About this cabin rental
Located in Burnt Flat, this attractive cabin for $500 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Please note that the biggest different with this home and other 'rentals' is that this home is not equipped like a 'rental' but a home. It's fully equipped with everything you can think of. This gorgeous home was custom built in the early 90's and features hand peeled log columns, antique oriental rugs, Ralph Lauren fabrics, stone floors, slate in the bathrooms, and a feeling of home. The owner was a private chef and so the kitchen is fabulous and has every thing you could possibly need to prepare a wonderful dinner. Bon Appetite magazine even did a story in this kitchen! The main floor has a mud room as you enter for all your ski gear. You step up to the cozy living room and walk through to the dining room and into the chef's kitchen. This is next to the family room. Upstairs there are four bedrooms. The master with a king bed and it's own private bathroom and walk in closet. The view from the tub is of the slopes at Solitude and is the same from the bed. There are three more bedrooms, one with a full bed and a twin bed, a second bedroom that has two double beds and also a small set of bunk beds for kids under age 8. The third bedroom is a self contained studio apartment with it's own kitchen! This works well as a second master bedroom due to the size and the private bathroom. There is another hall bath and a half bath on the first floor. The mapping doesn't work for this house. We are located on the main canyon road just down hill from the Silver Fork lodge and one mile down hill from Solitude ski resort. 15 minutes to the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon and three miles down hill from Brighton ski resort. Our altitude is 7500 feet. Please note that pricing is for the first 8 people. Additional costs apply over 8 people of $35 per person per night up to 12. We just got back from a lovely week at this home. The layout was perfect for our family of 9, which included 3 young kids (who loved the games and dress-up chest in the house). Kitchen had everything we needed. Sarah was an amazing host who took great care to make our stay easy and comfortable, especially considering the incredible amounts of snow they've had this year (which required a team of guys to come shovel off the roof and regular driveway clearing). Thank you so much! We hope to come back sometime!

We came here to ski Brighton and Solitude and it did not disappoint. Easy access (though if you get a pow day like we did leave early) and we even did some drop offs. They kept the driveway plowed so getting out early wasn't an issue. House worked well for two families with a nice main kitchen and a small mini apartment. Able to cook there for meals or run to the resorts to eat dinner. Would definitely stay again.

This was a Family ski trip. There were ten of us and this house was super clean and met all our needs. To say the owner was wonderful would be an understatement. She is the BEST. Communication was great. Driveway plowed everyday so it made getting to the slopes so easy. Great snow and a good time was had by all. If we ski Utah again, we would Definately choose this place. Thank you for accommodating our needs.

Proactive and accommodating!
Our host was very proactive and helpful ahead of our stay - offering to assist with groceries and other supplies - and was incredibly accommodating when I had to stay home to nurse a knee injury. She gladly hosted the rest of my party, who raves about the property!

Winter Ski Trip
This house is awesome! Very cozy, clean and spacious. Sarah provides so many amenities and really takes care of her guests. Very close to the ski resorts, we had a wonderful week here.

Cottonwood Ski Trip
We stayed at the Vrbo for a month. It was a good experience, plenty of room. All of us were working remotely and had very few issues with the internet bandwidth. You have to drive or ride the bus to solitude, but can ski home, although it is a long traverse (not ideal for snowboarders). The owner was very attentive, reaching out to see if we had questions/concerns every few days. I would stay here again!

Beautiful Property
Sarah thought of everything! She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and it was! The best place to relax while the skiers enjoyed the nearby slopes! The kitchen was well equipped to feed a large family several meals.

Amazing cabin in the woods
The house was fantastic with plenty of room for larger groups. Very convenient for ski areas and for hiking and sledding. Beautiful setting among the trees. The two wood stoves kept the first floor warm and created a cozy ambiance especially during snowy days. Sarah was an incredible hostess answering all our questions and even decorated the house for Christmas including a tree and stockings hung from the mantel. The house came equipped with sleds, snow shoes helmets and about anything else you needed for outdoor sports. Our family had the best Christmas family reunion we could have hopped for. Would definitely rent from Sarah again.

Nice cabin in a great location
Had a great stay with our adult children in this 4 bedroom cabin. It was well stocked and comfortable. Plenty of room for nine people to spread out and relax for a long weekend. Located minutes from 2 ski resorts with lots to do. Awesome weekend for us!

This is absolutely a must stay location. The convenience to skiing, the amazing accommodations, the fireplaces, are simply outstanding. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to truly enjoy their visit to the area. The owner Sarah makes you feel like family and ensures in every way possible you have a great experience. The House was amazing with all the amenities for a group of folks who want to have a good time and be in the mountains.
The owner was very accommodating and made sure we were happy and comfortable. I would come back time and time again my only regret is that i don't live in this house.

Beauty-Inside and Around!
This mountain house provided a perfect place to gather with family and friends! The kitchen was well-equipped, and there were plenty of linens, beds, and places to relax. Each beautifully-decorated room of the house offered its own comfortable vibe with books and games galore. We especially enjoyed our dinners around the table in the dining room, where we laughed and caught up with our sons and their friends. This house was the place to be after a long day of skiing, and the short distance to Brighton was a bonus! Sarah was available for any questions and helped to be certain our stay was all that we needed it to be. We can't say enough about the house and the surrounding beauty of the canyon.

Perfect place for a family ski vacation.
We stayed for a family ski trip. The house is just minutes from Solitude and Brighton. We love to cook big evening meals. The kitchen was amazing and well stocked. The dining room was charming and cozy.
The layout of the bedrooms is such that each room feels private and quiet.
Sarah was very responsive and accommodating. We try to pick different destinations for our annual family ski trip but we all agreed this one is worth repeating.

Fantastic!
The flexible mountain ski house was awesome! It was large enough to fit two families very comfortably, yet so cozy and warm. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We especially loved visiting near the fireplace after a day of hard skiing! We really had a wonderful week skiing and staying there!! If we ever come back we will definitely stay here again.

Great House! Superb host!
We stayed at this property 3/10-3/14/18. It is very close to Solitude and Brighton. We all preferred Brighton & had a blast skiing there from 9a-9p! Long day, but worth it! Sarah is the perfect host! The fact that she will take the time to go grocery shopping for you, is just unbelievable! The house was great too! There was plenty of room for the 8 of us. You can’t go wrong booking this house!

Great location very nice owner
Just down the road from Silver Fork, 5 mins from Solitude, 15 mins from Brighton. Sarah was great, getting us groceries before we arrived and checking in with us to make sure we were all set.

Great house in a perfect location
We had a group of 10 men for a ski/snowboard trip. The owner was very accommodating and the house was great for the group. We are definitely coming back and staying here on our next trip to Utah!
