About this house rental

Situated in Stone Harbor, this charming house for $940 per night is a great option for your next break. We usually do not rent from the 3d week of June through the end of August. - family uses the house. Please check with owner for Rates because rate structure on VRBO can sometimes be confusing and rates may be different than shown. Minimum rental is usually 2 nights and if you want to rent a Friday or Sat night, the full weekend rate applies to the second night whether it is a Thurs or a Sunday. Nightly rate is generally an add on to a weekend rental. If you want to rent just mid week, the night rate depends on when you want to stay and how long. . Our home, which has been in the family for 3 generations, has been totally renovated and upgraded to a modern house with all the amenities you want. The house still maintains it's original charm and comfort. We only rent it out only part of the time and we price it at very reasonsable rates for this reason, especially for a house this nice. Please see the reviews we receive. It is about a 5 minute walk to the YCSH, the Windrift, the Icona Inn or 10 minutes to the Reeds, and other event venues. This house boasts a kitchen downstairs, kitchenette upstairs, and family rooms on both floors. The downstairs kitchen has all modern appliances, with an oversized center island that can easily seat 4, 2 sinks, a seperate beverage fridge, and everything you need for cooking, including a stocked spice cabinet. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the tools you need prepare great meals for your family and friends. The living/dining/kitchen open area leads out to a full size in-ground swimming pool with ample outdoor furniture and an outside shower to rinse the sand off before you plunge into the very large pool (one of the largest, if not the largest, on the Island! Pool is usually open from around Memorial Day Weekend to late September, but please check with owner if pool will be open later than September). Or spend time at the Stone Harbor recreation area 3 short blocks away, with 12 tennis courts, basketball courts, playground and various ball fields. Or walk to town in just 8 blocks where you must be sure to get Springers famous ice cream and stroll the town or catch a movie. Or walk to Buds Market less than 3 blocks away if you want to get food and grill on our Weber grill. This house has 7 nicely decorated, comfortable bedrooms. The upstairs master has a king size bed and balcony, the downstairs master has a king size bed, and front porch. There is also another queen bedroom and a third bedroom with two singles on the first floor and 2 bathrooms. Upstairs has a total of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom has a king, two have queens, and the largest has 3 singles. We have central air and heat, 2 wood burning fireplaces and enough balconies and windows to enjoy the ocean breeze. This house is perfect for any family gathering of up to 12 people, plenty of places to hide, 3 balconies to choose from! It has several large flat screen tvs, including a few smart tvs. In the Summer, weekly rentals are Friday to Friday. If inquiring about last 2 weeks of August it usually has to be a weekly rental. LINENS AND/OR TOWELS CAN BE SUPPLIED BY A SERVICE FOR A SMALL REASONABLE FEE. MOST GUESTS DO NOT WANT THIS, SO I DO NOT INCLUDE THE COST IN THE CHARGES. We stayed at this house for my brothers wedding this fall. It was a perfect house to accommodate our large group- 9 adults and 4 small children. The day of the wedding the groomsmen were able to come over for a bit to hang out on the first floor while the kids were watched and played on the second floor. The location was a perfect spot- close to Icona and close to Stone Harbor Main Street. We were able to walk home from the Reeds (about 20 mins) so no need to wait for an Uber. Would definitely recommend!

Enjoyed a happy family gathering in this roomy beach house. Walked two blocks to beautiful uncrowded beach and ten blocks to cute downtown area. The house had more than enough bedrooms and a good mix of kings, queens and twins. Great kitchen, big and very well supplied. A couple of good takeout restaurants only three blocks away. Overall wonderful comfortable place for multigenerational group.

Excellent location/host

A short walk to the beach. Deceptively large house (more rooms than you would think). Authentic, homey charm with nice local touches-you feel like you really love here rather than at the giant prefabs going up all over the place. So close to the beach, but away from the crowded hotel areas. A short walk to town. We spent most of our evenings eating dinner out by the pool. The previous guests had left the house in less than ideal condition, but Barry and his family went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Thanks Barry and all!

For our large family, this house had a great layout: enough rooms & beds & bathrooms, open space to be together & work, and enough places for the introverts among us to retreat to reenergize. We appreciated the spacious kitchen & dining room table, the cozy corner for visiting & movies, & the separate upstairs to go to. A minute's drive to the wedding venue we were a part of, a short walk to the lovely beach & close to town shopping. . Great to have street & driveway parking. Thank you so much.

The only negative feedback I received from my family after our stay with Barry, was that they wished we were staying longer. The house was great and the pictures are accurate. The location was really great. Quick 5 minute walk right on to a lifeguard beach or a 10 minute walk into town for drinks, ice cream, shopping, or a movie.

What a house

What a house

This home is huge. We were seven adult and two kids (4 & 1). We didn’t begin to take up all the space. The kitchens (yup, two of them) were nice, especially the main one. The pool was clean and refreshing. The neighbors were super friendly. Walking distance (~10 blocks) from the main drag. It’s a good spot. Hopefully we get to come back. The only downside is having to bring your own linens and towels but the home is worth the extra luggage.

Best Vacation Home in Stone Harbor NJ & Possibly the State

This house is truly a dream come through for a wonderful vacation! We had a family reunion that involved 14 people and there was more than enough room for all of us without getting on top of each other. There are 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms and 7 large bedrooms. The house comes with everything you need except linens and food. It’s beautifully maintained and has a large, deep pool. The owners are easy to work with and answer questions quickly. The area is great with the beach and attractions nearby. We are considering this house for our next family reunion.

The house was exactly as advertised and perfect for a large family get-together! It was located walking distance to shops and restaurants, and we had plenty of space to shower and get ready for a wedding, and then relax and unwind afterwards! If we return to the area with another large group, we'll definitely try to come back here!
