About this house rental
Located in Lake Worth, this attractive house for $273 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Located less than 1 mile from the beach, you will have your toes in the sand in a short ten-minute walk. And the heart of downtown with its funky shops, art galleries and sidewalk cafes is just two blocks away. This 1925 Spanish home, located in the highly sought after Parrot Cove coastal neighborhood, retains all of its original architecture including a pecky cypress front entry door, original Dade County pine wood floors, archways transitioning room to room, arched windows, French doors and living areas with 10-foot ceilings. The main house has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room with fireplace, formal dining room and a great Florida room (with pull-out sleeper sofa). The kitchen is generous in size, has an eat-in area and looks onto the pool and Chicago brick patio deck. The heated, salt water pool has a raised spa and is nestled into a lush Florida tropical landscape. Separate from the main house, there is a cabana which can serve as the third bedroom, equipped with a futon that converts into a double bed and its own bathroom. Other amenities include central air conditioning in the main house (wall unit in the cabana), free wireless internet, 2 HDTV's with over 140 channels including HBO, fresh linens and towels, a security alarm system, a gas BBQ grill and a fully fenced in backyard. You will love the European lifestyle that Lake Worth offers its residents. Lake Worth has received one of the best walkability ratings of any town in the United States. Right outside your door are abundant sidewalk cafes, art galleries and specialty shops just waiting for you to explore. Grab your green market bag and head to the Lake Worth Green Market. Or enjoy an afternoon viewing the wildlife from the Snook Island boardwalk. Rent a kayak at the Bryant Park waterfront, or spend the day at the beach where you will find shops, restaurants and a 300' pier where you can fish or just enjoy a leisurely stroll. Please note: This property is in a residential area and the neighbors are very sensitive to noise and partying. This is such a quaint little house! It had all the amenities we needed and more, and it was very comfortable. The location is great--convenient to the beach, food, shopping, and sight-seeing. Appliances and plumbing work great. TV system does not pick up networks for NFL, but my husband survived with it on his phone, lol! So, also, great wi-fi! We would definitely book this property again!
That said, the place could use a little TLC. The poolside door of the cabana does not lock because the deadbolt is not aligned with the slot, so no one could utilize the space as a secure bedroom. The door's exterior doorframe on that side is also detached--either fallen away or been pried away from the siding. Inside, the little half-wall beside the oven is about to fall over, and there were several lightbulbs out. The exterior (especially windows) could use a good powerwash. And some kind of animal (lizard? cat?) kept pooping beside the pool.

It was very close to a Dollar General (walkable) and a few blocks from Publix. The pool and outside area is the best part about this house. There are several iguanas that visit the backyard making for fun entertainment. The beach is less than a mile away with plenty of public parking, a few shops located along the boardwalk and lifeguards were on duty there. We used the pool the majority of the time which they provided pool floats and towels for. There are also 4 bikes that we could have used but it was too hot during our stay for a ride. There are also several Ubers in the area, which we used for the concert. For the price point this is a great place to stay with friends.

The house is located in a quiet, historic section of Lake Worth, within walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants and a short drive to the Lake Worth beach, which has ample parking, bathrooms, and Benny's on the Beach. We enjoyed walking, running, and biking in the neighborhood. There are two public golf courses, one across the street, and a par 3 waterfront course over the causeway.
The back pool area was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. There was plenty of patio furniture to sunbathe, read a book, or have a family meal at the table. The house was also decorated nicely. Overall, this was a very comfortable home in a great location!

This house was exactly as advertised! Clean and cozy with a great backyard/pool area. The beds in the house were comfortable and the TV lounge worked for watching our favorite football team. Backyard cabana was more rustic - but fine for my 20 year old son to have his space. This is not a “fancy” place, but everything’s worked well and it had a nice tropical vibe. Absolutely no issues and we’d rent again. Love the location close to the downtown, but very quiet and peaceful.

This is probably just a function of many people using the property and any house would over time need some maintenance here.

Details such as original wood floors, stone fireplace, separate rooms divided by beautiful archways, and original doors with glass knobs all add to the immense charm of this lovely old home. Coming from a large, historic old city that is primarily made up of brick or stone row homes, I have never had an opportunity to stay in a Spanish style home, and the experience did not disappoint. The warmer climate allows for true indoor-outdoor living, something I have never experienced before. My 17 year old nephew loved having the cabana to himself with his own separate sleeping area and bathroom. My dad and I each had our own bedrooms, and my sister slept on the pull-out couch in the enclosed living room area which she used as her bedroom. Even with all of that there was still the main living room, a dining room, and great kitchen. We were all very comfortable. The heated pool and hot tub were both fabulous as well, and host Chris was highly responsive to questions we had. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again some day in the future! Thank you!!!

The good things were the location and the outdoor area and pool. Although the house had good bones, the inside needed attention. The windows were so dirty that they made the whole place dark. There were no smoke detectors in the home (code violation?) and the electrical outlets in living room were sketchy. Kitchen sink dripped. Mattress in 2nd bedroom was so bowed in the middle that you couldn’t sleep on it. Floors were so dirty that our socks were dark brown after walking indoors all day. There was mold in the A/C outake vent. We had trouble breathing and actually left 3 days early because we couldn’t sleep in that house. A very expensive mistake.
