is better. I've never seen real china in a VRBO! Beds were very comfortable and sleeper is OK for an adult.

The property, unit and location was wonderful. The huge disappointed was the wheelchair accessibility. I reserved the Captains Suite over a year ago because it said wheelchair accessibility which is what I needed for my elderly mom. Unfortunately the only accessibility was the bathroom. The beds are almost three feet high, which there was no way my mom could get up there. Connie was wonderful and removed the box-spring and just had the mattress so my Mom could sleep on it(the fold out bed bed in the living room was not an option as I laid on it and it was so uncomfortable). The table and chairs are bar height, so we had to have all our meals on the couch.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The one thing is that the beds are very, very tall. There was a stool in one bedroom but we had 3 short people staying and it would have been helpful to have at least one stool in each room

Fantastic stay!
We loved staying at this property. Beautiful view out of the living room! The location was great. It was a quick walk to restaurants and shops, and there was a beach across the street, which was fun to explore.
The unit was very clean and organized. Having extra blankets, pillows and towels was nice. The laundry was convenient and easy to use, and I appreciated that there was detergent available for us.
I think the only con was that there weren't any darkening shades in the living room. Our son slept there and it was bright as day when he went to bed. Luckily he's a good sleeper, but something more than a sheer curtain would have been nice.
The owners had great communication and gave very detailed instructions for accessing the unit. They were also super helpful with answering questions regarding making a ferry reservation.
Overall, I highly recommend this unit!

Indian Island Suites are conveniently located within walking distance of the picturesque village of Eastsound, Orcas Island’s commercial hub. This two bedroom property was well equipped, spacious, and very well managed. The property manager Beth was a delight to work with, very attentive and helpful. The property was very clean on arrival. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at Indian Suites last fall and was so happy with the place I returned! The location is pivotal - right in Eastsound and within walking distance of everything! Connie was very attendant to our needs and friendly. Great place and I will return to the one bedroom/loft for the film festival!

Overall the stay was great, we did suffer from a motor sound that runs 24/7 outside one of the bedrooms. Seems like it was in the utility closet outside next to the room. But that was our only complaint.
