About this house rental
This is a classic Carolina coast four bedroom home built on stilts, right on the beach front in Oak Island, North Carolina. Down the steps and you are on the beach. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is a laundry room downstairs. The whole house was remodeled and all new furniture was purchased in 2016. We are remodeling both bathrooms in Fall 2018. The front room is wide open and with wonderful views of the ocean. We love this place and are sure you will enjoy it, too. The house sleeps 11 people on 3 queen beds, and five single beds (two bunkbeds). There is a futon in the front room. We have had fun vacationing here for 20 years and we're sure that you and your family will enjoy it, too. *During the high season in May, June, July, August and September we ask guests to book their stay for a minimum of 7 nights with a Saturday to Saturday check-in and check-out

I would definitely stay here again! The view from the porch and living room was fantastic, the house was right on the beach. There were ample chairs for use on the porch as well as down at the beach. The house was very spacious and well stocked. Linens were SUPER soft and towels very plush. Plenty of blankets and pillows were provided as well. Everything you could need was stocked in the kitchen and there was enough seating around the table for my group of 8. Bathrooms were nice with good water pressure, comfort height toilets, and plenty of light. The house was clean and the owners were very responsive both before and during the vacation! I hope to return here.

We had a wonderful two weeks at this beach front house. It was spacious enough for our family of 5! I enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen- they have everything from crab crackers to a muffin pan. They also have lots of sand toys/buckets/boogie boards in the downstairs laundry room. We had a blast and can’t wait to return for our 4th trip to this home.

A beautiful spacious home right on the beach. Perfect for a family looking for a more secluded area. The older teens liked being able to go to the beach whenever they wanted and be within sight. Well stalked kitchen, large tv (for my gaming child) and a wonderful view from the deck. One of the best parts of the vacation was learning all about the many sea turtles that lay their eggs on this beach. Sadly, we were 5 minutes late to see the clutch hatch behind the house. The owners were great!!!

The house was a perfect fit for us. It rained a couple days and with the view from the table, we were able to see the ocean while playing board games. The kitchen is FULLY stocked! We’ve rented some places that only had the bare minimum but this house has it all. I keep going back to the view. It’s amazing! We would stay again just for the view!

We had an excellent week here and would absolutely stay again. Like other reviewers the living room is more spacious than pictured. My husband and I actually slept on the bed in the living room since our toddler isn't great at sharing a room yet. A bed in the living sounds weird but it's a perfect place to watch the ocean through the huge windows and relax or take a nap. The place was very well stocked. No major complaints and would absolutely stay here again!

We love oak island and enjoyed our stay at this property, can't beat being right on the ocean. They had everything extremely well stocked and had a great selection of beach toys and water activities.

First off, the host are exceptionally nice and worked with us and answered any questions. We had a few kinks to start but nothing they didn’t resolve right away. The property is beautiful and way more spacious in person than it looks in the pictures and when I tell you the owners are 100% right when they say all you need to bring is a toothbrush… they ain’t lying. 10/10

The house was absolutely amazing and is exactly as described. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking full breakfasts and dinners. The living space easily accommodated our whole family for game nights. The bedrooms were very nice and comfortable and having two full bathrooms was so helpful! The laundry room was full of beach goodies that our kids loved playing with. The location was perfect, the house outstanding, and the view….incredible! The owner was quick with responses and helpful!

This was a great place to stay! Checking in and checking out of this home was simple! The owner was correct, we pretty much just needed out tooth brushes! The only negative thing I have to stay about this rental is that there were no shades on the windows in the living room. I can't blame them, I wouldn't want to spoil the view either, but at night, it would be helpful to keep beach combers from creeping in on you LOL...not that it happend, but we did feel a bit uneasy with "who could be" looking in on us.
As I previously said, the place was perfect for our small family but would also be perfect for a larger family with Kids, because of the bunk beds in one of the rooms.
Will definitely keep this property at the top of our list for next years trip!! Highly Recommended.

My friend and I rented for a week off season, it was fantastic! Casa Martita was so clean and right on the beach. We loved that it was further down the island, we had no neighbors on the beach all week! It was so quiet! Kevin was so responsive! And the check in/out process was the quickest yet! Thanks Casa Martita for a wonderful week!

Gift at the Sea
This vacation was truly a gift. We all needed the R&R and this place sure fit the bill. I give the hosts 5 stars for their attention to our needs and concerns. The house had everything you would need for fun at the beach. Bikes, kayaks, sand toys, kites, boogie boards, etc. Love this place and would certainly come back.

Delightful
Easy access to beach. Everything we used worked including the ice maker on fridge which was wonderful. Well stocked kitchen with pots to cook, utensils, coffee cups, glasses, etc. TV in one back bedroom stopped working but it didn’t bother us. Easy to use WiFi and tvs overall. The only thing that was tough, neither shower was draining water very well. The tile flooring in the one shower is loose and soggy. We only used it once as a result, using the tub shower instead. Ordered pizza from Pepperoni Grill, nice! Mostly fished and was able to catch 3 dinners worth. The furniture is wonderful, beds awesome, hangers in closets, nice big dining table, plenty of chairs on covered porch. Nice upgraded ceiling fans in every room. Oh and laundry room was. It scary and it all worked. Great place to stay!

Right on Beach ! Lots of extra things around for your stay. Providing linens is a big plus! I would stay here again a nice area to visit and relax. A rocking chair would be a great addition . Thanks so much !

Family vacation
This is the second time I have rented this house. My family and I love how it is open. The best part is the porch. Everyone hangs out on the porch it is the perfect location on the beach. We will rent it again.

We very much enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect, right on the beach and with a lot of seating options out on the deck. The owners are extremely responsive to any questions, and the check in/checkout process was a breeze.

Great beach house!
We spent our post-Christmas week at Oak Island and this was the perfect house. Great layout, nice view, and easy access to the beach. A very comfortable home and great communication by the owner!

Very nice place.
This was a very nice property and the owner was wonderful to deal with. The home is exactly as the listing reflects and the kitchen is well stocked. Our family will return to this location. Highly recommend it.

Look's just like all the pictures. Clean and well maintained. The owner was quick to respond and very nice. I would stay again and recommend any one to stay. The porch was wonderful to relax on and a great view.
