Paul's Lodge is a timberframe spa nestled in the woods on beautiful Skaneateles Lake.
This property is a work of art. Guests who enjoy music, art, nature, spa relaxation, wine and fine furnishings will be attracted to Paul's Lodge.
Our Tram Carriage escorts guests from main floor deck to lake dock. ZERO steps to the lake! Mobility friendly property with just one step from driveway to Lodge and main floor bedroom/bathroom.

Spectacular timberframe home with grand forest and lake views. Two story great room with player system grand piano, fireplace, kitchen with granite and stainless. Outdoor living room with massive fireplace, flat screen TV, dining area and lake viewing areas. Wine cellar spa with hot tub, sauna, outdoor shower and massage table. Massage therapist eagerly available. Master king suite with sitting room, with linens, some robes and essentials included.

Paul's Lodge is friendly for handicapped or elderly guests considering it is built into the side of a mountain forest. (not ADA specs but handicapped "friendly")
Paul's Lodge was carefully designed to serve the purposes of two seemingly different types of vacationers. With beds for 11 and a large indoor/outdoor living space on the main floor, the lodge is suited for large or multi family vacations, corporate groups, 'all girls or guys weekends' etc. On the other hand, the design is cleverly laid out to accommodate the small, intimate group that wants a peaceful, cozy respite on the lake. The Lodge is ideal for the romantic couple wanting to enjoy the fall leaves as well as the family vacationers. I believe we've pulled it off.
Come to Paul's Lodge. Relax. Listen to over 1000 hours of music on our player grand piano as you taste on of our eight Dr. Frank's award-winning wines. Schedule a massage night as your guests rotate about the spa equipment: hot tub, dry sauna, outdoor shower and massage therapy. Enjoy nature on our decks and patios as you enjoy the sounds and smells of the forest and beautiful Skaneateles Lake. And ride up and down on the Tram Carriage from Lodge to Lake. Note: Paul’s Lodge is accessed down a sloped forest gravel road and four wheel drive is required. (We have alternate parking suggestions for 2 wheel drive). You can expect the drive to be part of your adventure.

Loved our stay! This was our 4th year at Paul’s but first at the lodge (we’ve previously stayed at the cabin next door). Absolutely beautiful property - loved the seclusion and views. Great for our entire family, 7 adults, 1 teenager, 2 young kids and a baby. Already booked again for next year!

The views from the decks are amazing and the tram to get down to the lake is very nice. Unfortunately we had several issues and none of them were resolved during our stay even though we communicated with the caretaker and the owner. The water in all sinks and showers came out in spurts. This made showering difficult. Also, the main floor shower would randomly switch to the bath tap and it was difficult to impossible to switch it back. In addition the toilets were EXTREMELY loud when flushed and if someone had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, everyone would be woken up. We were informed that the loud noises and the spurting water were likely caused by issues with the pump which pulls water from the lake, but nothing was done to fix it. The hot tub was empty when we went to use it and although the caretaker said he would come fill it, this did not happen so we were unable to use it. We also did not use the sauna as it was filled with dead leaves and probably spiders. The outdoor couch was filthy!! The light fixtures were ALL covered in cobwebs, but more importantly my son’s bed was covered in sawdust!! This was not good for his asthma. The front listing clearly states 3 FULL bathrooms. This is INACCURATE! The downstairs bathroom is a half bath. There is a separate outdoor shower but that is NOT in the bathroom and was not even operational when we were there. The host is not quick to respond and granted our request for a late check out the day after we left.
