The property was secure, and the rooms were clean and generally ok.
The restaurant directly behind the property provided an unexpected soundtrack, playing loud music well into the night, making a peaceful night’s sleep something of a luxury. Opening the curtains for natural light or the windows for fresh air was hardly an option. Thankfully, there was air conditioning. The Wi-Fi, however, was completely useless in the room, and mobile network coverage was practically non-existent. So much for staying connected! It was almost impressive how completely disconnected one could feel in the modern age. A rather frustrating experience, to say the least.
