About this cottage rental
Situated in Boothbay Harbor, this attractive cottage for $289 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Located on the shores of Linekin Bay is the cottage you have been searching for. It's a romantic cottage built for one or two with breathtaking views of the natural beauty that surrounds it. The views from your cottage include Barrett's Park, Lobster Cove, Linekin Bay and world famous Cabbage Island. Watch the bright red sunrises and see how the sky changes to shades of light pinks and blues as the dawn comes forth. It's a spectacular sight that will remain with you forever. Step out onto your porch and experience the smell of the fresh morning salt air. Relax with your morning coffee made with a Keurig coffee pot so bring your K-cups! The cottage has a microwave, full sized refrigerator, cable T.V., and Wi-Fi. The bathroom has hot and cold water with a shower. There is a dock for your kayak or use of our kayaks, included in your rental. For larger boats we have a mooring with 7' of water at low tide that can be used, when available. Be sure to visit us during Windjammer Days, an annual event that lasts for a week! You can walk down the street and have your shore dinner prepared by one of the local restaurants. The town center is a 5 minute walk where there is unlimited shopping and local seafood restaurants, boats are moored and at dockside in the harbor. From the harbor you can catch a whale watching boat, deep sea fishing boat, take a sail on the Eastwind, or just a nice cruise around the harbor and surrounding islands and watch the seals, puffins and whales in their natural habitat. This is a Maine vacation at its best and one that will call you back to the unique and beautiful shores of Boothbay Harbor. Transportation is available from the Portland International Jetport or the Concord Coach bus stop in Wiscasset. We are located just off the Maine Island Trail between the Sheepscot and Damariscotta Rivers. Paddle right up to our dock for a few nights rest and the exploration of Boothbay Harbor on foot and approximately 5 miles north of Damariscove Island. No extra overnight guests allowed. This is a non-smoking and non vaping (inside and outside) and no pet property.

The Cottage is VERY small. And the ad was fraudulent about a dock. "There is a dock for your kayak or use of our kayaks, included in your rental." There was NO Dock. Kayaks yes but you had to roll them up a hill and over 800 yards to the park. Not recommended for elderly. Requested clean towels for week two and were told where there was a laundromat. No oven. We bought them a card table so that we would have a table to use.

Small, but cozy, this waterfront cottage had everything we needed. Great location - just a short walk into the town.
The only improvements would be for Internet service, which often had no connection for long periods of time, and the steep gravel walkway which made hauling luggage difficult. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was small but beautifully decorated with the Maine coastline in mind. It was located near Boothbay Harbor and close enough that you could walk across the walkway to the town. Two problems; the TV cable box was placed so that it was hard to change channels. Also, the stairs down the hill to the cottage were challenging to manage.

Fantastic location facing the water and a park on the other side of the cove. Very quiet and peaceful. Cottage is a wonderfully decorated, cleverly designed studio, tiny but functional, above the water and way below the main house .

Wonderful week in BoothBay
My husband and I spent a wonderful week Lobster Cove Cottage. It was small but very well laid out and had fabulous views of the the water/cove. We unpacked our suitcases and put those back in the car and that gave us plenty of room in the cottage. We loved waking up and sitting on the deck with out coffee. We ate most of our meals on the deck too. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked several dinners as well as all of our breakfasts there. The cottage is in easy walking distance to Booth Bay Harbor and we enjoyed going into town in the evening. The owners were incredibly nice and very responsive when the WiFi went out briefly and needed to be rebooted. Overall we loved this cottage and would definitely stay again.

The most perfect spot!
The location of this cottage cannot be beat. It is RIGHT on the water! The sun rises over the cove, casting beautiful morning light. I've never willingly got up at 6AM to exercise until waking up to that view! You have a private dock for kayaking and swimming. Yes, swimming! The water is so shallow at low tide it actually got warm enough to swim. Across the cove is a well maintained little park where we enjoyed watching the dogs and children play. It's was very quiet and peaceful but only a 10 minute walk from all the restaurants, bars, and attractions. There's also a lot to do a short drive away. Ocean point was incredibly beautiful and I highly recommend Glidden Point Oyster Farm. It's got a brewery vibe, but for oysters.

The cottage - and the location - was just fabulous. The cove is nice a calm and excellent for just lazing around in the kayaks. The cottage itself is comfy and had everything we needed. And being only a 10 minute leisurely walk into Boothbay Harbor (and all the wonderful shops and restaurants) we could be around the crowds if we wanted, but it was always nice to go back to our quiet place after we've had enough. Nan and Vanese were very helpful, and made sure we were comfortable while still giving us plenty of privacy.

A wonderful experience and beautiful cove
We spent our honeymoon at Nan and Mac's place. The location could not be more beautiful - a perfect vantage point to observe the sunrise, tides and wildlife in a quiet cove. The cottage is a studio with a small porch overlooking the water - perfect for us. We did a good amount of cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved being walking distance to Boothbay while in a private setting. Would highly recommend!

Great place with not only back porch overlooking the bay, but every window in the back! Perfect set up with everything you need for a get away. Great location within walking or biking distance to beach, park, and downtown Boothbay. Very nice hosts that communicated perfectly with us!

Great Boothbay Cottage!
My fiance and I had a lovely 5 night stay at the Lobster Cove Cottage. The cottage was cute, clean, and just as described. It was perfect for the two of us. It is in walking distance to everything in Boothbay, but far enough away from all of the hustle and bustle on the main drag. Nan was helpful when we required assistance. The location is across the street from a beautiful park. If you're staying in Boothbay Harbor, I highly recommend the Lobster Cove Cottage.

Perfect cottage for a relaxing get away!
Nan and Mac go above and beyond. As a host, you want someone to be kind, reliable, and helpful. They are all three. Additionally, they took us on their boat for a nice ride which was a clear example of how they treat their guests. The cottage is well maintained, quaint, and has everything you need to cook most simple summer meals (including a grill for some clams!). Location is amazing - right on the water (with kayaks available) and walking distance to town. Also, great neighborhood for walks. We couldn’t be happier with our stay and look forward to going back soon!

Very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is small, cosy and cute! We enjoyed the walk into town over the footbridge(about 15-20 minutes). Lots of restaurants to choose from for good seafood!

End of Summer Trip
Mac and Nan were the perfect hosts. We had a busy, hectic summer with a lot of travel and wanted a few days of R&R before heading home. Boothbay Harbor is a charming New England town and we enjoyed relaxing at the cottage overlooking the water. We’ll be back!!

Wonderful stay
This cozy cottage is right on the water. It is clean and new and has everything you need for what is basically a “studio”. Enjoyed watching tides come in and go out. A great blue heron fishing close by one morning at low tide. Super nice owners. We hope to be back.

Great setting in small cottage
This cottage is very clean and has all the things you need. The view of the cove were very nice and we really enjoyed the kayaks. The cottage is easily within walking distance of the town area for food and drinks. That said, this cottage is small and we had lots of luggage from an extended trip. It made the cottage feel even smaller. The bathroom and shower area are really tiny.

Comfortable, peaceful and an amazing view!
We had a lovely three night stay at this oceanfront cottage with an incredible view down the water. Nan had offered to let us stay the night before our scheduled visit at no additional charge but unfortunately we didn't have the time. It was a rainy and miserable late afternoon when we arrived but Nan had left the gas fireplace on for us and it was lovely. The first night we ate at the Thistle Inn and enjoyed it so much that we went back again on our last night. There is lots to see and do in the area but the best part was sitting on the cottage's little balcony and watching the sunrise and other action on the water (including a bald eagle). I definitely recommend this cottage.
