About this house rental

Situated in Chetek, this lovely house for $200 per night is a great choice for your next break. Welcome to the Lodge, the newest addition to our lakefront properties. The front 1/2 of our main building has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths and offers plenty of space for large families. It is located on a small, family friendly resort that has been in business for over 100 years. We are within walking distance to downtown and very near a nice variety of restaurants. It has a private patio and entrance overlooking a park like setting and a great view of the lake from the main living area. We have a fully stocked kitchen and dining tables to seat up to 12 people and a couple of stools for the kids at the counter. The main floor has Laundry, kitchen, living and dining area and a bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom. Upstairs you will find 2 more bedrooms and a sitting room with a futon that share a full bathroom, and a large master suite with a king size bed and bathroom with a corner tub and walk-in shower. The other bedrooms have a queen bed and two twins. We have dock space to leave your boats in the water and our own private boat launch. The patio has a gas grill and we have plenty of charcoal grills and ares to have small campfires. We are limiting the number of guests to 10 in keeping with the family atmosphere.

Everything was great with some minor issues with distribution of cool air. The place was near the water with good views out large corner windows. Liked the large kitchen separate from the living/TV room. Master bedroom suite was spacious and very attractive with great bed. Other main bedrooms were a little small but had nice closets. Futon room was small but great for a teenager. Loved the mud room in the entry with a door to close it off. Outside patio was also roomy with tables and chairs and shade and grills but the dryer vent could be annoying if in operation. Nice dock area for fishing and boats. Upstairs AC thermostat was in master suite so we almost froze to keep other bedroom cool. AC in kitchen downstairs was effective but needed fan to blow it into the downstairs bedroom and then into the dining room. Could have used more chairs around dining room table. Large closet downstairs was stocked with games and puzzles. Lots of books to read. Could walk or bike to town, especially the DQ. We would go back if we need the space again.
