This was honestly the perfect spot for our 20-year anniversary trip to TCI! From the first moment, communication with the owner was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Booking was a breeze, and all the check-in material that was sent ahead of our trip was spot on. The condo itself had everything you would ever need on a relaxing trip like this. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked (check the cupboards before you go shopping...there was lots of coffee, coffee filters and basic spices there already!), the couch was comfortable (a rarity in tropical vacation rentals, we've learned), and the balcony was perfect. We loved drinking our coffee, eating breakfast, reading, and relaxing on that balcony when we weren't at the beach! Literally the only complaint I have is that we had to leave :)
The shower had shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel and there was quite a lot of sunscreen under the sink in the bathroom that previous renters probably left behind. There's a safe in the closet, and also basic beach stuff like coolers and snorkel stuff. The beach right outside is lovely - always easy to find a lounge chair and a fresh towel. My husband used the Hobie a few times and had a great time sailing. You can also use kayaks, SUP, and bicycles for free but we didn't get around to it.
Definitely would stay in this unit again next time we go to TCI, hands down!

I was wondering how this property got such high ratings but after staying there I get it now, the room we stayed in looked directly at the beach and was the closest building to the beach, right off the beach. The balcony pointed directly at the beach and made for an awesome sunset to watch. It was extremely roomy and had all the amenities you could need and a lot more than what was in the description. Everything was extremely clean and was in excellent shape! Hope to come back. If I could rate this out of a 10, I would give it a 9.9 and it far exceeded my expectations even. The one thing we did find out is that the restaurant/bar on the property had the better food/drinks/service and lower prices of all the other places around which was made it ideal.

I don't believe there is anything more you could ask for. Three things most important to us is, location, location, location, and you could not ask for better. For those that want to stay in the resort grounds the Pelican restaurant and bar is up there with the best around. Was on the island in the late 80s early 90s, a lot has changed and now the island has become more popular, with good reason. All in all you would be hard pushed not to have a great vacation with cherished memories.

Hands down the best beach I've ever been to!
The Condo: The condo was perfect! It was clean, spacious and cozy. The location could not have been better.You are RIGHT ON the beach with gorgeous views day and night. The sunsets from the balcony are unbelievable! The pictures online do not even come close to capturing the beauty. It is literally breathtaking. Andrew was a great host. We were greeted with a note and a bottle of wine. Nice touch! He responded quickly to any questions we had. We had no issues with the condo or the stay.
The Resort: Royal West Indies was amazing. It was very clean and well manicured. The grounds are beautiful. Every staff member we encountered was super friendly and helpful. The resort was quiet, but fun. We enjoyed happy hour at the restaurant. We met so many visitors that have been coming to Turks and Caicos for multiple years and they continue to stay at Royal West Indies because they love it so much.
The beach: WOW!!! Words can not properly describe the beauty of the beach and water! The color was so unbelievable and it was so clear!! Like I said, the pictures do not do it justice. You will be in awe every day!
The island: Providenciales has such a great vibe. It is quiet, but full of fun. There are plenty of restaurants and shops. We were on a girls' trip and felt safe everywhere. There are several excursions to enjoy if that's what you are looking for, but it would be an amazing trip without them as well.
You will LOVE staying here!

We stayed here for one week as our first trip to Turks and Caicos and it was amazing! The ocean view from the terrace is unmatched! The Calabash Suite is clean and wonderfully appointed with everything you need. It’s close to everything and in a superb location. Highly recommend!

The Calabash Suite at the Royal West Indies Resort was a dream vacation. My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks. We felt like we had the best condo in the building and the entire resort. The second floor allowed AMAZING views of the beautiful beach. The wrap around deck was where we spent mornings having coffee and evenings having cocktails. The unit had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The only issue we had was the mattress was very soft and swooped in the middle which made for sore backs. Everything else was satisfactory. The kitchen was stocked nicely and the furniture was clean and comfortable in the living room. The filtered water and ice cubes was a plus so we didn’t have to buy bottles of water and bags of ice. There is several spices and sugars left by others and coffee filters. The proximity to the beach is the best for running up to your room all day long. The beach is amazing and there are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas and always fresh beach towels. The unit has a couple different sizes of coolers and floaties to use.
I would highly recommend the Calabash Suite. This was our third visit to the island and we would definitely stay here again.

Well equipped one bedroom apartment. Kitchen was everything we needed. King bed was very comfortable. Location is superb, especially with The Pelican restaurant right downstairs.

The condo is very clean and looks exactly as it does in the photos. Our host was extremely responsive and the communication was fantastic. The view from the balcony is unparalleled. It’s an amazing place and we will definitely come back!

The condo is spacious, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The large patio is a wonderful place to enjoy all meals. We did not use the TV but assume it has whatever one needs. Wifi good. Resort very popular with families with young children. Beach is beautiful and swimming in the sea is divine.

My wife and I spent 2 amazing weeks at the one-bedroom oceanfront Calabash suite for our 40th anniversary. It was a five star stay all the way. The view from the balcony was outstanding; the turquoise ocean framed by bright white sand was breathtaking. The suite and its amenities are all up to date and in great working order. Our host Andrew made sure our anniversary was an extra special day and Elaine our housekeeper pampered our every need. The Royal West Indies resort is extremely well appointed and the onsite Pelican restaurant was outstanding. We'll definitely be going back.

After exploring the island we still think this is the best location on Grace Bay, and having an ocean front suite made it even more perfect. The condo was clean and well appointed, communication with the property manager was easy, and check-in / check-out was seamless. The mid-week housekeeping service was such and appreciated bonus. We’re already planning our return trip!

This was a wonderful place to stay. Andrew was the best host ever. He answered my every question (and they were many) promptly. And the property itself was beautiful and totally comfortable. The ocean front balconey allows you to enjoy the ocean and beach without sun exposure. We will be back!!! I recommend this property highly!

The location is absolutely amazing and lived up to the pictures. Had a playpen which was really convenient. Had all of the basic necessities. Very clean. AC and internet worked great. And the location of the Royal West Indies was less crowded than other parts of Grace Bay. Had no issues and would strongly recommend.

We just returned from a week in the beautiful turks and Caicos's and was fortunate to sign the calabash unit. We couldn't have been happier with the location on one of the prettiest beaches. Most everyone we met that was staying at the resort was returning even after trying other resorts. Close enough to walk to everything but far enough away to have a peaceful stay. Communication was wonderful the unit was exactly as described and very clean. We enjoyed our stay so much we have already contacted the owner to rebook for next year. If you're looking for a beautiful peaceful clean place to stay we highly recommend but we will tell you this, book early as it is already booking up for next year

Beachfront yet private
No better view or location on the quiet end of Grace Bay Beach- the shaded deck and well stocked kitchen were greatly appreciated. The bed was comfortable and A/C worked flawlessly. We were looking for a vacation of total relaxation and found it at the Calabash Suite at Royal West Indies Resort! Plenty of conveniences to make the stay easy and comfortable (restaurants, grocery and activities) but far away from crowds with a nice wide span of beach and large pool deck areas for lounging. We never felt a scarcity for towels, chairs or service at the wonderful outdoor bar.
