About this condo rental
Situated in Portland, this lovely condo for $132 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This is a lovely two bedroom apartment in a fourplex with its own private deck overlooking a grove of lush trees. Vaulted ceilings, well insulated from sound a temperature, close to major bus lines, and a five minute drive to PSU, OHSU and downtown. The apartment is close to the South Waterfront, several parks, and nearby shopping centers and restaurants. It is practically downtown, yet situated on a quiet street with no outlet. Bring your bike and store it safely on your private deck. This spacious, cozy home-away-from-home is completely furnished with very comfortable beds, including a sleeper sofa. There are lovely vaulted ceilings and the kitchen has just about everything you'd need to cook all your meals. The surroundings are park like, with trees providing shade in the summer. In winter, when leaves are off the trees, there's a view through to the Willamette River. Comfortable outdoor chairs on the deck invite you to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. There is a reserved off-street parking spot right near the front door. Living room: Tons of natural light. Sleeper sofa (full bed). Vaulted ceilings. Smart TV. 2 sofa chairs. Coffee table. Access to private balcony with outdoor chairs and coffee table. Kitchen: Light-filled breakfast nook with a table that seats 6. 4 burner stove and oven. Sink with garbage disposal. Cabinet with some extra storage. Bedrooms: Queen sized beds, closets with dressers, extra bedding. _________________________________________________ I have found over time that every VRBO is different and every guest’s expectations are different when they book a short term rental. It is my goal to make sure that I am as transparent as possible so that you can make an educated decision on your choice of where you would like to stay. NOISE: No excessive noise. No parties. No yelling. SMOKING: No smoking anywhere on the property PET POLICY: All pets must be approved in advance. You must confirm that the animal has no history of property destruction, indoor urination/defecation, aggression, or excessive noise. I expect you to have the animal with you or cared for when you're not home. In order to maintain an allergen-low environment for other guests, I have my cleaners do deep cleans after every animal stays there and hire a carpet / upholstery cleaner if necessary. Any undisclosed pet will result in a large penalty. FEES: Dogs and cats: 7 days or less: $100 // 7-14 nights = $150 // 15+ nights = $200. This fee does not cover any damages caused by the pet that result in excessive cleaning or repairs. ESAs / Service animals: If you have an ESA animal please send me a copy of the paperwork including the letter from your healthcare provider. If you have a service animal trained to help you with a disability, I will be asking you the following legally allowable questions: 1) Is the service animal required because of a disability? 2) What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? (Your disability does *not* need to be disclosed) CLEANING: Sometimes a cleaner does a poor job and it catches me (and you!) off guard. Please let me know if the cleaner missed something(s) important and allow me to fix the issue. I assure you that I strongly value cleanliness and any lack of cleanliness is not on purpose. I do want to advise, however, that many of my apartments are older constructions and there is only so much you can do about regular wear and tear aside from an apartment remodel. So, I please ask that you keep this in mind when booking. I do not have luxury rentals – I have cozy, lived in spaces. APARTMENT BUILDING: This unit is located in a building with other units. It is very well insulated, however, you will often hear the normal noises of other tenants in the building. This may include: pets occasionally barking, muffled voices, muffled music, muffled TV noises, furniture being moved, people in the stairwell, etc. If you notice the other tenants causing excessive noise, especially during quiet hours, please let me know! If you would like me to bring over a noise machine, please let me know. By booking this unit, you acknowledge this reality of potential noise.

This property very much met our needs for our one-week stay in Portland. We were a bit disappointed in the cleanliness (bedding, cobwebs, deck) which is probably an outlier (maybe the cleaners had a rough week) as most other reviews are high on cleanliness. We would return.

Clean and quiet. Plus, is close to Downtown and Multnomah Village, which has great restaurants and local shops.

Managers were very responsive and the place was so comfortable.

Came to Portland for a long weekend visit with my daughter who’s attending OHSU and her husband. Enjoyed the Oregon Zoo, Multnomah Falls e-bike tour and some great restaurants. The property was so comfortable and perfect for evening games. Quiet neighborhood.

Nice and quiet location but no central air, so during the hot weather, the bedrooms were hot. Only 4 bath towels so we washed a lot of towels.

I had one of the best vacations I’ve had in years. There were many things I enjoyed in Portland: therapy at the Portland Myofascial Release Center, acro at Tempo Circus, and the Portland Salsa Congress. And staying at this VRBO was also a great part of the trip. The place was clean, had great views, in a nice neighborhood near lots of fun places, included many of the comforts of home like a washer and dryer, and the price helped make the trip happen with greater ease as well.

DANGEROUS SCAM
The owner fraudulently AND RUDELY claims we have stolen her WIFI Nest !!
Similar incident was reported by another user review where the host has fraudulently made a similar fraud accusation and not returned the damage deposit to the guest.
We also asked if she provides a crib and high chair and her response was to buy it , use it and return it back to the store!!!

We loved how quiet the neighborhood was, even though it was just a few minutes from downtown Portland. We were there during a cold spell and the heating worked wonderfully. Kitchen had most of what you would need for cooking (spices, oil, utensils), though we didn't do any ourselves. The mattress was a bit on the firm side for my husband and I but I know a lot of folks prefer that (it was perfect for my mother in law)! Thank you Nancy and L.E. for the lovely stay and will keep your place in mind next time we are in town!

Perfect Stay
My girlfriend cried when we had to leave! She wanted to live there. Very peaceful apartment on a quiet street, love the balcony among the trees. Beds were comfy, but one small complaint: don't expect much from the pullout couch, it's seen better days.

Excellent place to stay
We had a great experience at Nancy’s place. Everything was clean and neat. All the appliances worked perfectly.

Our family of four stayed at this property in the middle of a two week Pacific Northwest road trip. We had been staying in hotels and were ready to do some laundry and cook our own meals for a few days. This property is well located - quick drive to a large grocery store, quick drive to the Pearl District (and street parking is fairly easy there). The apartment was quiet and comfortable - beds and shower were great. We would definitely stay there again!

Decent property, convenient location for my trip. Main issue was that the walls are thin so I was kept awake on Friday night by the neighbors. I don't think they were doing anything excessive, it's just thin walls / ceiling.

Very clean, cute. Enjoyed the deck. Loved the parking spot and washer/dryer. The couch could use an update. But overall a great stay.

Great place to stay in Portland
This was the perfect place for my sister, friend, and I to stay while we were visiting Portland. There was plenty of space, in close proximity to everything we wanted to see, and had a BEAUTIFUL view from the back balcony. Nancy was such a wonderful and easy-to-work-with host. I forgot something after leaving and she was incredibly understanding and responsive! Next time we're in town, we've already decided we'd like to stay here again!

Portland vacation
We had a very nice stay. The apartment was clean, quiet and had convenient parking. It was nice stepping outside on the private balcony in the mornings. We also enjoyed being walking distance to Elephants on Corbett. I was even invited to a game of cribbage one morning. The location worked well getting to the places we were visiting in the city. The fold-out bed in the living room was most comfortable when the mattress was on the floor.

Wonderful location, near to our son's home.
Our upstairs apartment was quiet and very comfortable. We didn't do any cooking other than make coffee and toast but the kitchen, along with the rest of the apartment, had everything we might have needed. The one air conditioner is in the kitchen area and we were concerned it might be warm in the bedrooms for sleeping. However, there were several portable fans and we used them to direct cooler air into the bedroom area. The location is less than ten minutes from our son's home which made it all the more appealing. We would definitely stay here again.

Weird misunderstanding? Scam?
The day after our stay, I received a message from the owner saying I would not be receiving my damage deposit because I snuck dogs into the apartment and that they must have peed and pooped on the carpet and furniture, leaving a terrible smell which would require replacement or professional cleaning.
They did not respond to my assurance that no such thing had happened. I do not own dogs and I certainly did not bring any to the property. It was clean when we arrived and clean when we left. My husband even folded the laundry they had left in the dryer.
If you do choose to stay here, make sure you pay with a credit card so you can have the damage deposit charge reversed if this happens to you.

Nice little place tucked in amongst the mossy trees. Very quiet neighborhood and close to the city.
Would stay here again!

Spacious and lovely home
We arrived at the home in the late afternoon. It's an upstairs unit in a 4-plex. The home is quite beautiful; it has plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. The washer and dryer are in the kitchen. It also has a view into a wooded gorge from the back deck. Since we were in Portland for some very hot weather, we used the deck quite a bit.
It's convenient to several bus lines; we never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus to take us downtown. It's also just a few miles from a large grocery store. We walked to dinner a couple of nights; it's close to restaurants on Corbett Street.
There was plenty of space for us to spread out, and for storing our clothes and luggage. The unit has one parking space; there is limited neighborhood parking nearby. We found the neighbors to be very friendly.
The owners of this property were very responsive to our needs (we had some trouble with the door lock and they replied with assistance in less than 20 minutes). I would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at this residence. The pictures were consistent with the actual place, location was great, and details were so well thought out! There were some blocks to play with for my son, a pack n' play, amazing teas, shampoos, plenty of towels and comfortable beds. Not to mention a beautiful deck. Only wish that I would have would be a check out later than 11:00a, however, I understand it is due to a professional cleaning service which is also very appreciated. Staff was extremely helpful and responded very quickly. Definitely recommend to others!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable apartment in a prime location. The photos and descriptions are accurate. It is close to downtown but in a cute neighborhood with beautiful Victorian homes. Everything was very well thought out and we appreciated the recent Portland magazines and guides available to borrow. Nancy and Rod are very responsive. We definitely recommend this little gem of a place.
