My family and I had such a great time. The house was in a great location, the neighborhood was quiet, the deck was fairly private and the property owners were so friendly. There was plenty of room for us six. On the deck are views of the bird sanctuary and even a small section of the ocean. Inside the living and dinning rooms are full of ocean breezes. The downstairs bedroom had a strong musty smell that did make its way up. But a couple of days of airing out and it was tolerable. I would completely recommend this property to anyone interested in an easy location to enjoy summer tourist beach fun! Oh and the beach is a ten minute walk.

Great location for a beach vacation. The house is spacious with lots of natural light and incredible views. It is a safe neighborhood and about a 10 minute walk to the beach with a wagon and 2 kids.

This was our second stay at Trudy and John's home, which is located in a lovely neighborhood, very close to the beach, with a great deck and a beautiful view. The home is in need of some updates to make it a more pleasant place to stay. What we'd request if we stayed again is a deep cleaning, including mold mitigation. We could see and smell evidence of mold, and there was a good amount of dust. Small updates like MUCH better lamps and lighting, and some updates in the kitchen would go a long way to making this a more pleasant rental. Trudy and John are great hosts.

The location was great. Nice view of Sandhill Cove. Nice deck. Comfortable beds. Needed some paint and updates. Could have been better maintained.

Property was well maintained and clean. Very spacious and accommodated our family members perfectly. Beautiful views through the many sliders and a gorgeous wrap around deck. Had a great vacation stay.

Great location for 3 grandkids and in-laws to bond together. Open dining and living room area with wall to ceiling windows. Short walk to beach, good bike riding area.

I felt the stress melt away when I walked in the door. Wonderful view from the deck to sit with morning coffee . Very quiet street. Plenty of room for family we were six adults two children ages 5 & 2. Owners are super nice people.

Loved our stay here. Plenty of room for 10 people, 4 adults and 6 kids. Wonderful great open space in the dining/living room surrounded by a bunch sliders leading to the big deck. Awesome breeze and view! Great location, a minute to George Wheeler Beach, few minutes to Galilee restaurants and ferry, less than 10 min to Scarborough Beach and just over 10 min to Narragansett state beach. Would definitely come back!

We had an excellent week in this beautiful home. The beach is an easy walk from the house. A little bit further is Galilee and the Block Island ferry. We highly recommend this comfortable and well located home!

What a great house for 2 families, spent the week here with 7 kids and 4 adults. All positive feedback from all of us . So great to have linens supplied. We chose to have the cleaning service for an xtra fee. Will be back. If anything another table out on beautiful deck would be nice. Thanks for a great vacation. We walked to the beach most days , on others one would drop us all off and jog back. worked out perfect.

As with most things, there were pros and cons to this house. I chose the house because of its proximity to Roger Wheeler, its ability to accommodate my large group, and its availability. Our party consisted of ten people ranging in ages from 6-73. The split level house has three bedrooms upstairs, two have queen sized beds and one has a double bed. The lower level, which I would call a walk-out basement, has a queen bed and a double bed both in one big room. It worked okay for my significant other and I to share the queen, and my six year old to stay near us in the double bed, but no privacy between the two. My 12 year old slept on the pull out in the family room which she said was pretty bad, but is there such a thing as a comfortable pull out? The house has two full bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. They were both stocked with towels. The downstairs had a few rooms down the hall that were locked. My first impression of the house was diminished when I found the downstairs room smelled strongly of mildew, but maybe that's to be expected in the basement of a damp beach house that doesn't have air conditioning, and was only particularly bothersome due to allergies. The upstairs did not have the same issue and felt much cleaner overall. As for cleanliness, it was acceptable probably for most people, but dirty corners bugged me. I'd say the beach was about a mile if you followed the side streets and took the closest winding path to the shore? It was too far for us to walk with some older folks in the mix and a 6 year old plus beach gear, so we bought parking passes at around $60 a pop and drove. The house had good wifi. The kitchen had enough dishes and cookware for us. The grill was filthy and caught on fire, so I had to pause dinner, put out the fire, and clean it before I was able to use it. The deck is spacious and nice to sit on, but seating to eat on the deck was only for six and could use another table. You can just barely see a sliver of the ocean from it. There was a chicken coop in the neighbor's back yard which we got a kick out of. The owners were kind and flexible. I took a trip to NYC on the day of check in and they allowed my mom to check in without me. The owner provided us with bedding which we had to wash before check out. We opted to clean the place ourselves as opposed to paying the cleaning fee, which in hindsight I wish we hadn't done as it took hours to do right. Overall, we had a good time and would consider the house again.
