Situated in West Bay, this lovely house for $300 per night is a great option for your next break. Casa Tortuga is located in West Bay Village, a small oasis of eight privately owned homes right on West Bay Beach. Just a moment’s stroll from many bars and restaurants. Private and convenient, this location is unbeatable, close to the amenities of West Bay Beach yet secluded and private surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Just 10 meters off the beach you will encounter amazing snorkeling & diving, exploring our reefs could not be easier! Casa Tortuga is a modern Caribbean beach house steps away from world-famous West Bay Beach. This 2-bedroom, 2-bath second story unit offers privacy along with stunning ocean views. The home features 3 (optional) air-conditioning units, one in each bedroom and one in the living-dining area. Also 5 ceiling fans located all around the house including the outdoor balcony. Fiber-optic, high speed wifi and cable-tv are included. The living room has a 50” LG flat-panel television with comfortable Bassett furniture couch and loveseat. This past January 2020 we screened in the balcony area, added a bar-height patio set to allow a comfortable pest-free outdoor space. We also replaced the bedroom furniture, lighting/fan fixtures and added Sealy Posturepeadic mattresses. Bedroom-1 offers the comfort of a queen size bed along with a beautiful tiled ensuite bath with travertine shower and double sinks. Bedroom-2 offers the flexibility of two twin-beds or one king size bed along with a beautifully tiled ensuite bath with walk-in travertine shower. The living room can double as a third sleeping area with a queen size, gel-foam, sofa sleeper. Vaulted ceilings create a very open atmosphere for the kitchen, dining and living room areas. The fully equipped kitchen offers granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and a dishwasher, all with a fabulous ocean view. We partnered with one of the best property managers on Roatan, they are available for any questions you may have during your stay. At check-in you will receive a local cell phone for ease of communication on the island. Our property managers also have a concierge for assistance with a dinner reservation, maps or desired island activities. ~SPECIAL NOTES~ ~Prices are based on 4-person occupancy. Additional persons, up to 6 total may be accommodated for $25/person/night. ~Cable TV and WiFi included. ~Purified drinking water is provided. ~Laundry Service is available for an additional charge. ~Air-Conditioning is optional at $25 per night as some parts of the year it’s not needed. ~We provide discounted rates for stays of 28-days or longer. ~Guests can request additional cleanings for $90 each. ~Desired bedding setup option for Bedroom-2 will be required at booking - 1-King Bed or 2-Twin Beds? ~Posted rates do not include 19% Honduran tax, but 'instant quote' will.

My BF and I stayed here in September 2023. The house was just as advertised. It is perfect for your stay in West Bay. We had a parking space which was good. There was plenty of dishes/pots/pans to cook some meals. They provided water. We enjoyed the screened in porch you can see part of the beach/water from the porch. The location is great to walk to restaurants along the beach. We took a couple of boat trips and were picked up right in front of the property. It would be nice if they had a washer and dryer onsite. Other than that, I recommend Casa Tortuga. Enjoy your stay!

The previous reviews were dead on. We always stay in locations based on the reviews, and this home was no exception. Before arriving to the location the wife and I were a bit concerned with the security because it was not a major resort / hotel, but have no worries we alway saw a guard outside the property at all time and felt very safe. We will be back, we thank you.

Casa Tortuga was exceptionally clean, with a very well stocked kitchen, as well as extra linens and towels. The condo is very spacious, with a nice layout in the living room and dining area. The enclosed patio area (with ceiling fan) was pleasant for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The AC units were more than adequate to keep the common area and bedrooms comfortable. The location is the best in West Bay, being about 50 steps from the surf. The water taxi is right in front of the property and just a three-minute beach walk to some of the best snorkeling in the world. Plenty of great dining options with a ten-minute walk. Overall great experience. Next time, we'll rent the downstairs unit as well and invite a few more people! Thanks Carmina, for sharing your awesome property with us!

We had a great stay at Casa Tortuga. We felt very safe there with a guard station at the entrance to the neighborhood and guards at the entry to the neighborhood from the beach. Step off the porch directly into the sand barefoot and 30 steps to the beach. The best snorkeling on the island is just left when you hit the beach. Plenty of restaurants, souvenir stores, etc. along that stretch of beach. West Bay we felt was a better destination than West End or the sleepy East End at Camp Bay that we stayed at as well.
The house had great A/C, was clean, well-equipped, and the screen porch with views of the ocean was the best as the bugs there can get overwhelming....lots of bug bites wherever we went in the evenings.
In hindsight, I don't think we would have booked any other property. Great value for the money.

We love visiting Roatan, and West Bay Village. Our flights were extremely delayed, and they made CHECK-IN so simple and accommodating. Definitely recommend this beautiful property!

As so, many have said, beautifully laid out home. Every convenience and appliance you would want. Wonderful easy AC to operate. And most important to us top notch, snorkeling, right out in front of infinity bay. We have snorkeled all over the world, and thought this tied with Tahiti as the best snorkeling.
Both bedrooms and bathrooms are private so it’s great for two couples.

My family of 4 stayed in Casa Tortuga while my brother’s family rented out Casa Martin (we’d all been to Casa Martin years earlier and came back with bigger families), and I was really impressed with Casa Tortuga- to the point that I wished we had more time there rather than hanging out at Casa Martin so much…that’s high praise! The screened in porch gives a great view of the ocean and the interior is clean and up to date. Would definitely recommend and will hope to return.

Beautiful accommodation! Perfect location. We are 2 couples who needed a serious dose of R&R. What a perfect place to do & have just that! All communications leading up to our visit was fast and friendly.
We enjoyed a terrific thunder/lightning & rainstorm on the screened-in porch. The beds were very comfortable and the many fans kept the air moving. The AC worked great, the water pressure was good. The kitchen was well stocked. Our favorite thing was the very short walk to the beautiful beach and water! Spent a LOT of time in the ocean admiring the beautiful view and the yummy pina coladas that Sammy the guy in the kayak would make for us! (They are SOOOO good, and HE is a great representation of the friendly people of Roatan!) Then a short walk back to the house (and a rinse in the outdoor shower). The unit has plenty of towels and 4 big beach towels too. The ONLY thing I would like to have added is a clothes line. There are outdoor hooks, but an actual clothes line would help things dry better I think. ;)

Tortuga house is a great place to stay in Roatan. Close to beach, restaurants and great diving and snorkeling. The house is equipped with cooking essentials, beach cups, plenty of towels and a nice screened in deck. You can see the beach from the deck. Roatan Vacation Rentals are great to work with, and respond quickly as do the owners of the house. Will be staying there again next year.

We celebrated our 40th anniversary during our stay at Casa Tortuga. The house was great. Very comfortabe furniture in the great room. The couch is great for a nap in the heat of the day. The beds are very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and have meals at the house. The neighborhood is quiet and the view of the beach from the porch is awesome. The reef off the beach makes for great snorkling.

We spent a week at Casa Tortuga with our two teenagers and loved every minute of our time there. There is a great view of the beach and ocean from the screened in porch. The option of splitting the king bed into two twin beds was perfect for our family of 4. The home was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for the week. The location of the home in West Bay Village was ideal as it is within a few minute walk of the best snorkeling we have ever had! It is close to many of our favorite restaurants and shops as well. Many thanks to Carmina and Mark for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home! We hope to visit again soon!

We had the pleasure of staying in 2 places in the West Bay area over the course of our visit to this Honduran Paradise, both situated just off the beach near the prime snorkeling. After some pampering at a nearby resort, we moved our gear to Casa Tortuga and immediately fell in love with the place. The home was quite welcoming with a laid back beachy vibe and a great porch for eating breakfast in (and drying wet gear from the endless snorkel trips). We could go from front door to snorkelling in 3 minutes or less (yes it's that close) and found the convenience of leaving shoes and gear in the front entry porch ideal. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could want and then some which worked great for making breakfast daily (ROA Market at the far end of West Bay just opened for easy grocery access). This is definitely a place we'll come back to stay in, unless we end up buying a place of our own on the island because who wouldn't want a little piece of paradise to call home:)
I also want to say how great the management company was, going above and beyond to ensure a relaxing stay. Communication was easy via email and Whatsapp and they helped to arrange tours and transportation which made our stay stress free. And when I left my phone in the van on the way to the airport, they quickly worked with the driver to have it returned to me before our flight took off (HUGE props for being so quick to help). They easily made this a 5+ rental worth every penny!

This is our 3rd time staying in West Bay, Roatan and our 2nd time at Casa Tortuga in West Bay Village. The hosts, Carmina and Mark, have been exceptional with how they have treated us when needing to reschedule due to covid lockdown in 2020, and are friendly and responsive. The property managers are also very great to deal with and are responsive to questions via whatsapp or email.
We love the location of Casa Tortuga on the best beach on the island. The deck is perfect for mealtimes and relaxing when not on the beach.
As a scuba diver, the outdoor shower is great, and proximity to numerous dive shops. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for cooking in, including insulated cups with lids for taking drinks to beach. The security guards are wonderful and a great asset to have and they are there just for the few rental houses in West Bay Village where Casa Tortuga is.
We will be returning and absolutely recommend this place.

This property is as pictured and comes with more than ample big plush towels and extra bedding. We especially enjoyed sitting and eating in the screened in porch. There is a small view of the beach and water from the porch and it is wonderful to be outside, but not in the elements.
The kitchen was well equip and everything was especially clean.

This was a perfect location on West Bay, the best beach on the island. Steps away from crystal clear waters and unbelievably snorkeling off the beach. The home was well updated and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay.

We have stayed at West Bay Village a couple of time before. Absolutely love it. first time at Casa Tortuga. The view of beach from kitchen and outdoor area is beautiful plus you are steps away from the beach. We definitely hope to stay again.
If I had to give one bit of feedback it would be to provide more toilet roll! We did run out at the end of the trip but there were 5 of us staying there.

This is the place...
We couldn't have found a better location. Steps from the beach! The team at Roatan vacation rentals is kind and helpful. The home is nicely decorated and inviting. The screened in porch is amazing! Well stocked in terms of quality cooking pots/pans/etc.. We had plenty of towels, linens, and water and didn't have to request anything additional. There were many options for fun excursions that were provided. There was a basket of sunscreen provided at the front door that was a nice touch. Definitely make time for the private chef. Absolutely delicious, highly recommend the conch soup (I don't even like conch) and the key lime pie is a must. Our only regret is that we didn't have the chef come earlier in our trip so we could have her come twice.

We loved staying at Casa Tortuga, enjoyed being a few steps from the beach and great snorkeling, but far enough back to avoid the people during the busy times if we wanted. So convenient to restaurants and shopping. The guards made sure to have beach chairs arranged and other property rental customers were on the most part friendly and sociable. The property itself is as pictured. A lovely beach style unit with everything you might need. Beds comfortable and kitchen well equipped. We used the screened-in porch alot. Stairway is steep (my husband has some recent health issues so stairs were difficult) but I had no problem with it. We highly recommend this rental unit.

Perfect Location!
West Bay Beach is seriously amazing - and this condo had us right in the middle of it! The condo location is perfect. West Bay Beach is very busy so we loved being set back slightly in Casa Tortuga. The sandy lane to all of the condos felt special and secluded. The screen porch was our favorite part of the condo with a lovely ocean view and breezes. Overall the condo setup was perfect for two couples. We did some cooking in the kitchen and had everything we needed. Can't say enough good things about Casa Tortuga, West Bay Village & West Bay Beach!

3rd stay in West Bay Village- favorite house so far!
We had a lovely time in Casa Tortuga! The house was well appointed and cozy! Super clean and had plenty of towels, etc. Our toaster didn't work, but literally our only hiccup. The management team was awesome. We can't say enough about the house. Plenty of information was given at check in. From COVID testing to any activity you could think of... all in the booklet given at check in. Check in was super quick! We were on the beach in less than an hour from pick up!
We did have an issue with Casa Martin guests having a party with 50+ people. That was a lot in sleepy West Bay Village. No lounge chairs for the people staying here. My only comment would be to confirm the amount of people in each house. We have never had that happen before. A group rented two houses and have 30 people + invited an additional 15-20. It was overwhelming to fight a mass of people to make it back to your house. For New Year's Eve the party grew and took over the walk way to the houses...Even larger than the day.
All of that was outside the control of the property managers of this house. Casa Tortuga was a wonderful house and a great vacation! Thank you for allowing us to spend a week in your house! We are already re-booked for later this year and will be booking in December! We give 5+ stars!!! The best stay in West Bay to date!!!
