About this condo rental
Nestled in Kamaole, this lovely condo for $219 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Welcome to ‘Hughes Maui Condo #2’ – third floor unit #307 of Building 10 at the Kamaole Sands Resort. This is a beautifully renovated 1-bedroom condo with 2 full bathrooms and very nice furnishings and local art throughout. In addition to the new King bed in the master bedroom, this unit has two very comfortable Twin Murphy beds in the living room area for additional guests. We were fortunate to have purchased this unit from the Stassinos family in Sept 2021 and also own another 1-bedroom unit in the same building (see listing 495358) in case an additional unit is needed. This unit has a beautiful ocean view from the covered extra-large third-floor lanai and is just 100 yards from the Kamaole 3 beach; one of the best and most beautiful beaches in the world! There you will find great snorkeling, swimming, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, and sunbathing. Building 10 is highly desirable and not only has beautiful views of the inner courtyard, fountains, and ocean, but is *the closest* building to the beautiful Kamaole 3 beach; it is just as close to the beach as it is to the pool! We limit this 1-bedroom condo to a maximum of 2 adults and 2 kids. The condo is a spacious 818 sq. feet (76 sq. meters) not including the 166 sq. foot extra-large lanai. The unit was renovated in 2016 and includes all stainless-steel kitchen appliances, kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, koa laminate flooring, and much more. We also had a split AC system installed in the bedroom and living room in 2023. You'll love our upgraded Master bedroom suite with a new King bed, distinctive Plantation shutters, new flat screen TV, and A/C. We also have a full-size washer/dryer stack. With the recent fiber optic upgrade, you can enjoy free ultra-fast (>300Mbps) wireless internet in the unit and on our extra-large lanai. This Kamaole Sands complex has the rare combination of a great pool, great tennis courts, and a great location. World-class golf awaits you within minutes at the Wailea and Makena golf courses or via a short drive to many other courses including Kapalua Plantation and Kaanapali. World-class surfing is also nearby. This unit is a short walk to several restaurants, bars, and small shops. It is located near the Shops of Wailea and exquisite island dining. I would highly recommend this condo. It was very clean and updated. The owners thought of all the details and we especially appreciated the extra supplies provided since we only came for a few days. The large lanai was great for lounging and we were close to everything - the beaches, shops and restaurants.

Property was immaculate and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend the condo. My wife and I enjoyed spending time on the oversized lanai and taking in the beautiful view. If you are considering the Kamaloe Sands property this particular will not disappoint. I would recommend this unit to anyone considering a stay.

Everything about this condo is top-notch. The location in South Kihei, just across from Kamaole Beach III is super convenient for swimming, body surfing and snorkeling. We experienced turtles swimming by us every single day we spent at the beach. Kamaole III has lifeguards, which is also nice. There’s a beautiful view of the beach and ocean from the large, comfortable lanai. We really enjoyed the lanai for breakfast, sunset watching and a few afternoon naps. The kitchen and living area are very comfortable and well stocked with anything we needed during our stay. Bob and Lindy have thought of everything to make our stay worry-free. There are several good restaurants within walking distance or just a short drive. We will definitely plan to book this condo again in the future.

Maui needs tourism. The many business owners of the island need our dollars in order to survive. But people also need to come with patience, understanding and Aloha. This condo, being in South Kihei, is a perfect place to stay...so easy to get to many wonderful beaches, restaurants and activities. Our hosts, Bob & Lindy, are so kind and communicative. We highly recommend their condo and look forward to returning. Mahalo!

We truly enjoyed our stay and it was due to the relaxing couch and table on the lanai to read, enjoy meals outside and watch the sunset! A relaxing escape from the daily routine. The girls loved the Murphy beds and hanging out on the lanai and pool.

OMG! What can I say, Fabulous, Elegance in Paradise. Beautiful Condo with everything you could ever ask for and more. Soft luxurious king bed, soft sheets plenty of linens towels beach towels, chairs, coolers., and beach umbrellas. Beautiful sunsets at night in the park right across the street with the beach right there. We come to Maui every year and stay at Kamaole Sands since 2008. First time at this condo and when we went to book it for next year our weeks were taken. Great location walking distance to restaurants and local bars. Can't wait to come back. Property was clean and exactly as advertised . Owners were easy to communicate with, friendly and helpful . Kitchen was well supplied and again ‘clean’ -no musty smell. We ‘ve stayed in numerous units in Kamaole Sands. We particularly like units in building 10 that have the large deck . Would def stay here again .

We have stayed at Kamaole Sands in the past . This area of Kihei will not disappoint. A short walk to the beach , restaurants , delicious ice cream & cinnamon buns !! The condo was well stocked with everything we needed, with the owners leaving a welcome gift & checking with us to make sure we were happy with everything!

The property has an amazing location right across from the ocean, which can be seen from the lanai. This rental has everything you need to truly enjoy a family vacation. Bob and Lindy have provided all the essentials plus the "goodies" in the lanai closet take the worry out of what to bring to the beach.

As a family, excellent location - short walk across the street to the beach, great pool for kids, beautiful grounds, beautiful and well appointed apartment. Very large and nice deck which was well used by us. Highly recommend.

We have stayed at multiple units at Kamaole Sands but this unit/experience was by far the best. From a welcome basket to hosts checking in on our stay to make sure all was in order was above and beyond. A+ Customer Service is very rare these days. We will definitely book again.

Last minute we decided to extend our trip in Maui by a few extra days and ended up choosing to stay in Kihei! The condo was fully equipped with everything we needed and teh location was great! We were right across the street from the beach and in walking distance of shopping and restaurants! Bob and Lindy's communication was great and were so helpful in making our last few days in Maui memoriable!

My daughter had a big birthday year so she want to celebrate near the water and this place didn’t disappoint. We were very close just walk across the street and we could get in the water, it was nice to be able to sit on the patio and watch the waves. The snack package was a nice amenity too! thank you.

Fabulous condo and very close to one of our favorite beaches. We were even surprised by a huge turtle while swimming. Very exciting! Great kitchen with updated appliances. Seriously, you will want for nothing. BTW, beautiful ocean view from the front door and lanai. We would seriously consider this condo on our next trip to Maui. Mahalo for lovely and relaxing week.

Overall, amazing experience. Quick and painless process checking in. We loved the amenities of the property. The lanai closet had everything we needed. The place was extremely clean and had extra of anything we may have needed like bug spray and bed sheets. We’ll be back again!

The Kamaole Sands was a great property in an excellent location. We were able to get to different beaches each day with ease, the condo had everything we needed to prepare breakfast or dinner, including a very nice grilling set up. This condo was perfect for us, and included the beach gear we needed to make our days perfect. We were wishing we had gotten our children to Hawaii while they were still young, this condo would be perfect for a family of 4.

Beautiful condo and wonderful owners to work with! They have thought of everything in their decor and amenities. The location to the beach and Kihei shopping and eateries is perfect and the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans for cooking. This was a great condo! Well equipped, perfectly clean. Great location! This trip was just me, but the condo could work great for a couple and 2 kids. The hosts were accommodating and communicated clearly and often. Nothing else to say - just perfect!

Beautiful Condo with a view
The location is perfect. Just a short walk to the beach and park area. The Lanai is what we loved the most. It's huge and has a nice couch and table. Sometimes we just stayed on the Lanai and had dinner or drinks. The condo is also a short walk to a few restaurants and stores.

A Kihei Gem
Bob & Lindy were amazing hosts. Before our trip, I had contacted them asking if they had a puddle jumper for our child. They didn’t, but went the extra mile to call the snorkeling shop down the street from the unit to ask if they had any available and notified me the shop had an online special going. I appreciate their great customer service and going above and beyond!
Their unit had everything we needed for our family of 4 during our one week stay. We started our days cooking breakfast and enjoying the morning views on the Lanai. The unit is steps away from the beach and perfect for watching the sunset. Beach chairs and beach towels are graciously provided. Our family also enjoyed using the on-site pool. The unit has a washer and dryer, which makes packing light a breeze. We are already looking forward to returning to Bob & Lindy’s condo on our next Maui trip. Mahalo Bob and Lindy!

This condo has everything!
We have stayed here before, but this year there were several upgrades made to the condo that really made our stay even more comfortable. The cordless Dyson vacuum made it really easy to keep our temporary living space clean. The new coffee machine was lovely as was the couch outside. There was plenty of everything we needed (beach towels, shower towels, etc.). We always stay in Kam Sands and will definitely try for this condo again on our next visit!

We had a magical time at this ocean front condo in Kihei! To be able to just pop right across the street to the beach was so nice, especially with small children. Possibly my favorite thing was that the condo was completely stocked, not a single thing we needed to purchase, just showed up with food and enjoyed 10 days in paradise.

This condo is amazing and has absolutely everything you need for the beach that is a block away. Our hosts were super responsive and accommodating. Next time we plan to go to Maui we will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in another unit owned by Bob and Lindy in February 2019. It was a wonderful stay. The tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean interior, the oversized lanai, the beautiful view, and the fully equipped kitchen all created such a welcoming environment.
Fast forward to 2021...we attempted to once again reserve the unit, but it was booked during whale season. After much searching, we came upon accommodations nearby that appeared to meet our needs. Not long after the reservation was confirmed, we were ELATED to learn that the unit had new owners...BOB AND LINDY HUGHES! We knew we had hit the jackpot! We spent 13 glorious days there and just returned home less than a week ago.
The view from this unit is absolutely gorgeous, and we ate most of our meals from the lanai. Evening sunsets aren't to be missed. A very quick walk across the street to the park/beach area provides a front-row seat to the spectacular evening sunsets. ("Seats" courtesy of Bob and Lindy!) During whale season, the breaches and blows of the amazing humpbacks are visible from there even without binoculars. (But binoculars make it much more exciting!)
When we visit Maui, our main focus is whale watching. The location of the condo complex is literally a five-minute walk or a 60-second drive (we did that once! lol) to the boat ramp from which several outdoor adventure companies provide exciting whale watching trips and more. We were out on the water nearly every day and were NEVER disappointed!
Bob and Lindy were consistently quick to respond to any concerns and/or inquiries I had before and during the trip. They truly want their guests to have a worry-free experience! It's obvious they take great pride in their two units and are open to constructive ideas for improvement.

Perfect location in Kihei!
Bob and Lindy's condo was the perfect location for our family of four to enjoy Kihei and explore Maui. It had everything we needed and was a great "home base" to come home to after our daily adventures. Our kiddos loved the Murphy beds and the lanai goody closet had everything we could have wanted for the beach! Mornings and evenings on the lanai watching the ocean and hearing the waves and the birds were priceless. Definitely a great stay, thank you!!

We have stayed at Kamaole Assad’s 5 times and this is our favourite unit we have stayed in! We have stayed in this unit twice now and love it! Large lanai, two comfy Murphy beds and very well appointed unit!

The Kihei condo was perfect for our first trip to Maui. Though our days were filled with outdoor adventures around the island, it was nice to return to the comfortable condo. We truly look forward to returning to Maui (next time spending more time in/around the condo) and enjoying the Hughes' generous and friendly hospitality.
