This rental is one of six quaint units in the Hidden Villa Cottages centered around a charming common courtyard area featuring a bubbling brook. What's nearby: Tucked away in a quiet residential community in mid-town Cannon Beach, this rental is about a block from the sandy beach for beachcombing and kite flying and Haystack Rock for tide pooling. The town's bustling business district is a short walk away for antique shops, upscale boutiques, local pubs, and other eateries. Other activities include hiking and whale watching. Things to know: Free WiFi Full kitchen (no dishwasher) Full-size sofabed in living room Up to four dogs welcome If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). It was a good stay and a nice quiet location. Just could use some updates/repairs. The code didn't work when we arrived after 10pm and it was freezing outside. Thank goodness the management company was available to get us in.

The place is lovely if a bit beaten up. The part that soured our trip was the infestation of ants in the kitchen. We could not keep any food or anything in the kitchen without ants covering the counter and anything on it. Really disappointed in the property for this reason

This was a quaint little cottage in need of some minor updates and just some general TLC. The cottage was pretty bare bones which could necessitate flexibility in regards to cooking. But if you're just in need of a place to kick up your feet at the end of the day, you can't beat the location or the price. Short walk to beach (1.5 blocks) and even shorter walk to some great coffee for your morning stroll by the water.

home is in need of maintenance and new flooring. No laundry facilities even though listing at the time of our rental stated it did. Laminate flooring damaged; electrical problems; ants; dirty shower and bathroom flooring; and only table had broken loose legs. Futon is worn and was torn in several places. The only plus was the location to beach. It was also quiet which we did appreciate. Loved Cannon Beach, will look somewhere else for our next visit.

This VRBO was fine if you don’t want to be in the house at all. It could have been seriously cute and cozy, but nobody has cared about this place in a long time. The lawn is covered in dog poop, vines are growing through gutters, and when we arrived there was no parking—to which we were told “there should be parking”… Inside, it was probably once adorable but now is full of uncomfortable furniture and had a slap of paint on it to make it acceptable. There were dead bugs smeared on the wall and the shower head was broken. They did fix the shower but didn’t clean off the bugs. The window was broken, much like the water feature outside. There wasn’t even a real door knob on the bathroom door.
If you want to have a comfortable place to hang out, don’t stay here. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep, it was fine although still not worth how much we paid.

Loved this cottage! Amazing location only a couple minute walk to Cannon Beach! Located in quaint, quiet residential area. Cottage was small yet sweet, used pull out couch for our 3rd guest and it worked well. My only minor complaint is that the Wi-Fi was slow did not work very well so not a reliable WFH space.

The grouping of cottages and outside amenities are nice. The location is great, easy walk to the beach and nice neighborhood.
The two negatives were 1) the bathroom has black mold/mildew in the shower grout joints & the wood trim outside the shower and 2) the bedroom carpet looks faded and lumpy.

Cozy cottage for two
We stayed in unit #3. At the end overlooking a little green yard space. Quaint little place for two. Maybe three if you have a small child. The location was great. A short walk (less than 2 blocks) to the beach. Unit was clean. You can get by with the kitchen for a quick easy meal, but if you’re planning to do most your cooking, you’ll want to bring more than just food, ie, spices, oil, foil, a couple of pans and coffee filters. Things I expected the unit to provide. The unit only had one small pan and a couple of small pots. We too had trouble with ants in the kitchen. Nice detachable shower head which made getting sand off easily. Furniture wasn’t very comfortable. Chair was pretty stained/dirty and broken in some, making it not to comfy to relax in. The futon was rock hard. The bed a little to thin and firm for my liking. The frogs at night are crazy loud right outside the door in the little pond. Cute though. Overall, probably wouldn’t book again, because the furniture for sitting needs an upgrade, (for when you are stuck inside on those super rainy days like we were 2 out of the 3 days there) otherwise, if you’re in for good weather, you might not mind so much. Last, the electric outlets are very worn and are chargers would not stay in them. We found one good one in the kitchen. Very tight on storage. No closet, so we had to keep the luggage in our car.

Very cute and cozy. Not sure if I'd rent again. Could not find the usual binder of info, nor any extra blankets. Kitchen had ants upon arrival, I took care of them - but they were back in the morning. Maintenance came out, placed traps and mentioned they had a plan.

Cute cottage, perfect location
The cottage was easy to find and perfectly as described. It was cozy and clean inside and the small courtyard was very picturesque. In the morning it was easy to walk to the beach and around town.
