About this villa rental
Lattice House is the ultimate tropical villa. Set in a 60 acre private reserve, 3 minutes above beautiful Playa Hermosa, surrounded by jungle, you will enjoy spectacular ocean views from every room, the decks, and the infinity pool.
Enjoy its unique Bali modern architecture, and custom-designed finishes and furnishings, all imported from Bali. Lattice House was built and has been lovingly maintained as my home, and you will feel as though it is your own private paradise for your stay.
You will have an onsite manager/concierge and an onsite chef to take care of your ground transportation, activities, catered meals, and restaurant reservations, so that you can spend all your time just relaxing and enjoying your stay.
Lattice House is conveniently located half-way between Dominical and Uvita, right off the coast highway. You won’t have to spend your valuable vacation time driving up and down mountain roads to enjoy incredible views and privacy. The reserve encompasses large park-like spaces, orchards, and jungle, with trails leading to numerous streams and waterfalls. In any direction, you see only white water coastline, mountains, or rain forest. On any given day, you may see and hear howler and white-face monkeys, coaties, tayras, agouties, sloths, toucans, aracaries, hummingbirds, parrots, and dozens of other bird species, all from the house decks.
Lattice House is a spectacular place, and I am happy to share it with our guests.
The master king bedroom, one queen bedroom and two full baths are on the main level; two bedrooms (one queen, two twins or one king) and a full bath are on the lower level. There are two sofas in the living room that can be used as additional beds.
Lattice House has all the amenities you expect in a luxury home and much more: partially covered total infinity pool with heated jacuzzi; four covered patios and decks; air conditioning in all the bedrooms; slate and marble floors and bathrooms; lattice work and hardwoods from Bali; outdoor master bath with copper soaking tub; lower floor walk-in outdoor shower; copper and stone sinks; fully equipped, stainless steel kitchen; beautiful furnishings, artwork and accessories.

Book this property! It is exactly as described, if not better. You could spend a week here just to explore/enjoy the property and grounds alone. We completely wished we had more time and would 1000% book here again (and hope to!). We had prepared food delivered to the house by the suggested chef and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It was so convenient to have home made food available when we arrived so that we could just enjoy the property after a long day of travel. We ordered the passionfruit pie based on other reviews and absolutely can confirm that it is a must order! Ana, the concierge, is absolutely fantastic and so incredibly helpful. We had a flight snafu VERY last minute our last day and Ana helped us re-arrange our driver to SJO for a very early AM pick-up in a matter of hours. She is truly a lifesaver. Highly recommend the massage service too. It was so amazing to listen to the wildlife and the waves crashing while enjoying a massage off the primary bedroom balcony. We did not see any furry creatures during our stay ( we did HEAR the monkeys though) but we saw many toucans, many other various birds, and even some red macaws. The serenity, privacy, and views are truly incredible with only a VERY short drive to the beach, markets, restaurants, etc. This is the most well-appointed rental home we have ever rented. We had an absolutely wonderful 7-day stay here in May 2026. The property was so nice, we spent many days just enjoying the pool and seeing animals right from the deck. It was a good home base for a few adventures as well, and the area was wild and beautiful jungle that we were constantly in awe of. Ana the concierge was a great help in setting up a car rental delivered to the house, massages by the pool, adventures in the area, and some of the best chef services we've enjoyed on vacation from Chef Koko. An absolute must to have him prepare one of his local dishes while you watch the sunset over the beach. House, location, staff, privacy - all five stars, could not have been better. If you're looking for paradise, this really might be it. We can't wait to come back.

This is easily the nicest place I've ever stayed, hotel or otherwise. The house is about 1/4 mile up a beautifully landscaped driveway behind a gated entrance. The house itself lived up to the photos.There were six in my party, and everyone slept very comfortably in one of the four air-conditioned bedrooms. During the day we opened all of the sliding doors. The main part of the house and the patio/pool area provide enough room for everyone to spread out.The kitchen is very well appointed, and we had everything we needed to prepare several of our own meals. There are grocery stores nearby in Uvita and Dominical if you choose to cook for yourself.We also bought the services of Chef Mayron for breakfast and dinner of two of the days. Chef Mayron and Harold prepare full meals that were fantastic. When they are done, they clean up everything to the point you can't tell they were ever there. Don't do what we did by trying to finish everything in one sitting and you'll have plenty of leftovers, too.We can't say enough about Ana, the concierge. Ana lives close by and is very responsive to questions and requests. Ana also took care of setting up airport and hotel transportation on both ends of the trip. She also arranged for a rental vehicle that was delivered to the house the first morning after we arrived.Lastly, Patricia, the owner, was very prompt and responsive from the beginning of the rental process. 100% we would visit again!
