Located in Juneau, this lovely house for $625 per night is a great option for your next break. Relaxing home located on the Mendenhall River. Space for a fun family getaway, or a quiet retreat for a few. This home is newly renovated with lots of space and seclusion. Close to hiking trails, Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau City and Ocean fun! The views are breathtaking. The house sleeps 10 in beds and there is room for more on couches etc. There is space for gathering in a gourmet kitchen, group dinning and Smart TV.

The view alone is worth staying at Juneau River House. The mountains overlooking the Mendenhall River looked different every day depending on the sunlight and clouds, but always breathtaking. The river itself such a calming presence; a natural white noise machine. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay: comfy beds, plenty of blankets, lots of lounging space in the living room, many tv apps for down time, full modern kitchen for ease of use. We found gold pans in the closet and were able to walk down a little path and pan for gold. If you go across the bridge, there’s a trail that takes you down the river, but it was cut off from other trails by the recent floods. If you’re a rock picker, the beach across the river is FULL of them. We had a lovely time and didn’t want to leave.

Had a fantastic time, the house was well maintained and had everything we needed. The view was amazing, i loved waking up to seeing the river every morning. Would definitely love to stay again!

We had a great time at the Juneau River house! Even though the river flooding at an unheard of level we had a wonderful time. The river stayed out of the house so all was great!

We had a wonderful time in Juneau - we booked this house for a family reunion for my wife and sister-in-law who grew up in Juneau. The location was perfect for our our activities - close to Auke Bay and the Mendenhall Glacier. The views from the deck were stunning. It was everything we wanted for our vacation. The owners were quick in responding with any questions. We all wish we were still there!

This house is great, especially the setting. Beautiful views & right on the Mendenhall River. It’s close to grocery stores, the airport, Mendenhall Glacier & Auke Bay. Easy 10-15 minute drive to downtown Juneau. The kitchen was adequately supplied. Really the only down side, & only if you have a disability or problem with stairs, is the set of stairs you have to go up to get to the kitchen/living area. There are quite a few steps. Otherwise we highly recommend the Juneau River House. The view alone is worth it. Our family loved it.

Everything was great except for the 14 stairs inside to the upper floor.they had no backing and were slippery. Very dangerous. All the rest was great with great owners who even chopped wood for us.

The home was very clean. There were great views outside and from the windows. The owner stopped by a few time to make sure everything was good for us he also let us know where we could fish at which was great. Beds were very comfy. I Can’t say enough great things. It’s was just great. Thank you

Lara was the best hostess that answered all our questions and helped us the entire week we spent here. We loved that the river was so close and got inspired to do an extra fun excursion of floating it. Everything you need is in this house!!!

Perfect Juneau Home
11 of us, including two 2-year olds and a 6-year old traveled across the country to visit Juneau and this home was exactly what we pictured. The views are amazing, the communication for an easy arrival and departure was seamless, and it is in the quiet part of Juneau away from all the hustle and bustle of the cruise port. Everything was super accessible and there were hiking trails and fishing spots right outside out door. We would 100% stay here again. Thank you Lara!

wonderful experience, would do it again
Beautiful location on the river, easy access to Mendenhall glacier and other natural attractions. It felt remote and isolated, but also close to shopping and other conveniences. The views were spectacular, and the layout of the house was nice with the spacious, open floor plan of the upstairs and cozy bedrooms downstairs. If this property were for sale I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Fantastic place!
We had a party of six, with some being loud snorers, so we needed lots rooms. There was more than enough room for all of us! Lovely location on the river with a fire pit, as well as a really good size big screen tv. Very nicely appointed! We’d stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks!

Blissful Wedding Weekend
Lara and Mike, we had a fabulous stay at your property!! It was close to everything wedding related (we held the wedding at Auke Rec) for my wedding party and I, plenty of room for all my guests, space to have a campfire, the jacuzzi tub in the master was a beautiful touch, the kitchen is GORGEOUS, the view is doubly so... I can’t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend for wedding or family activities! Lara and Mike were very responsive to our needs, the house had everything you could want. It felt like we were in a world all our own - thank you for a wonderful, serene place to spend our wedding weekend!

Amazing view of a mountain and river; comfortable, clean, well-decorated home with modern amenities; peaceful location near a glacier and not far from many fun activities; kind, helpful, great hosts--what more could you want. We had a wonderful; we were sad to leave.

Loved this House!
Very nice house and views from front and back. Right on the Mendenhall River, the scenery was magnificent. Very clean and comfortable place. Large kitchen with nice appliances and granite counters. Living room has floor to raised ceiling windows with a perfect view of river and mountains. Close to Mendenhall Glacier and not too far from town. Owners were very nice. Definitely recommend this place!

River house was very nice.
All aspects of our stay were good except the first 24 hours. No heat. Had to wear coats and find extra blankets with in house temps in the 50’s. After the furnace was fixed we had a wonderful time. My granddaughter had fun waving at the rafter when they went by on the river.
