About this house rental
Nestled in Portland, this charming house for $332 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Treat yourself to a fabulous getaway in North Portland, located two blocks away from the stunning Peninsula Park Rose Gardens and Fountain, and blocks away from the Historic N Mississippi area. This vibrant historic area is bustling with boutiques, coffee shops, music venues, outdoor cafes, and great energy. Located close in, you can easily forget the car and walk, or take public transportation, which is easily accessible. Come discover a city filled with phenomenal restaurants, farmers markets, outdoor craft markets, live music, theatre, performing arts and so much more. With so much to see, you'll be planning your next trip before you leave. It happens all the time! Long term rentals are welcome!! This modern, contemporary home was built five years ago and features an open main floor layout, conducive to entertaining, with the added benefit of a private office on the main floor, as well a half bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with high end appliances and even things like a crock pot. We provide white on white plates and more , with 18 of each, so you don’t need to run dishes after each meal! The gas pebble fireplace makes for a cozy retreat on cold winters days, nestled between the two living couches. Alternatively, in the summer heat, we have central air conditioning throughout the house. All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor. The master ensuite is huge and has a luxurious king sized bed and tv. The bathroom hosts a double sink and extra large tiled shower. The closet is larger than some peoples bedrooms! I wish I had one of those! The other two bedrooms have queen and full sized beds, and share a full bathroom. The fully equipped laundry room is also located on this level, which also holds additional linens and towels. Per city code, a full time resident resides on the ground level of the property, allowing this to be legal vaction rental, and as such is permitted through the city of Portland. There is no access between the full time residents unit and the main house. Please note that this is a no smoking and no pet property. Violation of either will result in a $500.00 fine. In addition, in order to maintain the beauty of this home, we ask that you not wear shoes in our home. We provide slippers at the front entry, but feel free to bring your own. As a side note, we just installed a smart doorbell at the front door. We also have an ADT security system, which is active when we do not have guests. This property is legally permitted with the City of Portland: 15-147666-000-00-LU 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟As a side note, please consider purchasing a cancellation insurance policy prior to your reservation, through CSA Insurance. You can reach out to VRBO at 877-202-4291 to add this to your reservation. Please note that we are taking every precaution possible to make sure that you have a “safe stay “ with us. You will find hand sanitizer, wipes, at the entry of our property. In addition, we exercise the use of through anti bacterial cleaners throughout the house. We just added an new foosball table on the main floor !

We enjoyed our stay at this tri-level home. It was clean and comfortable. We loved how the Missisippi Ave area was close and walkable from our doorstep. We found several great places to dine. Sweedeedees was our favorite breakfast cafe. We highly recommend it and it was a walkable distance from the house. The location was perfect and close enough to downtown to not have to drive more than 10 mins anywhere. We recommend this property for families as there was ample space with 3 bedrooms and a ensuite master bath.

This was in an ideal location and was the perfect home away from home for our family while in Portland for a family wedding. The home is well-maintained and furnished with everything we could have needed. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home and accommodations. Location was perfect to sightsee and dining. I’m returning to Portland would book this location without a doubt a must stay. Only part that was not liked. Was the ring doorbell monitoring camera. Other than that a great stay a must stay vrbo.

Our stay at Zen Modern was amazing! The house is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, clean and well stocked. It was in a great location making it easy to get many places around Portland. The neighborhood was quiet and it was great to have a garage to park in. Lill, the host/property manager, was wonderful and was so quick to respond to questions I had about about the house, coffee shops in the area and even where I could find my teenage daughter a dress for the wedding we were attending because the one we ordered at home didn't come in time. We will definitely stay again on our next trip!

Great property in a very nice location near the Peninsula Park rose garden. The house was well appointed Ana well equipped for all of our needs, even a Pack and Play and a high chair for my granddaughter! Lill was super respectful to all of our needs. Highly recommend!!!

If there was ever a perfect vacation rental house this has to be it. The kitchen was phenomenal with everything you need and a large island and spacious dining table in the separate dining area. I had invited relatives from Denmark to stay with us so we were 6 people plus I have family members who live in Portland and we had planned a Danish “food festival” involving quite a lot of cooking. This kitchen made it a breeze and we had so much fun. There were 3 bedrooms and 2 1/5 bathrooms. The master suite was a dream. Very large with nice walk-in shower and two sinks. It also had a huge walk-in closet and we could close ourselves off from the rest of the house when we felt like it. The 2 other bedrooms were bright and roomy and had lots of closet space. Their shared bathroom had a bathtub. The only outdoor space was a lovely deck off the kitchen but the house is very close to Peninsula Park with the beautiful rose garden. The garage was great. It only had room for one car but that was enough. There is lots of street parking in that area. There is also a very nice office that my husband used for work when he needed to and the living room was extremely comfortable with 2 big sofas and a large fireplace. We were able to have a perfect Danish food festival in this Zen house. This was the perfect house for us

2 of my girlfriends and myself spent 4 nights at this wonderful vacation rental. Everything we needed was there including a welcoming bottle of wine. Lil kept in contact with us and made sure we had what we needed. The best thing about the home was that it was well stocked with dishes, utensils, spices, towels, soap, laundry detergent, etc. We felt like we were home. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to explore the Portland area and have everything they need. We would definitely stay there again.

My family and I stayed at this home for my son's Portland wedding. It was perfect from start to finish!.Great communication with Lil. Plenty of space in all three bedrooms especially beautiful was the master suite with enormous shower, sink areas and closet space. The house had every amenity you could need. Kitchen was well stocked. Sunny laundry room had extra towels and sheets. It was very well organized and everything was well thought out.We loved every minute and hope to return.

We loved the coziness of this property. The surrounding area is a bit busy, with a community college across the street, but we loved being able to walk to an amazing rose garden and park just blocks away. The property manager was welcoming (leaving a complimentary bottle of wine!) and provided detailed instructions for entry, which felt safe and secure (including garage parking). Once stepping inside, the house was quiet and spacious. We especially loved the comfy beds and quiet evenings. The primary shower was dreamy and I loved the fact that there were ample extras left from previous tenants to help with toiletry or pantry staples. We were super close to the airport when it came time to fly home. Definitely worth a stay in Portland!

The foosball table is a lot of fun, the porch off the kitchen is super intimate, and the open layout of the living space makes having a family dinner very easy. It is about 20 minutes away from the airport, close to the rose garden, and within a couple blocks of coffee shops and little restaurants. The bathrooms are luxurious and well-stocked with essentials should you forget anything. The kitchen is also well-stocked both with equipment and a decent pantry. The neighborhood and street are very quiet and the house is quite serene in its wooded surroundings. There's even a little tuxedo cat that roams in the neighbor's backyard!
Our only suggestions would be more diverse pillow options in the bedrooms. They are super soft pillows, just a heads up if you're into a different type of sleeping support. Also, the lights outside the master bedroom can be bright, so bringing an eye mask might be something to consider. Very minor suggestions that did not affect our overall enjoyment of this awesome place!

We were an extended family; grandparents, adult daughter and granddaughters. There were 5 of us in all. The house fit us comfortably and felt luxurious. Even with our two sons coming to hang out, the entertaining areas were quite spacious, accommodating all of us. The Foosball table was a plus. The kitchen was well equipped. Lill, our host, was constantly in touch to check on our welfare. Waiting for us upon arrival was wine and coffee… what more could we need ?!?! 😃 Coffee shop around the corner and quiet neighborhood, yet easy access to lots of eateries and easy drive to downtown Portland. The garage was another plus, accommodating our mini van easily. Perfect home away from home for us ! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again when we return to Portland.

We wanted a home-like atmosphere where we could spend quality time with our Portland relatives and the Zen house was just the ticket! We frequented local grocery stores for meal ingredients and cooked a bunch at home. We shopped for games and puzzles at Mox (in downtown Portland) and had a wonderful time playing and listening to music and making great memories. We will return!

. . . for our mini-reunion of five "old" school friends. Zen Modern was immaculate, very well stocked (kitchen, linens) -- we could have moved in permanently and not wanted for much! Besides the garage, there was ample on-street parking; plus it was an easy walk to the Killingworth MAX station. Best: Lill was truly a Premier Host!

What a beautiful house! The modern features, the art, the light fixtures, the thoughtful design - all terrific.
And it's comfortably walkable to cafes, shops, Peninsula Park rose garden.

Our family had a great stay at the Zen Modern. It was clean and well taken care of, the foosball table provided hours of entertainment, the high chair and pack and play were great for our 2-year-old, and the location was easy for getting around Portland quickly. This home was a great home base for our visit to Portland. The home was clean and modern (new kitchen and bathrooms), with easy parking in the attached garage. We especially enjoyed the huge master bedroom, fireplace, and foosball table. Communication from Lill was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a place in North Portland.
