Situated in Carson City, this attractive campground/
rv resort for $101 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Revisit the 70's and stay at Grandma's HUMBLE ABODE! The family has held on to the special place that was our beloved Grandparents' home and we have made it available for you to stay in during your visit to historic Carson City and the beautiful surrounding areas. This is a wonderful central location close to Reno, Virginia City, Lake Tahoe, and Truckee. Our home is a large, double-wide mobile home on a large privately owned lot situated on a quiet culdesac of a neighborhood, not a mobile-home park. The home is well maintained with an updated heating and air conditioning system, it's a very clean home with all the appliances and amenities for your comfort and convenience. The yard is very large; you have the ability to close and lock the gate so you can watch your pets run around the fully fenced yard. Our great fenced-in parking area is not only large enough for your RV and boat, plus several vehicle(s), its perfect for multiple Hot Rods! Close and lock the gate for added security. Outdoor security cameras monitor the property for your peace of mind and ours. PLEASE NOTE: Our nightly rate of $99 is for groups of 6 or less people. Groups of 7-10 people are $119 per night (this is just $20 more per night, not $20 per person/per night), and cleaning for holidays, large groups and/or longer stays is charged at a higher rate depending on size of group and length of stay. Our pet rate is $10/night per pet, not a flat $10 for the whole stay. We may negotiate on the pet rate depending on how many pets and the length of stay. Initial booking quotes will be updated to reflect the correct rates as VRBO does not provide for these variables during the initial booking request process. An additional administrative fee will be added after the initial quote to cover payment processing. Any false reporting of numbers of guests and/or pets, will incur the proper rate being retained/charged through the deposit. Our Rental Agreement and Pet Policy Agreement (when applicable), will be emailed as a separate form(s) and must be signed and returned prior to receiving check-in instructions. Late and last minute changes in booking dates may result in an extra charge.

This was the perfect place for four sisters who grew up separately during the 70's. We wanted a place we could share our individual 70's experiences with each other. Everywhere we looked there was something that reminded us of a story, we discovered each other on ancestory.com!

I can't Thank Randee enough for providing such a fun place to stay!! When I travel with the family, I always look for fun and unique themed places to stay. My family and I absolutely loved our stay! Our two teenage boys, 15 and 17, loved the 70's/80's retro theme. The fact that they could kind of experience a little of what my husband and I did as kids, was a neat experience for them. Like watching an 80's movie on VHS on a cabinet style tv. My husband and I felt very comfortable while staying there.

We needed a place to stay for appointments in town, but had no idea what a treat we were getting! It was very affordable, especially considering everything you get for your money. It’s a whole fully furnished house with lots of room! Washer and dryer with free laundry supplies, free coffee and supplies, and all dishes, utensils, and appliances you could possibly need. The pictures just don’t do it justice with how much space there is.
If I had to find one flaw, it would be that a neighbor on the corner has too man cars parked on the street. But I understand Randee doesn’t have any control over that. Also, even with that, this older neighborhood is very quiet and safe and this rental property has so much available space to park, it didn’t affect us at all.
Randee was very sweet and good at communicating with us. She made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
I felt very nostalgic waking into this amazingly clean house with all the harvest gold appliances and retro decor. It felt like being at my grandparents’s house again. We will definitely be staying here again soon!

This was our second visit to this unique property. It’s so fun to be in this 70s, orange and gold shag, super well-maintained place. Everything important, like beds and smart tv’s in the bedrooms are updated. But the ambience is all 70s. The owner and the local manager are both a delight to connect with. 5 stars all the way!

This is a fun rental. Very clean and comfortable. We loved the 70's vibe, it took us back in time! The owner is great, and the communication with her was awesome. The neighborhood was quiet in general (some road noise from the highways, but not bad). We felt safe and secure and comfortable. Very close to main roads for easy access to wherever you wanted to go. It was my birthday weekend and there were sweets, cards, and a happy birthday banner for me upon our arrival! How sweet is that?! Randee was amazing to work with before, during, and after our stay. We had our dog with us and it was great to have a fenced yard to keep her safe and secure. If you think this rental will work for you, I 100% recommend it. We would absolutely stay here again. Loved it.

Besides being an excellent potential video set (see photos), it is also homey and is within 30 min of pretty much anything you could want (Lake Tahoe, Reno, etc). There are also an abundance of options in Carson City (check out the hot springs!).
