Nestled in Chincoteague Island, this lovely house for $105 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Duck's Delight is our home in America's Happiest Seaside Town (2014 Coastal Living)! 4 bedroom (3 queen sized beds and 2 sets of bunkbeds), 2 bath Cape Cod in Chincoteague, VA., home of the Assateague ponies. Small fishing town on the eastern shore of Virginia. Central air, newly updated and fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, seafood equipment, some spices, blender), screened in porch and outside enclosed hot running shower, sleeps 10. Great for 2 families, includes high chair and portacrib. The house is within walking distance of the town. Check out Chincoteague, a real all American town with activities and a pristine protected beach. Flat for great bike riding. And great all year 'round. Beach umbrellas, beach chairs, coolers, barbeque grill, washing machine, dryer and clothesline. Need to bring towels and bed linens. Beach toys provided.

Some small suggestions:
The bathroom blind on the first floor doesn’t close
The kitchen light/fan needs a new battery
The front porch has one light out
Couldn’t find hot to turn off screened porch lights

We very much enjoyed staying at Duck's Delight. It's great that it is such a short walk into town. Just be sure to bring both towels and sheets. I'm used to those being provided, so almost missed that in the listing.

Clean and very functional house! Perfect location for 5 retired bike riders. Walking distance to center of town. Great wrap around couch in living room. Beds were comfortable. The screened in porch was perfect. Wish there was a gas grill but the kitchen was well stocked so meals were easy to prepare. Looking forward to coming back.

A good house with plenty of room. We had 4 stay there and had the extra bunk bed room empty that we could have slept more. About 15 minutes away from the beach. Not the nicest / fanciest house but it was priced right for our stay and I would stay there again. *Note that you have to pay extra for linens, I almost missed that(even though it is mentioned in the listing) and wouldn’t have had any bath towels or sheets. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with and got that taken care of for me.

Comfortable and well equipped
Clean and well stocked cottage, comfortable beds and furniture, screened in porch makes it feel very roomy. Kitchen has up to date appliances, lots of little extras throughout. Beach chairs plentiful and in good shape, no need to bring your own. An absolutely charming playground is about a block and a half away. Owner is responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a place with a beach feel, with beautiful kitchen, a comfortable living room and lovely bedrooms. There is a room right off the kitchen where you can play games, eat and feel like you are outside. It is completely screened in and comfortable. I would love to stay there again if I can find a weekend available. You will definitely enjoy your stay.

A Great Home Away From Home

Cute house close to everything
Cute, comfortable, clean house. It was perfect for our short mother/ daughters getaway. It was close to everything and had all of the things we needed. It's love to come back with my family, but we are big on grilling so not having a grill would be our only drawback.

I will definitely rent this house again when visiting the Island. The accomodations are exceptional. We loved the large sofa we could all fit!! The beds were all comfortable, the kitchen was pretty well stocked with everything we needed. We loved the screened porch. Thank you for taking such good care of your guests!! We will be back!

Awesome house and owners
This house is extremely well-stocked... everything you could possibly need is there! The house is comfortable and homey. Maybe most importantly, the owners are quick to respond and SO nice. When we arrived, there wasn't any hot water. Joe responded to my message within minutes. (Someone had flipped the breaker, which I'd never thought to check. Duh!)
I hope to return to one of Joe's properties soon!

Truly a Delight
We have stayed at Duck's Delight for the past several years and have always had a fabulous experience! The property is extremely well maintained and even nicer than the pictures depict. The location is perfect, within easy walking distance of our favorite place - The Island Creamery. Joe is a wonderful host, always checking to make sure that his guests are satisfied. We highly recommend this property - you won't be disappointed.

This is a great place to stay! So convenient and plenty of room. I can see why it’s booked for the summer. The porch is awesome but we were only there for 1 full day so we didn’t get much time to use it.

Spring break vacation
We throughly enjoyed our week at this lovely home. We brought our grandkids for a spring break vacation and it was so nice to be able to bring our 2 dogs with us. They provide just about everything you need in this home. We will definitely rent this one again!
