After dredging, the channel is now 45 feet wide and 5 - 6 feet deep. You'll have two dock spaces to accommodate most any type of boat - feel free to ask if you have questions about your boat. If you don't have your own, you can rent pontoons or fishing boats down the street at 'Corner Landing'. As part of the all sports Lake James chain, you have access to over 2,000 acres of water on 5 lakes: Lake James, Jimmerson Lake, Snow Lake, Big Otter Lake, and Little Otter Lake. The Lake James chain offers great swimming at several sandy public beaches and sand bars. YARD: Unique for a lake house, the large, flat 1/2 acre lot gives you plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors with a family cookout, bonfire, or lawn games. The house has a large deck, big level grassy area, two sets of tables and chairs, a gas and a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. Wildlife frequent the area including heron, swans, ducks, turtles, and deer. LOCATION: The location is quiet but still very convenient – just a few minutes from I-69 or the Indiana toll road and walking distance to downtown Lake James with its restaurants and bars (Tom’s Donuts, Acapulco Mexican Grill, Club Paradise). It’s also just a few miles from Indiana’s best state park, Pokagon, which features beaches, hiking, and a toboggan run in the winter. Also nearby is the town of Angola with its cute downtown square, ice cream shops, mini-golf, Trine University, Fremont outlet mall, Satek Winery, Wild Winds Buffalo Preserve, and golf courses including Glendarin Hills, Zollner, and Lake James.
