Have been renting homes from Home Away/VRBO since 2007. Have never been disappointed until now. Would have left upon arrival if I had another option. First sign should have been that outdoor garbage was half full when we arrived. House reminded me of a beautiful person dressed in dirty rags. Downstairs floors and rugs were visibly dirty. Bought Swiffer day after we arrived and vacuumed, however, rugs are so filthy that they need replacing. Rug in upstairs bdrm with sofa reaked of cigarette smoke. All the very inexpensive blinds in the house were damaged (could be replaced easily at less than $5 each). Living room - Big stain on sagging panels on ceiling in living room that looked like they could fall any moment. Fabric on top of leather like ottoman was completely peeled off, love seat had no legs so you were literally 4 inches lower than matching sofa. DIY coffee table makes room feel cheap. Dining room - DIY table is uneven and gaps in slats make it unusable without tablecloth (brought one with me). Blinds severely damaged. Bathrooms - With the exception of paper blinds on window, downstairs bathroom was perfect. Inside of upstairs tub felt like it had been repaired and not sanded/polished. Had to buy a mat for inside of tub to bathe my grandchild in. There were plenty of towels, but if staying for more than a few days bring laundry pods to wash them. Kitchen - 2 Power strips on back of counter (on same side of sink) were only outlets to use coffee pot, microwave or anything else you need electricity for in kitchen. Floor was dirty. Old oven (not meaning antique) stopped working Thanksgiving morning and oven light started flashing and beeping when using stovetop for prolonged period at higher than medium temperature. If it wasn't for family living down the street dinner would have been ruined. Coffee pot was large Keurig so purchased a drip maker for our 6 day stay. Not a paper towel to be found. Brought several rolls. Bedrooms - Sheets were provided, but brought our own. Had to wash upstairs blankets upon arrival because white one looked visibly dirty and found pet hair on another. No comforters/bedspreads as pictured on website. Thank goodness we brought extra blanket and one guest used blanket that wasn't used in small room to keep warm. Beds were comfortable though. Too many other things (negative and positive to mention) Suffice to say house needs serious deep cleaning and upgrades. It's very charming, just needs love.

The furniture was older than appeared on line. Pet must have preceded our visit based on occasional smell of urine emitting from boards and black dog hair on porch day bed.

Great Location. Nicely renovated to accompany growing families. Could use an additional shower either in the tub upstairs or outside.
