The kitchen is perfect with all the needed utensils. Two gas fireplaces which were fun during the dreary February days. The views are outstanding and wish we got to use the deck more.

Very nice property. The owner/manager Bill was great. High energy, very responsive. The home needs a few upgrades such as the dining room chairs and some lighting. But the home looks over the Sound, has beautiful large windows, huge deck with firepit. Great master bedroom with windows to the porch and sound. I would recommend it.

Overall, we enjoyed our month in Queen Anne. That being said, we definitely had to work around a few things. First, the pros- the unit & private deck are absolutely beautiful and in a tucked away area. We enjoyed walking back from downtown Queen Anne many afternoons. The kitchen is well appointed and we liked the layout for our needs- it was spacious enough to comfortably host visiting family, and we used the kitchen and dining area to host my wife’s clients. Some of the cons- The listing does not reflect that this is a bottom floor condo unit with two units above. The property is definitely in need of some upkeep- The master bath window was filthy and the view is planter boxes full of dying plants. The property had been cleaned, but long enough before our stay that everything was covered in a layer of dust. The fire pit on the patio never worked. We notified Bill during the first week, he mentioned he was trying to get a repairman out to the unit but after inquiring a few more times we gave up. Many of the mugs and dishes are chipped and the mattresses, many of the linens, and the two lamp shades are stained and need to be replaced. The living room furniture is slightly different than pics and there is one less seat. The couch has seen better days. None of these individually are deal breakers, but lumped together, they don’t make a great first impression. Upstairs neighbors were given our contact information without giving us a heads up- it was a little odd to run into complete strangers who knew who we were, where we worked, etc since they’d looked us up online. The second floor neighbor made it obvious she was watching us as Bill would pass on notes reported back to him about the recycling and our dog. The biggest issue was that there are NO blinds on any of the windows in the unit. Outside of the obvious challenges with a 9:30pm sunset, on several occasions, we had site visits with no notice. The living room & master have ZERO privacy so we purchased and hung curtains with command hooks. The bathroom windows face a neighboring property and also don’t have shades or frosted glass. When I contacted Bill about the unannounced visits, he clearly knew it was an issue and offered to take us to dinner, which I suppose is nice- we would have rather had the privacy to fully relax & enjoy the property. Our right to privacy was not a priority. Property and location are great, but the lack of upkeep and failure to communicate were problems.

We were so lucky to be able to stay at Bill's place over the span of two months in March and April 2019. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, hopefully for a much longer period of time. I love everything about this place. It's all one level, so it feels huge when you walk from one end to the other. The kitchen is right in the middle, which we found to be very convenient for day to day living. The bedrooms have large walk in closets, allowing you to keep the place nice and neat, and the beds are soft and comfortable. This place has amazing light! Every room feels incredibly open due to the sheer number of windows; wall to wall and everywhere. When you go out on the deck, you will realize exactly what a gem this place is. The deck is gargantuan, with lovely wood flooring and lots of places to sit and enjoy the views out over Elliott Bay. Sunsets from this location are without peer. Barbecuing and enjoying the fire pit while taking in the vista of the Oympic mountains over Puget Sound is a memory that I will cherish forever. Once we settled in we started looking around the neighborhood and learning what its like to stay in Queen Anne. This is one of the most incredible areas of Seattle in terms of beautiful old restored homes and cutting edge architecture. Every day as I walked my dogs I would head out on a different path to explore. Some days I would walk south and head down to Kinnear Park and around Mercer and lower Queen Anne. Some days I would head north, along 10th, enjoying all the old homes and cozy shops. Some days if I wanted a bit of a trek I would end up at Elliott Bay Park, and enjoy the beautiful Seattle coastline. Everyone I met and spoke to in the area seemed very pleasant and easygoing. Often I would walk up the famous Queen Anne Stairs, heading east towards Queen Anne Ave. The views from the sweeping curves of 8th Ave and Marshall Park are amongst the city's best. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Tons of parking, easy access to the rest of the city, Friendly neighbors; you cannot go wrong with this place. Thanks again for the hospitality Bill.

Our family stayed in this unit for an extended period of time while our house was being remodeled. I looked at many options for renting for a year plus, and this ended up being the perfect place! It truly felt like being on vacation, even though Seattle was our home town! Your sense of adventure starts as you head down an unassuming side street. Tucked into the hillside, the building offers mid-century style with sweeping views across Elliott Bay to Magnolia, the marina, and West Seattle. Inside, we loved the rich hardwood floors, and multiple fireplaces, 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 luxe bathrooms. With 5 of us (3 adults and 2 kids), we were relatively comfortable, and the gigantic view deck really made the house seem twice as large. The firepit and comfortable furniture outside made it feel like a huge outdoor living room--with a spectacular view! The owner stocked the kitchen with pretty much everything we needed, from basic to epicurean. There were 3 parking spaces (unheard of in Seattle proper). And the west Queen Anne location just couldn't be any more convenient: 5 minutes to downtown, 3 minutes to Seattle Center, easy bus access, and our Uber drivers didn't get too lost getting to us... We had the nicest neighbors and a great experience here. I highly recommend a stay here, whether for a few weeks or a few months. You simply cannot get this peaceful urban oasis anywhere else in Seattle.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy everything that Seattle has to offer. Sightseeing in Seattle, getting to the ferries in downtown, exploring Queen Anne, renting a boat at the Elliot Bay Marina, visiting the locks, walking Discovery Park with spectacular scenery, everything is feasible from this address. There is a bus, that stops 1 street up, that takes you downtown. The apartment is beautiful, very well equipped and has so many great amenities. It lacks nothing. The location is fantastic with spectacular views, we sat on deck in super comfortable furniture, along a warming fireplace and watched the ferries, the container ships, the bald head eagles and so much more. The owner was very helpful and is a local, who knows all the great places. I would highly recommend this apartment to my friends and relatives.
