About this house rental
Nestled in Surfside Beach, this charming house for $135 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Experience a luxurious fantasy vacation at surfside beach with this fully furnished and beautifully decorated luxurious beach house, which is a “Home Away from Home!” Relax and make your at home in our cozy, comfortable and inviting environment. The house was built on the beach in summer of 2005 and with less than minute walking distance to the beach! Beautiful ocean view from the covered front deck. Since the beginning of 2020, we have done a lots of improvements to this property: New futon and couches added, New beddings (comforters and sheets) added, all pillows are recently replaced. During Pandemic, we also added new vacuum cleaner, floor sweeper/bucket set, so house guests can keep floor clean during their stay. We also have futon and sofa cover pads applied to all furnitures and have them washed after each rental. New cookware sets and 6 qt slow cooker were added to kitchen. The property is only 50 steps away from the beach. It only take you less than a minute to walk through the walking bridge over the beautiful grass medium and wild flowers between the house and the beach. Cross the bridge into Surfside beach and you're in another world - totally relaxing - do as much or as little as you want. Go fishing, kayaking, surfing, or just relax on the beach. Spend quality family time enjoying the laid-back atmosphere. Plan a reunion, or enjoy the fireworks on the 4th of July or New Years. Sand castles and evening bonfires are possibilities. The house is a typical family style home with an open plan lounge-dining area and a spacious kitchen open to the living and dining area. It is equipped with full kitchen, with upscale appliances (fridge, dishwasher, built in microwave and flat top cooking range). The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils; fine dinning ware (plates, bowls, glasses, wine glasses and silverware), coffer maker, bread toaster, sandwich griller, blender, etc. It also has 52' Dish TV in living room, 32' dish TV in master bedroom, 32' LED TV in guest bed room, DVD/VCR, and books for rainy day. The master bedroom is equipped with dish TV and has its own private entrance to the covered front deck with a beautiful gulf view. Free WiFi is provided on site. House is beautifully furnished with futon, rollaway beds stored inside master bedroom closet are usable for added extra sleeping up to 12-14 people. There is a dining counter with bar stool, dining table and chairs, deck chairs. Three nicely decorated bedrooms are furnished with one King-size bed, one queen-size bed and two twin/full bunk beds. Dressers in guest room make yourself feel home for your stay. Every bedroom is furnished with pillows, pillow shams, bed covers, sheets, blankets, and comforters. Bathroom towels, hand towels are provided. Linens are provided free to use, just remember wash them at your departure to leave clean linens for next guest. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE Bathroom towels TO THE BEACH. We do have beach towels on the towel rack by front door. Decorated with quality furnishings and fixtures, this home's beautiful tile floors for the kitchen and living area and two bathrooms. Three bedrooms are with vinyl floor and the master bathroom is furnished with double vanity. The house is conveniently equipped with a hot/cold outdoor shower section for rinsing off the sand before going into the house, beach toys/ chairs are stocked inside laundry basket outside garage, free fro guests to use. 5 in 1 game table is inside kids room. Charcoal grill and picnic table on ground floor convenient for an outdoor BBQ! Walks on the long jetty on the south end of Surfside Beach let you watch the dolphins play! Nearby is Galveston, where you can visit Moody Gardens, historic homes, and there's always great shopping on The Strand. The house is furnished with Direct TV over 200 channels available plus local program and DVR up to 100 hours so you can record your favorite TV show while you have fun on the beach! The place was great! Jennifer was quick to respond with any concerns or questions we had. It is well stocked with all amenities needed plus some. Added perk is it has satellite TV, which you don't find much. The location was great for us, just a quick walk over the bridge to the beach.

The wifi did not work the entire time. She was having them work on it, (there was an issue at the tower, no fault of the homeowner) but once it was supposed to be fixed (the last day there) it went in and out, mostly out for the last day of our stay.
The photos were misleading to me. We have been to Surfside Beach MULTIPLE times, usually staying on the jetty side of the island so this was the first time staying on the public beach. In the photos and the description, it looked like the house was just across a bridge and grassy field from the beach. This is NOT the case. This house is actually to the left of those houses in the pics on the listing and has 3 houses in front of it so while you technically can see the beach from the back deck (between houses and only a small view), you have to be standing in the right spot to see it. It is definitely NOT an unobstructed view of the beach which I thought we were getting from the pics on the listing.
It was a short walk to the beach which we expected, but we were definitely not able to sit on the deck and enjoy the relaxing view of the beach and the ocean.
The grill did not work well. The grate was either not the one for that grill or was broken and sat directly on the coals. Bring your own if you want to cook out.

My family and I had a great time at the beach and made great memories in this house. It was so close to the beach that we could see the tent we set up for the day. The house was clean when we arrived and the amenities/ utilities were totally rad.
The only complaint I heard was that the Wifi I was slow. One of the guests wanted to work for one day, but the Wifi was too slow. But that meant more time for fun!!

Very nice house. Rooms were spacious and sleep many. Our group of 7 were very comfortable. Instructions from owner were very clear. Only problem we had was with the TV, there were no instructions and many remotes. We finally figured it all out. One suggestion would be to include updated pictures of the inside of the beach house, it is a very lovely house and spacious. It was just a short walk to the beach. There was a small grill that we used and it was perfect for us. Make note that the tap water was 'well' water, so bring plenty of water to drink, make coffee and cook with. I recommend this house and am sure you will not be disappointed.

My family of four stays in Surfside three nights out of every month when I visit for work. We have had bad and good experiences. This house is nice, but average. The house was a great price, easy to find, not too many stairs, spacious, and clean. The downfalls were the comfort items - this is where the phrase "you get what you pay for" comes into play. The beds, linens and pillows were not the best quality and the couches (foutons) were sub par. That being said - if I had a large family and wanted to stay at the beach comfortably on a budget, this house would be my jam. Heads up - you're saving $100 on the cleaning fee compared to other bookings, because you're expected to wash, dry, and fold all the linens and towels plus reset the beds before you depart. We'd absolutley here again, just bring our own pillows, and we'd spring for the $50 laundry fee that you can add at the top of the reservation process.

I went here for my bachelor party, and the beach house was better than expected. That doesn't happen to me very often. Great communication, easy check in, just an overall nice place to stay.

The check in and out were very easy. Questions asked were answered promptly via text. The house was in good condition. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us. If the weather had been bad, it would have been easy to spend a few days inside. There were a few small things, but it is nothing that would prevent me from returning. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Struggled when it got dark, in the beginning lights outside weren’t working, had a hard time getting in, lock was jammed, but overall everything got fixed and landlord responded to me but I felt I was bugging her for the faults and I stayed over to make sure it’s clean all in home and around had to make breakfast and got charged 200 for 8 more hrs I know now to not be ocd just wanted to show my appreciation it was already messy under car port.

We really enjoyed this house. It was quiet around us.Only problem we had was with the power. Lights kept dimming down and would go out, then back on. Owner said it was the smart meter but I've never been around one of those
so was not happy with losing power. It affected the microwave, hot water, etc. The house is very roomy and nice beds, etc.

Jennifer's beach home was warm and welcoming. We fit six adults comfortably with room for extras. The entire rental experience was easy the home lived up to it's photos and description. The area was quiet and quaint. We tried out a few local places and none of them disappointed. I fully recommend this affordable and inviting rental to any one with parties of 4 to 8. There are roll-out beds for more. When we come back, we will be trying to get this home again.

The property is very nice and Jennifer was very accommodating. We only had 1 issue and we had a work around. The shower was great. I’ll be back but it won’t be until the mosquitoes have moved. If you have a pet be sure you bring along something to cover them when going outside so they don’t get carried away.

A bit underwhelming
First off, communication with the owner was great. She responded quickly and was friendly. Location is right off the beach with easy private parking, so while the beach itself isn’t private, it was less crowded than other areas.
The house sleeps a lot of people, but there were some issues. One bedroom had two twin over full bunk beds that both squeaked so loudly every time anyone rolled over that they were almost unusable. The master mattress was wrapped in thin plastic that loudly rustled. There were plenty of towels, but they were all very thin and worn out. The kitchen had lots of dishes, but no basic spices (we had to buy pepper and vegetable oil—those kinds of basics have been provided in other vrbos we’ve stayed in).
All in all it was fine, but after the trip it felt way overpriced. We spent well over four Benjamins per night after taxes and fees and it didn’t feel worth that much.
