About this cottage rental
The Grade II listed cottage is a former shooting residence of the Earl of Marlborough. The building dates back to the 1700s and has retained many of it original features but has recently undergone a thorough modernisation. The original slate floor in the kitchen and huge inglenook fireplace provide a cosy setting for a family get together in front of the wood-burning stove. The private hot tub in the enclosed garden with views out over the valley provide a great setting any time of the year.

Really good heating and they left menus for all sorts of places which was a nice touch cleaners arrived next morning were super friendly too

We had a lovely stay here. Would really recommend this place, for a weekend away with friendsfamily. The host was very helpful with recommendations and quick to reply. The area is very peaceful with great views. Thank you ☺️

The location is perfect, beautiful setting in amongst the hills. Well equipped property, had everything we needed.
Mould on walls in bedroom, hot tap in bathroom drips and spa pool filter change was 4 days overdue on arrival. As an old property you expect uneven floor boards and worn furnishings, but a lot of dust on surfaces and window seats, curtains and cushions could do with a clean.
