This home has the charm of the 1880’s New Mexican Territorial, updated with all the modern amenities and spaces for modern living for your stay in the Land of Enchantment New Mexico. This home boasts 4 gracious bedrooms and 4 beautifully appointed bathrooms. There is a king suite and a queen suite, both with a fireplace. A queen bedroom with a fireplace, and a bedroom with twin beds that can be converted to a king. The house has 6 beautiful fireplaces. There are two TV/Family rooms to hang out plus a formal living room. These also provide additional sleeping spaces. A fully stocked gourmet kitchen with a large island that allows for fun experiences that can be shared by others helping or watching. For those that want to entertain, there is a formal dining room, wonderful outdoor spaces with a chef level gas grill and more casual dining in the nook connected to the kitchen. There is also a detached casita (VRBO #1562227) that boasts great artist space or space to sleep 2 to 4 more. The casita has a bedroom and full bath, as well as minimalist kitchen. Rent both spaces for your larger group connections and functions. This property is set up for all sorts of entertainment, whether that be hosting a wedding, a reception, a group retreat or just hanging out with those important to you. The home and studio are both equipped with WiFi and high speed internet and lots of private spaces to relax or to work, if you have to. Our group has stayed at numerous NM homes over the years, but this home was voted our favorite. It’s over 5,000 SF, but still feels homey. Three living areas when you want some quiet time. It’s beautifully decorated in Santa Fe style with unique decorations, beautiful rugs, and cozy throws. We spent lots of time in the kitchen/dining area, playing games and cooking. Lots of snacks were provided and spices and condiments were available. The kitchen had every small appliance one could use (including an ice cream maker). Paper products were available as well as extra pillows and blankets. Beds were comfy and the main bathroom felt like a spa. We hated to leave, but hope to return soon.

We stayed in Galisteo at this beautiful property for Christmas 2023. There were 9 of us total, including 3 small kids, who also absolutely loved the property. (We also rented the casita for my brother and his wife, who joined us for a few of the days!) Jackie, Bobbie, and Marcella had decorated for Christmas -- small touches all over the house, which was so appreciated and helped us feel right at home. The home itself is absolutely gorgeous -- the other reviews are accurate in that the pictures do not do it justice. So many thoughtful details throughout. (And the long hallway that connects everything is incredible.) There is ample space to lounge solo or with family. There are multiple tables for dining -- we designated one for puzzles and games. There are fireplaces in nearly every room. (Heaven!) The kitchen has absolutely everything you would need. (We added a tamale steamer to the collection, but otherwise, absolutely everything :) It is a true 30 minute drive to town -- super manageable, even with little kids. But, like I mentioned, they were also more than happy to run up and down the hall and bounce between rooms with their toys all day. Marcella was helpful and communicative throughout our stay -- even recommended where to pickup fresh, local tortillas. Truly cannot say enough good things about this property. This is hands down our favorite / the best rental we have ever stayed at in the area. Thank you again for such a beautiful, welcoming space!

Our group had 8 adults and 2 kids, which fit perfectly in the main house and casita. Both homes were spotless and well equipped. We loved all the working fireplaces and stayed cozy in the snow. The hosts take great care in their listings and it shows. We would love to return.

As everyone else has said, the photos do not do this lovely home justice. It's so well-appointed and comfortable. Communication with management is wonderful. Such a lovely property and the location is so quiet and peaceful. A truly special listing.

Home was beautiful and superbly appointed. Nine of us had room to be together and room to be apart. Multiple gathering spots gave us space for conversation, games, and fun. Marcella was easy to reach, communicated well, and was responsive. It’s a great home to enjoy!

This gorgeous, spacious and quiet home truly brought our family together in ways that we didn't even anticipate! We rented both this amazing property and the casita which gave us so many options for our family to spread out that no one wanted to leave! From the well-appointed kitchen with anything you'd need to make yourself feel at home, to the multiple living/gathering places and extremely comfortable bedrooms we couldn't have asked for more! Bobbie, Marcella and Jackie are phenomenal hosts who think of everything so you don't have to! Tourism brochures and magazines as well as their informative binder of local information leave you with no doubts of how you can spend your time. Board games, books and outdoor areas abound and appeal to all ages. Peace, connection, and true NM beauty is what this amazing place delivers! Thank you for sharing your amazing home and letting us make it ours for a while!

We were wowed from the moment we stepped into the property! The only thing not accurate about the description is that the pictures don’t do it justice. We loved everything about this beautiful home! We were all just as happy to be spending time at this property as we were exploring Santa Fe. This rental is beautiful and well thought out. They have everything you could need. We visited my mother in law who lives in santa fe. All of us had our own comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We had enough space and the yard was great for kids and our dog. I want to go back!

This property was a home for us. I traveled with my sisters her husband and 3 college aged sons and their friend from England, We all had our own personal space, but also had plenty of communal spaces in the two TV rooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen. The outdoor spaces were divine. When we realized we didn’t have a way to toast marshmallows for our s’mores, one text message brought coat hangers and pliers within 20 minutes. We were close enough to Santa Fe and Albuquerque for entertainments there, but had a haven to come home to. The hot tub was a nice added surprise.

This gorgeous, 1880s remodeled home is 20 minutes outside Santa Fe and has Galisteo Basin hiking, walks around historic Galisteo, and a Thurs-Sun cowboy saloon in nearby Los Cerrillos. It was wonderful to stay here with our group of 6 family members from around the country for a birthday celebration. The house is big and beautiful and very comfortable with a large, well-appointed kitchen to cook together, a dining room for all of us to eat together, and multiple sitting rooms for chatting, TV, and a puzzle when it rained. The host leaves condiments/spices available making it even more convenient! Each bedroom has its own bathroom with great showers and soft towels. Bedrooms are big with comfortable beds, chairs, desks, working fireplaces, their own heater/AC units, and beautiful linens. The decorating touches are just amazing. The sitting area outside is very comfortable and large, and the large, gas grill out back works great. There is even a hot tub! I can't say enough about how beautiful and comfortable this home is and what a lovely respite it was each evening after days touring Santa Fe, Taos, Los Alamos, and Bandelier.

We rank this property at the top of the list. The hosts were very hospitable. All supplies were furnished, from toilet paper to detergent. You name it, they provided it.

The house was even cooler than the pictures. Plenty of room and items to do while hanging out there (like board games). It's only about 25 minutes from Madrid and Santa Fe for fun activities but also a great place to relax.

We had a group of 8 for a girl's trip and this home worked out perfectly. The home was lovely and had multiple spots for everyone to gather. It was comfortable, clean, quiet, and unbelievably well stocked. There wasn't a thing we needed. The home is pet friendly so that was a wonderful opportunity, and one of our group brought her dog, which was really fun. Thank you so much to the owners for sharing such a beautiful, historic home. We couldn't have asked for more.

My family spent Christmas here in Galisteo. Beautiful huge house that the pictures did not do justice to. There was enough room for all 3 of my teenagers to spread out and the 3 year old loved it too. Well equipped with anything and everything we could have needed. Close to Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Lovely quaint village and nice trail by bridge. We had a great time and I definitely will book again!!! Beautiful!

This was the perfect house, loaded with history and charm. It was the perfect size to accommodate my immediate and extended family and friends for a long weekend up near Santa Fe for my husbands art show. We loved it so much we joked about buying the property and will definitely be coming back next holiday season to spend with family! It was truly perfect and the hosts were so quick to answer any questions!

We have stayed in over 20 VRBOs, and this New Mexico stay was the best one yet! Seriously, I can’t say enough about this a short rental. The house was fantastic. It was equipped with everything we needed for our one week stay. My husband and I brought our eight children here for Christmas. The ages ranged from 9-21. It was absolutely perfect with Christmas decor and a beautiful Christmas tree in one of the living rooms. Just a wonderful time in a wonderful home.

From start to finish this experience was great. The home was so lovely! Warm and cozy, while also very spacious with room to spread out. The home was well appointed with everything we needed and more - and what a dream kitchen! The only (slight) downside is the distance to Santa Fe proper, but if you want quiet and space and peace, we highly recommend.

This is the third year at the property. As usual, everything was first rate. Marcella and Bobbi are great hosts are are attentive to all our needs. This is the first year when the weather hasn’t been as cooperative, cool but sunny most days. The house was a perfect venue for the family to gather and when family wasn’t visiting we had friends. All and all, another great month in Galisteo.

This is by far the most beautiful, well appointed and welcoming VRBO I have ever stayed in. From the moment we saw the property, we were blown away. Then we stepped inside the door, and we knew this was one of a kind. It was like we had just stepped inside the pages of House Beautiful. As an added benefit, there was a basket of snacks, a well stocked refrigerated beverage drawer including wine and an ample supply of coffees. No detail was overlooked.

My husband and I just spent 2 weeks at this amazing, stunning, incredible property. It started off being incredible even before we checked in because of the amazing, quick, through responses to all of my questions from Bobbie and Marcella. They have thought of everything to make your stay the best you will ever have. The pictures of inside don't do it justice, it is better in person! and the outdoor areas are wonderful. The kitchen has everything you could ever need, we ate all of our meals there. Great grocery store 15 minutes away. We loved the location, about 25 minutes away from Plaza because the village was so quiet and the people so welcoming. The house is beautiful inside, looks like a magazine in every room. The care of the renovation is obvious. The rooms are huge and the master bath is amazing. Two laundry set ups, check pantry and frig before going to grocery store---very well stocked. Loved just reading at night and playing backgammon. You could spend half day just going room to room viewing the beautiful artwork displayed. don't hesitate on booking this place.

Even though I wasn't able to make it, I heard nothing but raves about the house and how everyone enjoyed it. I guess it took five and a half years to complete and my family couldn't have been happier with it. I guess it showed the 5 1/2 years they put into it. I was sorry to have missed it but was so happy the family enjoyed it since I picked it out for them. The pictures didn't disappoint!!

This house provides the best of both old and modern worlds as it is a historic hacienda beautifully restored to provide modern comforts. It is a spacious and peaceful place easily accommodating seven adults. There are many nooks and crannies inside and out to chat, read a book, watch the swallows and hummingbirds or stare at the clouds drifting by. This is a lovely and luxurious retreat. Highly recommended!
