Large entertainment area with games and indoor braai. Great for family get togethers. Best facilitated large kitchen with every amenity you can think of for self catering.
Outside bedroom area and main braai area not suitable for elderly / disabled persons. Above average high stairs and NO hand rails! Bedrooms and bathrooms rather basic. Communication with host lacking.

The lodge was more than we expected. The layout was ideal with the rooms seperated from the main building. The house literally has everything one would require, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the ice machine was beneficial on the warm days. We booked the game viewer vehicle for two days and our entire group loved that we could get on a game viewer at our house and at the times we preferred.
I would definitely go back to Milkwood Safari Lodge again.
The only negative was the lighting outside the rooms was very bright right through the night. There is no way to turn off nor a way to block with curtains or a blind. This could easily be added to make sleeping experience better.

The place was excellent for what we intended it for - a few days to breakaway as a family and spend some time in the peace and quiet of the bush. It had everything we needed, a great boma area for the evenings to braai and sit around the fire. An excellent "living area" for the kids to play table tennis and other games.
